Is there a different from the expensive ones? Like brightness and or how the ring of the head light stands out when turn out? I didn’t know how to word that sentence out…
We have a 328i that was the family car. My sister wrecked that car so many times, I want to restore it as it belonged to my late fathers and fix all the cosmetic issues and make it a usable car for my mom to drive.
I was really hoping to see good video of what the LED beam looked like and how well it illuminated.Good video up to that point but then extremely weak on showing light output and pattern..

Are these the DEPO lights? I've been looking for those but they seem to be sold out most places, and the ones you link to are also sold out. I also see everywhere that they say that the DEPO lights are not compatible with HID bulbs, but I've also found on forums that people do use them with HID conversion kits. Is it just that they're not "supposed" to be used with HID so the websites say don't do it to cover their tracks? I've got a 2013 F30 and desperately need to upgrade the headlights and would love to put some new ones on there with an HID kit.
Sorry the shipping shortage is causing a huge delay and backlog. These units and all the alternative manufacturers I've talked to, quoted me at 2022 ETAs. I think I paid around 600, but considering the economy I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up.
My headlights were replaced a couple years ago and one of them is pulling the bumper alignment down. Can I loosen the headlight bolts and slide it up without taking the bumper off? Thnx.

Dude you should check with a diagnostics guy if your headlights have a proper light height. Its why there are those "washers" you screwd to the max. You may be blinding ppl
It looks like Hikari has an upgrade 20000LM version of the bulb now. Would those be too bright? Or would you recommend still using the 15000LM version from the link?

Question for you ..... I have heard that running LEDs in a projector headlights do not give the best light output but a good HID kit will ? have you tried a good HID kit ?
No. The 2 options would be run an aftermarket HID and you would have to drill into the housing and navigate where to place the ballast. Option 2 would be to retrofit a OEM HID system and that is pretty intensive and requires some coding. I can honestly say that I have HIDs in my 2 series and compared to these its close enough and does the job well.
Yes. That's true yet both suck in projector. A standard housing is best for led and hid... and overall hid is better than led yet it has a high defective rate. Confused yet? 😕 🤣 it is

Not without risking damage to the bumper and paint. Honestly it's faster with it out because of all the extra working space

It's a pain. You have to oen up the headlight unit by removing the clear plastic from the housing. I think Vehicular DIY has a video on it

You would need to remove the plastic lense and reglue it. It's a very time consuming process, but if you wish to do it make sure to have aa heat gun.
