Wycliffe's solo at around 9:30 is about the most monstrous solo I've ever heard on trombone. Growled low notes and trumpet range whines just start to show the skill that guy's got, like damn. It's great inspiration for all bone players.
i know Im randomly asking but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Maxton Uriel i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This very video got me into playing trumpet when I was a kid thanks for sharing this video I woul not be the same person if I didn't watch this performance thank you for posting it 🙏.
Quel bonheur.
fabulous! as the genial music 15:... "...in a class of they own...". Here we can understand how, as an international study refered, "musician is the best job in the world". How i envy them!
I would like to ask for your guidance. Does anyone know where the CD/DVD of this video is sold? I love his trombone, and this song in particular is heavenly. I'm a Japanese student, so I'm really disappointed that I can't go listen to him, and I respect him.
17.43-17.50 - 4 BARS BREAK of Mr. Wynton Marsalis ........ I would like to have on music-paper in order to see what exactly he played and to study for some years to come to the conclusion ..... I will not succeed to do it.
@Adolfo Ortiz Well the bass player is writing his own basslines as goes and he played a "stank" note basically, so Wynton looked back because it sounded good in a bad way.
i forgot how much i loved jazz
Came for Wycliffe, stayed for Frank's Summertime, man laid a piece of his soul into that last note. Incredible.
Same
it was AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18:50 Oliver Frank's performance on Summertime: Wowwwww 😮Especially the last note !!
pure joy and bliss for my eyes !!
Never has something gotten all of my nerves to stand on end in pure delight such as this. I'm a saxophonist myself and this is beyond incredible.
18:50 This had no business being so mesmerizing and soul-crushing.

Jazz masters, every one of these Gentlemen.
Jazz feels like my lifeblood, healing my mind and soul, and giving me a nice glass of cream soda.
That was awesome! I could listen to that stuff all day!
Best endorsement for me as an adult now, on Wycliffe Gordon, from my teacher in 2002: "Oh screw that guy. He just insults the instrument."
🤣
Putting a smile on my face after a 12 hour shift

Dan Nimmer ..... maybe the best Pianist in Traditional Jazz.
Soooo good... Thank you❤👏👏👏👏👏👏
Some of Nimmer's voicings are just crazy I wish I could come up with those during my solos
Absoulty brilliant
Just.... wonderful
Aplaudindo daqui do Brasil!!!
Amazing!
