It is 18 years old already? Makes you feel so old, still one of the best multiplayer experiences and definetly an immersive solo campaign; a true classic
Definitely makes me feel old, I started with the original MW2, I didn't play CoD4 until it was remastered but I loved the remaster and put like 100s of hours into it
So amazing to see CoD4 on the GDQ stage, and even crazier to be on the couch! I had such a great time at the event, and I’m super thankful to Bryon for the commentary invite 💙
First time watching Bryonato, incredibly humble and appreciative dude, no surprise he seems to have such a good circle of people supporting him. Got a new follower out of me, very entertaining run.
I became a fan after the first run I saw from him back in 2019, during SGDQ. He ran Titanfall 2, the game that's his signature game to this day, for the longest time he was holding WR in multiple categories lol. I can REALLY recommend checking out a Titanfall 2 run he was involved with, SDGQ 2019 he ran it himself, he was on the couch for SGDQ 2023 and GDQ@PAX 2024.
This run reminds me of how good Bry is at being a speedrunner, not just his insane skill, but also his ability to narrate and play with spookily good timing
The best CoD game of its time. The movement has an insanely high skill ceiling, they even had popular modded servers that were literally just extremely difficult bounces and jumps (cod jumper). Fps also matters for jump mechanics, most commonly used are 125, 250, 333 fps. A simplification of each would boil down to 125 for distance, 333 for height, 250 a mix between. For very complicated jumps in cod jumper you could find yourself switching strafe direction multiple times and switch fps multiple times while in the air. For example in extreme cases 333-125-250-bounce-333-250-125. So glad to finally see this run at GDQ! Hopefully we can sneak in a CoD4 remastered run (it's basically the exact same but better graphics) and pretend it's a different game 😜
i remember trying to do jumps in COD2.... but my PC sucked and i could not get over 80FPS even with all settings at low you could have 2 people climb up a ladder in COD2.... the bottom dude would stick his head in the top dudes butt... and you both hold W . you would just climb up into the sky. on 1 map, you would climb very high, then drop down on a roof, drop down on a balcony, and kinda jump your way down from balcony to balcony then you could go under the map you could shoot players... but they could not shoot you . you could also jump out a window, walk along the edge, and jump into a closed window very useful for the zombies mod (yes, COD2 had zombies YEARS!!! before World At War) COD1/2 also had modern weapons and tanks YEARS before COD4 . their were also a few interesting jump spots in COD1 . . . but like.... all this knowledge is lost to time COD was not a cool game back in the COD1/2/3 days.... used to get made fun of for playing COD then COD 4 came out, and all the people that made fun of me were playing it....... . id join their lobby and absolutely murder them.... dropping 40 bombs on their face lol so then they made fun of me for "having no life"
@@jackthurman2642 you drop into the ship on wetwork and the first section of the level matches the mockup you went through in FNG. Because in story, the mockup is how the team is training for the ship mission
2:15 it actually runs on the heavily modified COD2 engine. COD1's engine was closer to quake... but COD2 still has that quake DNA also . i forget the name of COD2 BR1 and COD3 engine however....
Genuinely the most influential fps of all time. CDS Skip represent (I found the first iteration of the skip) PS: RPG jumps are not a damage boost. It just ever so slightly pushes you back when shot.
I don't know what hurts more, the fact that this game is about 3 years younger than me, or the fact that Modern Warfare is the first time (that I can find) that Call of Duty was developed with US Military input (therefore making it propaganda)

EIGHTEEN YEARS??? Wow. Crazy how time flies
I reject your reality and substitute my own.
lol I was born in 2006 and I turn 19 next month definitely feel old asf

Bottle flips. Grenade encouragement. Word Soup. That's at least 3 things I didn't expect from this run 😂 what a great run
Live action iPad baby content is genuinely so powerful

Goated couch lineup

Probably the best in my opinion
COD4 is such a nice speedrun and a true classic.
Still the best COD game and easily the best campaign. I have a lot of nostalgia for COD4.
Great run, you've found a new fan in me Bryonato.
What a great couch of humans. and a mini game mid run
Seeing CoD4 in GDQ finally happened!
Bryonato also did a COD4 run at GDQ PAX (I think) last year
W run, w runner, finally happy to see cod 4 at agdq.

