Quebecer here, I barely stand the pain of my warming fingers after an hour of snow shoveling at - 30°C...... 17:05 Those feet must have hurt like hell while unfreezing
Enfin, enfin un film dans le karakoram sans porteurs, sans esclavagisme moderne et ego étrange. Ce film est absolument sublime, probablement un des meilleurs films dans cette région.
Pakistan A Land Full Of Surprises! From High Mountains To Down Rivers! From Desert To Green Fields! If you love Adventure Than Pakistan Is Your Final Destination! ✌️❤️🇵🇰
Standing ovations! Solo in mountins while providing spectacular pictures and incredible story. So much said with just few words and imagination will do rest what was happening there for those 18 days.
This is by far the best video I have ever seen about the Mountains and I have seen a lot. I know most of the Karakoram peaks like the back of my hand but these traverses and how you navigated through crevasses is nothing short of a miracle. Next time you are in Pak. A huge feast is on me brother.
Great video guys. Thanks for sharing that courageous and challenging adventure. Man! That dude skiing with those blistered frost bitten feet is real soldja! That junk hurt me. Oof! Great job though, and Im glad dude made it down after 18 days on the mountain. Too bad he didn't accomplish his goal, but it was something what he did. Even without the linkup. 1 of 3 dudes to summit is a big honor. Congratulations.
17:32 that cut from the plane to the snow was incredibly smart, I 100% thought we were watching from the plane's POV. Big props to everyone involved here, watching this was a real journey.
I've watched this video few days ago and now i'm dreaming every night about this place I haven't discovered myself yet. I hope I will ever be able to see this with my own eyes. Thanks for this inspiration.
5:37 Hello Hassan and Adnan... long live Pakistan. .. This is an amazing experience. 9:07 Divide two kingdoms... This is funny. It snow and snow and snow all around. 17:32 Little do these people high in that aircraft know whats going on the ground. Stay safe and good luck to you.
Wow. Just wow. What an amazing solo climb. Way to call it without the entire traverse goal to stay alive. That must have been tough debate. Wonderful film.
I was climbing and trekking in Hunza with a friend in 1985, before all the guiding and social media hoopla, and I thought that was a wild adventure. But this? Best I've ever seen. Congratulations!
@jamisbillson4872mainly because it’s a massive fire hazard - lithium batteries also have a massive loss in efficiency past -10C and would increase the overall weight on your feet - due to a mechanical disadvantage weight distributed to your feet requires more energy to carry than in your backpack - hope this helped :)
People make choices to put their feet in these states. There are ways to ensure your feet are in good condition it comes at slight concession to objectives. When Andy Kirkpatrick releases his book By A Thread read the section on footwear 🏔️
@@anthonysteen56 no, I’ve watched videos where men climb into their tents, undo their down suit because they’re warm but their feet are all frozen and blistered. When it’s that cold up there the body reserves the body’s blood to keep the core warm not leaving enough blood to warm the extremities. That’s why climbers lose their hands and feet. Keeping the core warm is actually detrimental to the hands and feet.
@jamisbillson4872 you’re on to something there. I was thinking of electric socks and boots but you’re right about getting the idea off the ground. If I were a climber I would gladly carry enough batteries to keep my socks and boots warm if I ran into trouble or simply during the climb.
You are a real mountaineer. Doing it as a passion rather than a record keeper. I have scaled a few virgin heights in the Indian Himalayas and I believe your lone expeditions are pure and genuine. Wish your channel thrives.
Superb cinematography. One of the best videos about high altitude alpinism I've ever seen.Ranks up there with The Soloist, the story of Marc Andre Leclerc.
Thanks everyone for watching Call of the Karakoram ! It means a lot to us...❤

People have been climbing these behemoths for over 100 years now and still haven’t found a way to keep their feet from freezing. 🤦🏼♀️
The solution is a warm core
