Having a guy who knows the game inside out run with someone who just learned about the speed runs two days ago and is humbly referring to a notebook is honestly the perfect combo and energy for a speed run. Love this.
Imagine being Wheatley in this scenario, thinking yourself unbeatable with your puzzles, and just witnessing a flying unkillable god of speed just literally fly through everything you’ve prepared, and you helped create it.
This might actually be my new favourite GDQ run, the energy of the runner is amazing, the rapid-fire explanation, the humour, the chemistry between the runner and his commentator, its just all great
This guy had absolutely fantastic energy, what an awesome run! That was a lot of fun and that number gimmick got a lot of donations, I bet. His friend not knowing anything about the game was also hilarious, I love that lmfao, I’d love to see them on again in the future!
46:30 I think his hesitancy is because pi hasn't been proved to be "normal" - that is, we don't know that it contains every possible sequence of numbers. However, the numbers being guessed here are all four digit numbers, and we do know that all possible four digit sequences appear in the first hundred thousand digits of pi (we don't need to prove this mathematically, we can just check each one). The last four digit number to make an appearance in pi is 6716, which occurs for the first time at position 99,846. I was pretty sure we must know that all 4 digit sequences appear, but I did some googling to confirm and for the exact details. For comparison, it should be somewhat obvious that every individual digit (or, single digit sequence) appears in pi, and I don't think we'll know whether it contains every million-digit sequence without a mathematical proof of whether pi is "normal". But four digits is much closer to one than to a million, in terms of manageability.
So happy to see MSushi on the stage at GDQ! This is definitely one of the run I was looking forward to. Also, thank you GDQ staff for quickly uploading the VOD!
i speedran the ILS a lot for the game, and also did a few full runs. It was right around the time when Znernicus had that 1h 04min wr that stood for ages. So cool to see the mysterious Msushi from back then
A GDQ run comes to MSushi like breathing; smooth, natural, and seemingly effortless. I see why they brought him back, he seems so comfortable and is an innate entertainer. Bravo to an amazing run!
The kaizo fails were hilarious in the different ways the level managed to troll him, but while I laugh, I also admit I couldn't do this in a hundred years 😂
Very impressive portal 2 speed run. As a first timer watching a portal 2 speed run, I loved the dynamic of the couch being a newcomer as well. This run and the runner was very informative. Thank you for showing this fun run off at agdq.
soooooo I think i managed to do the Save item Glitch in portal revolution, idk how i did it So what happened was I was trying find ways to beat the chambers in the game like the randomest useless stuff to beat the chambers and i was throwing the cube from 1 spot to another but then it went through the ground and it was just moving in-bounds and out-of-bounds But then it stopped half way into the ground so i try it again but failed like 50 times so i decided to just go record 5 minutes of me doing that until i can do it sooooo idk if its possible in the normal portal 2 and if it is, we just found save item glitch in portal 2

For real. Kevin did a great job!
Came here to say this. Kudos to the couch 💪
"IMAGINE A BUS" 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
I haven't heard the imagine a bus I thought they were going to say " the game gets confused"
@@fieryphoenix2501you ever watch summoning salt on SMB1?
LETS FUCKING GO HE SAID THE LINE
@@fieryphoenix2501 you have to first imagine a bus before the bus makes the game get confused
Timestamp?
Msushi’s live commentary is amazing. He seems so comfortable and confident in this setting. Fantastic
@@BlueSR I was expecting to see you here.
The way portal 2 running has progressed to the point that he CANNOT even shorthand explain everything in time.
"Yes, there is pancake skip and toast skip. There are many things named after food, might as well call it breakfast."
MSushi, 2025
And then later we had FOOD -glitch- *jump.*
Thank you @ziwuri for helping correct me.

Runner has such amazing energy from the beginning, huge props to him and watching GDQ after all these years still makes me smile.
This is the kind of person who should lead the marathon.
i mean yeah he is a youtuber and a streamer for a reason
He has a really cool youtube channel
With how charismatic he is, it's kind of hard to believe that he's actually an evil supervillain with millions.
What an incredibly charismatic runner and his chemistry with Kevin is amazing. Absolute gift of a run, incredibly entertaining!
Imagine being Wheatley in this scenario, thinking yourself unbeatable with your puzzles, and just witnessing a flying unkillable god of speed just literally fly through everything you’ve prepared, and you helped create it.
"This skip only works 1/3rd everytime"
literally the third try it works
My guy MSushi is on AGDQ speedrunning portal 2. Is this real?! Finally!
The commentary was great, very energizing and Kevin is awesome!
This is one of those hall-of-fame runs. An instant GDQ classic
"YOU'VE GOT 1 HOUR! SOLVE IT!" Bro took that to heart

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that’s not what the hesitancy was for.
Kevin did a great job! I really liked the dynamic between him and Msushi. They had good banter, and made it fun and engaging!
at 17:46 i thought the crowd was so loud hey sounded like the hl2 train noise. but its actually just that the sound plays in portal 2 there
hi simon :3
the gd community is everywhere it seems. though i guess its similar to speedrunning, tons of attempts and resets and learning

Great run. Awesome commentary and runner
DO YOU SMELL NEUROTOXIN?
When a game gives you lemons, a speedrunner skips those lemons.

Of course Kevin's favorite enemy is a Thwomp...
That duo was wonderful!
loved watching this run
Shoutouts to kev, bro did great!

Now _that_ is a run of a lifetime!
Msushi and Kevin have the same dynamics as a teenage son and a supportive dad. I love it
Fantastic commentary
I love MSushi's energy :D
Now I feel like playing through the portal games again, only slow as I’m no speed runner
This speedrun changed my life
If you don't know, this game currently exists in VR now, and you should absolutely play it.

The potato skip has a much easier (slightly slower) setup that's definitely doable for casual players.
