Basically he buffed his opponent (giving him 11000 hp) and summoned his Nibiru. Meanwhile, he also nerfed himself (giving himself 3600 hp). He kept drawing and summoning to increase the possibility that he could use Slash Draw, discard a card, and have Slash Draw as the next card he draws. This will deal 2000 damage directly for each card that’s on the field.
I faced a similar deck early in my play of MD, except that player swapped life points (using Question), and left an unexpected 4000 granade on my Battle phase. The unfortunate thing is I was completely baffled to what had just happened and I didn't think to follow my instincts to max bulk up my life points during that time (I only regend to 3500). Suffice to say, I saved that lose onto my play records. It showed that there was someone out there who (like me) was playing their own style of deck, and it was quite inventive... Annoying, but original and inventive! 😂 I always respect duelist that can create and play uniquely and aren't scooping after a single interrupted combo, seriously, I hate what has happened to the soul of this once grand giant of a game...

It seems like there really is a pretty decent target audience for non-modern play styles, so I don't understand why they don't make som kind of legacy tier mode, where people can duel using only cards from specific eras. Like, one mode for each anime series (OG, GX, 5DS and so on) would be plenty. And if they're worried about the meta of those modes growing stale due to no new releases, then the can use the ban list on over-used cardd to switch it up every once in a while

This is right here is what's wrong with yugioh now. 1st turn, summoned like 87 times, literally went through their entire deck, and just blew everything to hell. I remember when yugioh used to be fun. For anyone who's gonna jump down my throat, how is it fun to just sit there and just watch someone take a 5 minute turn? You're not even playing the game at that point. You're just sitting there and losing before you even get a play

That's why i'm gonna never play Yu-Gi-Oh again. The very first when there was monster reborn, dark magician, like the very first decks and other things, it was fun to play. But now? You can combo literally with 1 starting card your whole deck and your opponent's not gonna do anything and lose. Not mention that you can lock opponent's field to block their monster placing, or spell, and some other things. This game just stopped to be fun.
For those who don't know how opponent top deck slash draw at the last card, it was because opponent activate plague spider effect to put slash draw on top of the deck to special summon plague spider from the graveyard. He activated plague spider when he has no cards in his deck, so slash draw became the last card.
Back in 2004, the only deck anyone played was a deck that deleted all cards on both players' field and hand in one turn, and then summon a bird with 200 attack that would skip your opponent's draw phase, essentially making it so your opponent had to sit and do nothing except "I end my turn" until you killed them 200 damage at a time. @@theunprofessionalartist9484I think you mean "for everything else there's master duel" but yes
The dude who built that deck put a LOT of thought and effort into it. Drawing through his ENTIRE DECK ON THE FIRST TURN, and making that spell actually powerful enough with cards on the field to wipe an opponent out on the first try. Damn. DKayed felt that one
probably netdecked it tbh. this deck has been around for awhile. Same as the ftk exodia deck.
Wow, what a good card game. I love how it involves strategy between the players, and totally isn't a fucking snoozefest and complete bull depending on who begins 99% of the time with the currwnt meta
Yeah, i think the saying is accurate that in yugioh, players could just show eachother their starting hand and decide who wins based on that alone
You basically described the current state of MtG Arena... Alchemy is a hot mess, especially with the new Heist mechanic from OTJ. Also the player base discovered how the game does unranked matchmaking - with a weighting system that makes no sense XD

Technically true
@@nbassasin8092 the difference being Otk means you get to play at least one turn. ftk means you sit and wait 10-15 minutes for them to say "I win".
@@divinityquartz3428 i know the difference, just saying if someone says dog is animal and you say mammal* even if you made it more precise original statement is still 100% correct
And its this kinda stuff why as far as I’m concerned yugioh died a long time ago. When you have to sit for 4:16 and don’t get to do anything while your opponent plays 40 cards in 1 turn that’s no longer a game. Game used to be my absolute favorite but its devolved into 1 turn trash
Just draw the out m8
This stuff was possible 20 years ago too. Exodia FTK decks were slow af. The same goes for most old combo decks.
Matches in person are supposed to be long. Let your opponent think.
On Master Duel people want fast ones tho, me as well.
@@kaz7886 true. I’ll preface this next bit with i have never been to an event so i am what one would consider a life long casual so my perception may not be accurate. FTK decks may have existed all the way back then but they were rare and often janky. It was a coin toss if they would get the perfect hand they needed to pop off or if it was gonna flop. Building a OTK/FTK wasn’t capable of consistency as far as i am aware until blackwing and six samurai. If the current beast that exists is what makes you happy and excites you, i’m happy for you man. Every time I think of reliving my childhood favorite game I'm reminded that this shit happens and I just lose all interest. Haha
When I played against this deck I was so confused what they were trying to do because they didn't get to slash draw.
I always respect duelist that can create and play uniquely and aren't scooping after a single interrupted combo, seriously, I hate what has happened to the soul of this once grand giant of a game...
As someone who's never seen that card actually work, that was oddly satisfying.
Skull Dread and cards like Plaguespreader Zombie allow u to manipulate your deck order really well now so basically it just becomes a matter of Slash Draw Solitaire
"we are at 11k, whatever he's doing we're gonna be ok"
I was like: "um maybe yes... but I'm not watching the video for that happy ending, so no"
I like how he was still talking like he had a chance to begin with 😂 I liked the optimism.
Had a guy 1st turn me, had a bunch of magics that allowed him to draw, had a couple graceful charities, kept going and going and BOOM Exodia. And I knew exactly what he was doing from the first card he laid down.
When you realize that he is watching his own replay you gotta question the authenticity of these reactions. Bravo.
I was thinking that he was watching his own replay too. Either way, it was great.
Yeah i noticed he was watching his own replay when he didn't interact with hand destruction.
It was an obvious replay from the beginning. If you think he's genuinely reacting like it's his first time seeing it, you're beyond mentally challenged.

Yeah, this is the complaint I hear the most about modern yugioh, and I agree.
It seems like there really is a pretty decent target audience for non-modern play styles, so I don't understand why they don't make som kind of legacy tier mode, where people can duel using only cards from specific eras. Like, one mode for each anime series (OG, GX, 5DS and so on) would be plenty. And if they're worried about the meta of those modes growing stale due to no new releases, then the can use the ban list on over-used cardd to switch it up every once in a while
Who here expected Exodia the moment they saw chicken game
Me tbh
I expecting trap card that only can activate when our LP is 3000 or less. That effect is make enemy LP become same with us.
And then combo it with trap card with this effect: deal 200 or something like that for each card in our graveyard.

Nobody, that's who. I haven't played serious Yu-Gi-Oh tcg in over a decade, and this just made me glad my thousands of cards are sitting in a box in a cabinet going to waste
I seriously HATE the current meta. First turn kills should simply be impossible.
I had a six samurai deck otk me. His turn took a long time, and I actually surrendered before he finished because he kept his engine going even after he had enough damage output to reduce my lp 0. I didnt have patience to watch solitaire once I realized he reached win condition
Even me with my train deck can understand that. no need to go past overkill. just punch face so we can move on.
Stick around, alot of those people have no idea how to utilize their shit. You might find them accidentally activating something that just throws the game. So many times I watch people who copy pasta meta decks get into a position where they've activated an effect they shouldn't have.
Decent players normally swing for lethal the moment they can with a negate or two in the pockets. Over playing is just asking to lose

This is a perfect example of how modern Yu-Gi-Oh is the worst game on the planet.
I thought Plaguespreader put the one card before Slash Draw being shown? Saryuja might've been the one to put the Slash Draw at bottom
Woow what a fun and interactive game... 5 minute turn OTK...
