Children have to learn 3 important lessons: Sometimes you have to wait for what you want in life. Sometimes you have to work for what you want in life. Sometimes you never get what you want in life. They have to learn to handle all 3 of these situations

🌴 🤔 it’s a misleading statement when you introduce Maya as a single mom, she still married to her ex Geo 🤔 legally they both have to go through a divorce process, it would be deceiving to start dating and insinuating your single

All of these chicks say and do whatever they want just to make content. They’re all fake as F.

My Dad was a single parent and raised 4 of us. Ironic, I ended a single Dad and raised two daughters. It was hard, really made me appreciate what my Dad had to do and sacrifice.

As a single dad of a 10 year old, I would say that nobody knows better than you how to bring up your child. Children want to feel safe, loved and cared for. While you are primarily responsible for that, it's not a solo mission, and Nora gets huge benefit from having supportive family and relatives around her. She knows Maya will always be there if she needs her, as my son does me. Guilt is natural, but as long as we put our kids at the heart if our lives and decisions then they will turn out just fine. My son also wants me to be happy and find love, as I have no doubt Nora does as well with her mum. Maya is still young enough to find the balance for all things in her life, and a Happy mum is a good mum, so I wish her all the best from one single parent to another.

What we often feel are our biggest weaknesses, in truth, are our greatest strengths.
When we recognize and/or are most concerned about specific behaviors, we are inclined to focus on them to a greater extent.
Maya is in a healthy place in regard to her being a single mother as she is willing to challenge and question herself.
A full family unit would be ideal, yes, but that can not be forced, but rather, it must be organic.
Just keep doing what you are doing with continued grace and thoughtful reflection while making your daughter your first priority.
I wish you and yours well.
Again- Thank you for sharing, Shay.

Life is hard, relationships are hard, having a child is hard, especially the first one, and when you yourself are young. Please don't be hard on yourself, you're doing the best you can, the best you know how, and are learning and adjusting. Few people have a "Hollywood" life, either as the parent or the child. You are strong, hang in there.❤
