With all these sequels and plans for sequels you'd think there would have been a movie where the leprechaun would try to steal the gold from fort knox by now
Warner Brothers is getting ready to sink alot of money into a big budget Leprechaun yes starring Wicker Davis. This one will take him to the year of Pirates who stole his gold. Picture Pirates of The Caribbean with a Leprechaun . This could be something special could we see Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow why is Warner Brothers spending so much money. I'm glad to see Wicker getting a great payday for once reportedly 1 million dollars as he's great guy when you meet him at signings.
The black hole afro is honestly as comedic as the Leprechaun hot conversation scene kill, both genuinely make this movie great as a comedy. I prefer the first one as a horror comedy, but for a fun movie night, I'll pick this one as it's just a comedic mess.
I love how this movie is apparently quite beloved in the series despite it being complete madness, but then again what Leprechaun movie ISNT complete madness?
I wouldn't say always but with this type of movie 100% agree. If you've got such a zanie pre.ise in the first place you might she'll go all out and have fun with it. Often that feeling can carry over and save an otherwise meh movie. Edit: also loved that part had forgotten about it haha.
This movie was an interesting Blend, this was the bomb. You know what the Leprechaun says " A friend with weed is a friend indeed, But a friend with gold is the best I'm told."
Probably one of the best in the series next to Back 2 To The Hood very funny didn’t take itself absolutely serious and was a fun watch 15:10 legitimately the funniest scene
Imagine the same film, except there is no leprechaun or flute. Instead, what they steal is an early autotune prototype. It would basically be the same film, but entirely grounded in reality.
This movie was never meant to stand up to actual serious scrutiny and I respect that, but if they couldn’t record the flute then how would a record deal have ever worked for them? They can only use the flute live but no one would buy their record and like it enough to see them live...
I have to say, I am enjoying your little green screen intros. Simple effect, to be sure, but that little bit of extra effort is always something I enjoy.
Love the idea of Postmaster P just standing at his front door while Decker gives his opening statement. "So what can you even do about that? SO let's take a look at Leprechaun In The Hood and see if we can dig it." "What The F*** Are You Talking About? Who The F*** Even Are You!?"
I been watching decker for years now since summer of Freddy vs Jason and it just makes me so happy that he finally has a decent sub count. He’s really one of the most underrated movie critics on youtube and I’m glad all his hard work is finally paying off. Keep doing you’re thing decker, I’ll always be a fan💯
The Leprechaun in search of his magic flute? Imagine a crossover with H.R. Pufnstuf, where the Leprachaun and Wilhelmina W. Witchiepoo, battle for the magic flute on Living Island.
When Jonathan Ross and Warick Davis (mostly Ross) mentioned this film on an episode of "The Big Fat Quiz", I assumed they were joking. Now, I see that it's available for rental or purchase on TH-cam. Do they really go "Back to the Hood"?
Gotta say, this one is legitimately entertaining. It may be the go-to punchline for "In the Hood" spinoffs of tired franchises, but man, it is such a fun flick!
I don't get the point of the flute, when they could get the same result from the coin wishes in Leprechaun 3. It's arguably one of the most contrived additions in the series.
Warwick Davis needs to come back to do another Leprechaun film( they aren't the same without him), especially considering the mainstream popularity of horror at the moment, partly due to the new Halloween trilogy. They should bring out "Leprechaun Kills" I'd watch it.👍
Would that mean they'd have to reboot the leprechaun franchise again to make continuity? Or stick to the usual plot where it's the leprechaun in different environments?
@@sportyjhf5 Well the last Leprechaun movie followed the original movie, so I doubt they would want to make a movie with the same continuity. Unless they would want to follow Leprechaun Returns but with Warwick in mind.
@@mrcritical6751 Actually, he said he would play Leprechaun again when his son is becomes 18 years old and I think his son is legally an adult now, so now we could get any news of Warwick coming back anytime now.
My Personal Favorite of these movies. All the others range from crap to meh for me. But this one was in fact a lot of fun, and plenty of bits I really enjoy.
Lep in the hood in my opinion is by far the best Lep movie. It has the best and most compelling storyline, the best characters, the best acting as well at least in my opinion. I love all the Lep movies but Lep in the hood has a special place in my heart Oh and not to mention it’s the most emotionally impactful movie in the franchise
About the zombie fly girls - Apparently that scene right before the credits was supposed to happen earlier (if I'm remembering right, after Leprechaun electrocuted that guy). For some reason they changed that scene to be at the end though, which kinda makes it seem like he gets them out of nowhere. I guess they REALLY wanted to end this movie with Warwick Davis rapping.
@@jeffumbach the scene is almost entirely him possessing girls, I recall there’s a part where he uses his telekinesis to drag a girl up to him to get possessed whilst he raps
Early morning Decker is the best ! As for an alternate, Leprechaun free version : the production would have to up the quality quite a bit to pull it off, because this one looks more like a soap than anything else. Although the ideas for the plot were quite sound and interesting. As always, thank you for the review and keep up the good work !
Without a doubt, the best 'don't forget to like and subscribe' announcements are done by DJ Decker Shado. Best rhymes and best hair, and he don't need to come from Bel Air. That's why I liked and subscribed, 'cause Decker just gives out the best vibe.
Has anyone ever wondered if this Leprechaun is supposed to be the same from Leprechaun 3? He has the same weakness of turning to stone with a medallion necklace, the rappers are trying to win a contest to go to Vegas, and at the end of the movie during the audition, that's where Leprechaun is on stage rapping. I like to think that Leprechaun won the contest and during his trip to Las Vega, the crazy old man in the opening of Leprechaun 3 captured him, turned him to stone and sent him to the Pawn Shop where the third film starts. And both Leprechaun's look the same from each other as well.
I like how you introduce the actors and say their real names, even if they have a smaller part.
Ice T's afro is like Captain Caveman's hair, you can just pull whatever out of it.
I can tell ICE T was having a very good time when acted in this movie.
Decker
Not gonna lie the summer of scene was down right creepy you have that movement down.
Well Done.
I thought it was funny!
Id go with a bit of both here. Creepy yet scary. But certainly well done

