Dude! thanks so much for posting this - I just got a 2004 140' 3500 with 36,000 miles - and I love the idea of using the existing weep holes for liquid transfer - I so did not want to drill. Now thanks to you, I don't need to! This is an amazingly well designed, layout plan, and outstanding build - I hope you are OK with my copying several of your great ideas.
Will and Renae!!! So awesome to see your van get toured by Jarrod! I worked with Will up in Alaska several years ago. Great dude. Wishing you 2 luck on your next adventure! Clinton.
beautiful, clever, very feature rich van build and they seem like lovely people. the interviews lately have been particularly good. you lead the conversation well to all the important and interesting points, but have been letting people talk more and tell what they want to say. great job Jarrod, setting a high standard and great example for Christian! exciting to hear that you're putting together a team and continue to grow. all the best!
I am sure they are careful and know this, but a well-meaning reminder to watch the baby in the crib as it grows - they get new skills quickly and the first time they can open/climb over things can surprise you. (I think the baby is just fine in the van and babies that age would love it).
Hi, Jarrod--another cool build. I was wondering how they supported the stainless sink they used for the shower, since it would have to be strong enough to stand on. Also, do you know what the dimensions are? Looks like it's about 24" square but I'm just guessing. Thank you!
I'm assuming through flexible tubes or pipes. If you have a bare van you text this but putting like wire or something flexible from the top down to see how it goes through
First I'd want to create a thermal break so I would use Kilmat and cover all the metal. I use Frost King on the floors and ceiling as it's a little more dense and is better, but also more expensive so using it on all metal can get pricey. Then on the floors I'd use 1" foam board as well as on the ceiling, try and get the type with both sides are metallic, but 1 side is fine. On the walls I'd use either Havelock wool or Thinsulate depending on what you would rather have.
Big as you want. I think they are weight rated for around 50 pounds. So if your table is 10 pounds then you can safely put 40 pounds of stuff on table (laptops, plates, etc.). For vans the sweet spot for size is 16x24 as they are not crazy big but not too small either, in my opinion
What did he say it was a 2002 right? That's really good that it only has 50k on it for being 18 years old! And I'd admagine since it was an ambulance they serviced it often. I wonder if it was a diesel? Nice Van for sure and Christan was good moral support is he on the payroll yet lol. JK but that was the perfect opportunity to let him do a tour with you there!
But isn't anything realistic? I've toured many builds that cost people around $10k and even my first van I did years ago was around that price. However I've learned over the years by spending a little more you get a much better and more quality van home. We didn't talk cost on this but my guess is the cost for a diy like this is a little over that amount. Why the price tag then? The van itself empty is worth $18k +/- and then the cost of the build and labor
I believe he has done van videos for poeple living in a low roof or even a mini van. Don't pay attention to the price and the flashy materials used. Look for ideas, layout and build inspiration you could use for your own build. Like their shower design is really great and space efficient. It's storage, shower, and countertop space all in one. Could be a great spot to hand wash some laundry too if you get a plug for the drain.
Hello how are you i enjoy watching your videos i am wanting to start my own channel i would like to know if you know any one here in seattle that can help me setting up my own channel
Thank you. What dimensions do you need? From back of seats to back doors is about 122" and the width on the ground is 72" and at ceiling is 54" (I think). You can find everything by doing a search as well
My audience wants to see all types of builds from vans, tiny homes, how to, diy, etc. Doesn't matter if someone is selling or not. We talk about the same features no matter if something is for sale or not. Just trying to help nice people sell their van so they don't have to worry about it before moving overseas
The purpose is to show van builds doesnt matter if it's on sale or not. Not sure why you think a van doesnt have to be for sale before you can start to get a FREE tour wtf.

12:40 I love that you acknowledged the question she had. I hate when people clearly hear someone and don’t respond.
True her husband ignored her twice

Clinton.
Very best van build I've ever seen!!! And I've looked for a long time! Love the storage
Congrats on the new job and new baby. Great van tour.
Second comment from a top fan! This is another top notch video from the best TH-cam van life interviewer!

Thank you 😊
You'll be surprised that this build had a reasonable budget
The shower design is brilliant. Double use, no dead space and a more space
Brilliant Van great solo build !!
Interesting to see what he did with the hot water heater. That's the type of heater I wanted and I wasn't sure how I was going to vent it.
Cool homemade crib. Nice van
Very smart for the shower. Double use to optimise the space and use.
I am sure they are careful and know this, but a well-meaning reminder to watch the baby in the crib as it grows - they get new skills quickly and the first time they can open/climb over things can surprise you. (I think the baby is just fine in the van and babies that age would love it).
they are adorable!
Great build and good luck.
That was the coolest! 💝🙏💝Congratulations guys safe travels wishing you all the best!!
Great video!!!
Really like this one!
Gorgeous!!

Man what nice peeps. I would love that thing!
Very well done, love it!
Congrats to the person who bought it.
I would love to see the details of how the shower drains out the weep holes. Can you explain this further?
I'm assuming through flexible tubes or pipes. If you have a bare van you text this but putting like wire or something flexible from the top down to see how it goes through
Gratz on 100k subscribers.
Congrats on 100k!!
How did you like van life in Oregon?!?
congrats on your 100k!! =)
Smart..smart..smart..thank you!
What was sale price?
- _We've named it Mercy because [...]_
- _Alright, guys, thank you so much, talk to you later!_
It was a ambulance for “Mercy Flights” and before the paint job you can still read “Mercy” where the sticker used to be. Mercy is a great world too!
Darn I must of edited that out, sorry about that
Jarrod, would you type up a short list here of your picks for products for insulating the walls....not too much offgassing if you can comment...

Since it was an emergency vehicle did it come with a generator most ambulance have a built-in generator on them?
No but it had a big inverter and shore power..... and a spot light! Booya! Campsite searching made easy.
@@willslawrence how did you find that vehicle
I would live in this happily ever after. Unfortunately I'm in Canada and damm Covid wouldn't let me come get it☹ Fabulous design!❤
If it helps I wanted to take a trip to beautiful Canada this summer but same reason :(
How big or heavy can the table top be for the Lagun Table mount? Thanks!

@@JarrodTocci Very helpful! Thanks again.

Van was in great shape and yes 2002 and Diesel. Crazy how well maintained it was
You should tour some realistic van builds. something under $10,000
But isn't anything realistic? I've toured many builds that cost people around $10k and even my first van I did years ago was around that price. Vanbuilders are making a killing these days.....
Don't know if they're making a killing, but they're definitely getting some business
The reality of dealing with babies, it has to be incredibly hard living in a van with one.
Please put your tours on rumble. They need some and I am leaving youtube
Every wannabe van-lifer who's thinking about a DIY build, MUST check out this guy's website (link above). This van is a bargain!
Seriously agree!
@Jarrod... Do you have kids?
first one you build is for sale, second for your friend last one you keep ;-)
#CuteCouple
That VAN IS NOT SAFE.Venting a propane water heating. really
too bad.. no toilet is a deal breaker..
You can buy your own toilet, one of them said that.
Toilet training a toddler when theres no accessible toilet? And being pregnant likewise. No wonder theyre moving.
So basically a sales pitch. Cute man but stick to your audience please
stfu!