very useful for the zombies mod (yes, COD2 had zombies YEARS!!! before World At War)
COD1/2 also had modern weapons and tanks YEARS before COD4
.
their were also a few interesting jump spots in COD1

but like.... all this knowledge is lost to time

CoDJumper massive WE OUT HERE!!
byanato is the goat for these commentaries as well as the couch
We had TomatoAnus AND NOW Bryonato?! wooooo
LOVE COD. Shoutout to OpTic and FaZe for the endless montages back in the day!
Lore accurate Soap.
bryonato is pure class on the stage and COD4 is such a sick game still!!
Very surprised we haven't seen this CoD or many others at GDQ. Would love to see more in the franchise. Absolutely great run ❤
The couch is awesome, feels like a group of friends over at someone’s house.
Never knew anyone involved with this until today, and what a great group! Amazing run, amazing personalities, and amazing marathon!!
The middle guy on the couch is a freakin comedy god lmao. The clap at 1:03:20 tho 😂
You should watch the 4 player co op Legendary Halo 3 he was a part of at SGDQ, it's hilarious
Check out his GDQ Ratatouille run from a couple years ago
Used to play this game back in 2012, so glad to see this game get the speed run recognition it deserves
Been a minute since the last COD 4 run. Glad to see the bottle flip again. 😎
I don't think I'll ever get bored of watching Bryonato run CoD4. Great commentator, great run.
Cod4 was a huge part of my teenage years was great to see this
Been watching Bryonato for a few years now, dude has clearly grown a ton as a person and a speedrunner. Big respect
Epic run, what a couch, genuinely in awe of your tenacity and skill.
tomato and bryonato together? hell yea son
Absolute legend status
Another great run by Bry, what a couch too, W's
Bryonato is the 🐐. Thats my disc golfing halo homie who is dope and does dope shit ❤️
Great run love the word soup 😂
Why is Bryonato's fit so clean LOL
this run got some aura, now its my 3rd fav run oat
very great run :) nice couch!
I love how pretty much EVERYBODY pushes of Lovejoy
Awesome run, hope to see more COD at GDQ, there's so many cool movement techs that make them fun to watch
super nice love goes out!
Fun fact about the first level: The FNG course has the same start as the first mission
What do you mean by same start?
@@jackthurman2642 The course is a mock-up of the ship you attack in the following mission.
I think that’s the point, it’s training for the real life scenario 😂😂😂
@@jackthurman2642 The FNG course is a crude recreation of the section of the boat you start the second mission on.

25:18 the top of a tank can spin soooo technically if it can spin fast enough, totally a helicopter

Man I remember playing this game and thinking that the graphics couldn't get any better!
BLUETARGET!?!?! MY JAMES BOND SOEEDRUNNING GOAT?!?!?!
I can’t believe he got that damage boost first try
Imagine how much you have to play a game to know that if you shoot your teamates by the feet they’ll move up faster
Whenever anyone says controller is superior in FPS games you only need to point them towards this run lmao
the fact they blew up that dog in 1s1k killed me rofl
Random comment unrelated to this run, just now starting this but do runners still hit WRs at GDQs or is that just a thing of the past?
Mostly a thing of the past, only really happens in obscure games with not many runs/runners.
it was rare in the past too lol
So much love ♥
about freaking time 🔥🔥
I love this game ❤
Nice fist try the window :)
I had no idea this game features rocket jumping
Genuinely the most influential fps of all time.
CDS Skip represent (I found the first iteration of the skip)
PS: RPG jumps are not a damage boost. It just ever so slightly pushes you back when shot.
fuck i miss it so much
This dog's in some run you care about 28:38
Timbers match? That is a punishment.
still one of the greatest games of all time fr
Best Cod
Is max_fps binds allowed in these runs
WE LOVE COD4
Poor Adef
I'm sure he'd appreciate your sympathy if he could read.
tomato got big wtf
who were those two baddies doing the word game? very beautiful
(the joke is i'm the one on the left)
Titanfall 2 mentioned

DRUSEN ????
38:33
yeah hehe
The first time CoD4 has been shown at a GDQ, my brother you ran it 4 months ago at GDQ Pax West, that still counts.
no not at a gdq, first time at AGDQ, the big yearly one. yes it’s been run for a gdq even but never an AGDQ before
FIRST
hold W and mouse 1 simulator. nice
Cod 4 the goat