This film is truly a masterpiece.
With all these sequels and plans for sequels you'd think there would have been a movie where the leprechaun would try to steal the gold from fort knox by now
Plot Twist: there's no actual gold in Fort Knox.
I want me gold. Not your gold. Unless its magic.

Was going to say the same thing 🤣
Same
Everyone was😭
I love how this movie is apparently quite beloved in the series despite it being complete madness, but then again what Leprechaun movie ISNT complete madness?
This one, the sequel to the 1st one and back 2 da hood apparently
The leprechaun in the hood movies are amazing 😂
They’re classics
My favorite chill movie
@Super Nerd World soooooo, Origins?
The best thing about these movies is they don't take themselves seriously. Those are the best kind of movies
Dude. That scene at 15:15 was straight out of some scooby-doo shenanigans.

Um... Warwick Davis my guy, can't forget about him. These movies put that dude on easy street lol
I wouldn’t say “the best” sometimes it’s funny but mostly it’s just cringy. Something you can only handle in small doses.. at least for me

It was a bomb alright.
My favorite quote was when he told the transwomen
“I didn’t come to play with fruit, I’m only here for me magic flute”
LOL

It's very unique and helps him stand out from all the other movie reviews who just review a movie on the couch or bedroom.
What do you know, there's a Leprechaun for dummies like Voodoo for dummies. These book writers must have some experiences to be this accurate.
We we just going to ignore how creepy, crawling Decker in that intro was??..... ok lol
Love the idea of Postmaster P just standing at his front door while Decker gives his opening statement.
"So what can you even do about that? SO let's take a look at Leprechaun In The Hood and see if we can dig it."
"What The F*** Are You Talking About? Who The F*** Even Are You!?"
I just realized that's ol dude from Enterprise.
Thanks Decker. Was waiting for this.
The leprechaun is what happens when a silver age comic book villain gets given an R-rating by accident.
Decker reviewing hood classics is my favorite part of his channel 😂
"The only white guy in the movie"
Ah yes, because as we're all well aware Warwick Davis is Japanese
Pretty sure it was in movie context, not in the actor context.
I think you'll find he's an Ewok irl. No, wait, a Nelwyn. No, wait a half goblin.

I don't get the point of the flute, when they could get the same result from the coin wishes in Leprechaun 3. It's arguably one of the most contrived additions in the series.
That is true. If they brought back the medallion from 3, why not the wish granting coins as well?
@@MADMONEYMAN5000 exactly and it would explain how the magic effects people even if they can't hear the flute.
I can answer that question. If you take the leprechaun out of this movie, it becomes a Master P movie from the '90s.
It has a very interesting simple message of not taking shortcuts and if you do you’re liable to lose your soul so to speak.
