- Welcome To can you beat pokemon team rocket edition with only stolen pokemon. Well ofcourse this is possible but this is more of a 'in the spotligh't episode of can you beat because i found out that this is one of the BEST fan games that i have ever played the story is so detailed and it really draws you in. it has also been a pretty long time since iv'e done a rom hack video since the last one was on kaizo so i hope you guys enjoy this amazing rom hack!

If you beat red in the first battle, he actually talks to you and asks if you’re using cheats

Fun fact (for people who didn't play the game) : after the ending,if you load your save file after the court scene,they show you in prison.then shigeki comes to your cell,he is able to bail you out.but he takes your money to pay your bounty. After that,your released.and there's more to the game. So be sure to play it!

But sadly there is no post game left and also you can't challenge the elite4 EVEN IF YOU CHEAT.

I actually beat red in mt mood when I tried to beat this game with the three starter Pokémon and he just straight up said”WTF,did you use cheat codes? Bro,you weren’t supposed to beat me just now! God, hows a man supposed to keep a plot going if you go about messing it up? Okay listen:just go along with what happens next and pretend like I just beat you straight out,okay? Jesus.” It took me a while to beat him, but I eventually did it!

I grinded tokens in the Casino to get the Dratini and leveled this thing up, as other Pokemon for my Team did I got myself an Nidoqueen and the rest was stolen as well(except MissingNo) and had them on Lvl. 69 upon finishing xD

You're kidding, right? This is completely tone deaf to the world of Pokemon. There are ways to make a more mature game without needing to completely throw away world building and characterization in order to make it happen. Half of this story just sounds like bad fanfiction and wish fulfillment. xD

Fun fact, in the hack you can go to the backdoor of the museum in pewter city and basically get this science dude to admit he lied and kept the other fossil for himself
I think the scientist dude lied. He actually keeps the one left behind for himself and you can find him again to pick one of three fossils.
Then red was forced to move to mt.silver, for obvious reasons.

My Idea is that Red was banished to MT Sliver after all the charges were on him and every time you battle him after that his sentence there was served

I love how rumours were used in the story like the war based on Lt.Surge, missingno & ditto being failed mew experiments + how Oak was originally planned to have a late game battle & the location of missingno where it really was & how it glitches the game & also giving a reason why Red never talks.

The Shigeki part of the main story is based off of the MissingNo. glitch. In the original RGB games, watching the old man’s catching tutorial and then surfing on the east coast of Cinnabar Island allowed you to encounter MissingNo.!

I would agree but nah, the plot felt too edgy often. I mean, there's still some positive quirks like comedy and simple moments from a villain's perspective, but the entire plot in Rocket Edition has semblances of an edgy teenager writing the plot based on fan theories. Though ngl it's well written, it's just the edginess that drives me off.
And I would agree on **some pokemon games** being bad, especially Sword and Shield with Rose and Eternatus - poorly executed, and I fear Scarlet/Violet will have the same bad parts that SwSh had, and the easy difficulty of X&Y as well.
Black and White (and part 2) were the prime examples of dark storytelling tbh by Game Freak, the finale with N during your first battle with Alder was perfect and didn't end up edgy.
i was so impressed when you fight red for the first time and get whooped, i was thinking this was just gonna be some cheap reskin of the main character and thats it. but you actually play as a rocket grunt, thats really neat

I played this ROM a few weeks ago, and it was definitely the best hack ROM ever! I really smiled with joy and had the most fun I've ever had with a hack ROM, specially towards the end, with that Missingno. reveal and how Red is a clone
I recently beat it and had beat oak final pokemon on acident as he swapped out his low hp tarus and i cheat for a larvitar amd it fully evolved sandstorm won the math. Best part was i wondering what his final pokemon would be as i thought i had knocked it out already so i was suprised with my win

Try Unbound if you haven't yet. By far the best rom hack made in a while, months of gameplay, gen 8 mechanics, 80+ side quests, an actually well written plot, and post game missions as well as battle frontier. Those guys absolutely smashed it making that game.

i really enjoyed this! it was like a walkthrough, story time, pokemon challenge but with a twist! I think you should pay through more rom hacks with cool story plots and summarize them.

I first played it waaaaaay back in the day. Maybe between 7-10 years ago. It clearly wasn't finished at the time but was very enjoyable for what it was.

@@Traffa99 I have not played it again since. I got wrapped up in other games (both official and fan games). One in particular being Pokemon Wilds. It's like if you took the survival element of Minecraft and applied it to Gen 2. Sill in alpha but very fun. That and Radical Red. Very challenge and they added a ton to it since they started development. There are a couple of other things on the list too, like Pokemon Dreams and Emerald Roguelike to that are waiting to be finished as well. But thank you for messaging me, I'll make sure to download this and give it a try.

for a game that simply lets you play the bad guy, this has a surprising amount of backstory and power. might consider playing it
when he let missing.no die in the last battle i was so confused like “why did he just let the main pokemon of the playthrough die?” I then remembered this wasnt a playthrough. Watched the whole thing start to finish, amazing game and perfect commentary. loved it

Btw you can technically win against red on the Mt Moon encounter but the game would ignore it and bribe you money that you can use to buy bunch of stuff...
Also you can also get the gym badges and their respective Pokemons :D

God this is the one Pokémon fan game that deserves a sequel
Suggestion: "Can you beat Pokémon Black/White Without STAB moves" and, to make things interesting, you should limit yourself to 2 attacking moves per Pokémon!
This is a very good suggestion but it is way to easy those other 2 moves (on my competitive pokemon) are used for moves like dragon dance ect and stab moves only power up the move by 1.5×
this story would honestly make for a great fan anime series. like obviously nintendo wouldnt make it, but I would pay good money to see this animated.

Maybe it's something they used to do in the older games, but I think its really cool that this game works a defeat into the story as it's always seems silly to me that in the games story even as a rookie at the beginning you are pretty much canonically never beaten in a battle even by trainers like the champions and gym leaders with years of experience.

This game was actually amazing, best story in any pkmn game ive ever played. Wish there was more post game content though.
I'm very late lol. This is one of those rare rom hacks that actually has a mind-blowing story that actually makes sense. It even made me somehow hate myself when playing pokemon fire red because I always remember this and say "oh my god what if I'm not hooman?" "Oh god Prof. Oak stay away from me." and then just proceeds to feel bad for Giovanni.
Everything in this rom hack changed how I look at characters in the game and I am in for it!

Fun guy but his challenges are getting really stale lately, the only challenge being he needs to grind to a high enough level.
MDB would probably decline. This game's a bit weird, and doesn't rlly have set starters, or much that would rlly change per say, unlike the DBZ rom hack. Plus, it's way longer than most ROMs out there. But who knows.
30 minutes into the video and holy crap this game has so much more plot than any pokemon game has ever had, it's insane and well written and explains ALOT of things in the Kanto region (whether it's made up lore or not) that the original games don't

Man I haven't seen this romhack really ever before and now that I see it, it is probably one of the best. This adds backstory to where the Kanto games didn't and more. This is a much more darker romhack and honestly if I never knew about Clover or Insurgence this romhack would probably be my favorite.
