- Installed Akkon LED headlight assemblies into my 2016 LCI 328i BMW
These are a great option for those looking for a newer look to their F30 BMWs. Easy to install and they fit the LCI model with a just moving the harness over a little.

I am not affiliated with Akkon nor is this a paid promo
I just installed these on my 2014 F30 and they work great! I did not need to code these. It was a like for like swap and they fired right up. The LED brightness is insane compared to the halogen OEM headlights. I am completely happy with these. The DRL is also very bright as well. I bought the black housing without the smoke tint and they are badass!
They are a pain in the ass to install. Dropping the bumper sucks and lining these up were tough but they are in. I recommend a pro body shop that is willing to install these headlights to do the work they will charge about 500-600$ to install in California. I spoke to Akkon directly regarding the quality and any type of DRL or LED failure problems and they said not on this particular model. I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews so I was a little skeptic.
I also just ran my car through a car wash and there was no moisture accumulation at all in housing. I did add the clear PPF for freeway driving being that this is my daily commuting vehicle. It’s a 2014 328d F30. This car is awesome on gas and is pretty quick when needed. I definitely recommend one of these for commuting.
Hope this helps anyone wanting to buy these headlights.
Love it! These would be perfect for my 2016 328I LCI. Excited to see the video of the headlights at night time!
I'll try to get some shots tonight!
Do your drls flicker?
Actually just saw your reply on a previous comment. Thank you very much!
do you still have these on? and how are they if you do
How does underneath the headlight look ? Are you able to change drl color board?
I just bought those lights, I was wondering are are they holding up now
Both daylight running lights have stopped working on mine with these headlights
@@triciamccarran2840how long did they last?
What's up bro. Nice set up! I noticed you had that white strut bar!!! Where did you get that from?
So the PRE LCI and LCI pins on the connectors are different. I have same year LCI as yours so are you saying you have to pull back the loom on the connectors and it is PRE LCI half way back?
Did you car have halogens prior to the install or LEDs?
So theese are black housing with clear lens?
Yes
I know you said you can get them to work with lci cars but what about a 2017 340i with the full led headlights from factory? Same process or will it be different connectors?
Great video. Is t Just for US version?. My F30 with halogen is ECE version. Fits?
I bought these for my 2014 435i they fit but right as I plugged them in they turn on and they don’t switch between high beam low beam and they also don’t turn off when shutting the car off? I was just wondering if there is any programming to do with it?
most likely, did you get your issue fixed?
@@mobeatz9309 nah I just sent it back
@@mobeatz9309did you ever fix the issue?
Hey how’s its going I need your help!! So I think we have the same car… I have a 2016 F30 with the whole LCI headlight setup… accident damaged the headlights so I need a replacement but shessh LCI oem are expensive especially from dealership 2500$ + labor… looking to possibly get these.. so even though they state they are not for the 2016 the headlights can still be installed?? Also do the lights come with the modules?? Or you have to buy that separate?? Any insight appreciated
These will fit the LCI - a clip must be removed on the passenger side headlight harness to move the harness close enough to plug in. The headlights do come with modules and there should be zero coding required. These are LED only and don't have any bulbs in them.
@@pnwbmw8389 thanks bro appreciate it!
I have a 320i 2015 with stock halogens for all bulbs in the front of car. Will these work? Thanks 😎
did you end up buying them?
@@AlexGarcia-yp6ovI have it in my 328 2015 and it works fine
Aye how come they come with those 3 little boxes , and can you bypass them or naw
Question, on the website they list them as 679 but it has a quantity option, does the 679 only get you in headlight or the pair ?
Bro how slow are you😂 why would they give one headlight? Obv they gonna give you the left & right one together.
Can you change the bulbs to LED lights?
Or are they halogen only?
They are hard wired LEDs
Cool. How is the light spread and cutout and night.
It's pretty good - I also did a night time video on my channel
Will it work on my 2012 BMW 328i? Will there need to be any coding with BimmerCode or something
It'll work fine. No coding required
do they have them with the chrome housing ?
Yes they do
Bro most of the video is of you no offense but wanted to see the lights more
do they come with pre installed led bulbs or can i use my own ?
They are hard wired LED
dude i got em installed a few weeks ago i can say super satisfied thank you
Those aftermarket right
Yes, these are aftermarket from Akkon
@@pnwbmw8389 oh okay that's wazzup
Hey do you have a ig? And I just brought these do you have you had any issues with them yet?
My Instagram is whtknght52
I haven't had any issues with them yet
i have a 320i 2016 sedan do you think that it can fit ?
Mine is a 2016 328i - you should have no problems fitting these as long as you have the hologen factory lights.
@@pnwbmw8389 Thank you ! One last question. Is it only plug and play or you can also put some bulbs ?
These only have LEDs in them. There are no bulbs that you can change. They are all wired in only.
Cool I'm in Puyallup Washington maybe we meet sometime
hey i just installed these same headlights, how did u get the DRL’s to work ?? mine wont turn on even though i coded it
Mine didn't have any issues. I only coded in LED headlights and high beams using bimmercode.
@@pnwbmw8389 man for some reason my DRLs wont turn on without the headlights on
@@jaketm4723 I would check and verify that the plug in is snapped all the way in. If you have bimmercode try turning the brightness off DRLs to 100%
@@pnwbmw8389 already did both of those, i guess im gonna have to get them coded, they are still flickering too even after using bimmercode
@@jaketm4723 that's very weird - I don't know why they would require anything additional. Maybe code it back to factory settings and see what that does. Maybe a weird setting got changed.
Hi, how do you set the auto headlights sensitivity on the bmw 4 series m sport?
Most likely you would have to code it in with bimmercode
Im really starting to lean towards these as an upgrade from my depos I just wish the blinker was the led eyebrow
They have a model on Amazon that has the blinker on the brow!
I’d buy your depos
Will these work on my 2016 328i base ?
Yes
