They are all Japanese (Harvey is half Australian and Hinata is half Korean i believe), but their company(XGALX) is based in Korea. It's sub label of AVEX Inc. which is Japanese company. XG will always pay homage to the OG whenever they release new songs because they are inspired by them. They often release XG Tape (their mixtapes), XG Vox (cover songs), and XG Move (dance choreography videos). So, don’t be surprised if you hear their homages to the OG like Jay-Z. One of their rappers, Cocona (the one with the self-shaved head) said it herself that she wanted to become a rapper at the age of 3 after listening to Lauryn Hill’s songs for the first time.
XG always refer themselves to a wolf pack. Their fandom name is the Alphaz. Simon Jakops (the guy you see at the beginning of Woke Up music video) trained them thoroughly for about 5 years straight before they debut in 2022. They gave a painting of wolf head painted by one of their members, Hinata, for his birthday gift! 😂
They also like the alien invading planet theme since they release Shooting Stars in 2023. Metaphorically, this make sense because the word alien also foreigners and they aiming for the global industry and whoever they considered at the top. Their debut song is call Tippy Toes as in they will keep the top artists on their “Tippy Toes”! 😂

If you want to hear more of their rap I’d listen to tape 2a and 2b, tape 4, galz xypher, and chill bill. If you wanna hear more singing honestly any of their other stuff is really good but you can really hear their vocals in winter without you first take and it’s all live vocals in that one.

@@DexTVReacts yes definitely start with their cypher or tapes then for more rap beats. In the cypher two different members use a popular jid beat im not sure who’s beat the other two are from, but then the tapes there’s a j Cole beat on one of them, one from nore etc

XG is a Japanese group with 4 main rappers and 3 main vocalists. All of them are also amazing dancers. They do hiphop, RnB and pop music, check out X-GENE, GRL GVNG, Undefeated and their TAPE# series from #1 to #4 for more of their hiphop and rap content. Their song Shooting Star is a great showcase of their different styles of music with how it mixes hiphop, RnB and pop all into one track. Left Right and Winter Without You are their main RnB tracks. They also have a VOX# series from #1 to #6 where the vocalists in the group do covers of other songs and really showcase their singing ability. Plus soo much more.

I actually just reacted to shooting star! Will post it soon. It was cool. I want more of a hip hop vibe like woke up! They have anything else like that. The song was dope tho!

They debuted 2 years ago - they're Japanese, but they trained and promote in South Korea, and their songs are in English. They consider themselves to be Xpop or global pop, but they go hard: they rap like crazy, sing like divas, and dance like they're a dance crew. And don't be too upset about sleeping on them - better late than never, right?
