Steve Longo was my ASL professor in college. He is the one who is bald. I learned a lot from him. Unfortunately, I'm losing my ASL knowledge because I don't have no one to practice it with. This was about 6 years ago. He was an awesome professor. Thank you, Professor Longo.
I'm taking a Deaf Culture class and your band's name was mentioned in the textbook that we use for this class. I'm happy to have looked you boys up! Loved the video! I turned it up louder!
Hey my ASL Professor had us watch the movie SEE WHAT I'M SAYING & I can honestly say I'm glad all of you pursue your dreams & I can honestly say if you guys can do this than anyone can do anything & I want to thank you for being a beacon of hope to everyone who feels their dream is nearly impossible to reach & wish to say thank you. have a nice day
Ironically, this is one of the few music videos that never hurts me by suddenly being too loud. (I'm very sensitive to light/sound/touch/etc so it's pretty normal for me to be in pain from a video being unexpectedly loud. I've been starting to learn sign because I like that it doesn't - directly - hurt me the way speech often can, and because it's a cool language and I like the idea of being able to communicate with more people).
Great to know there's such a thing as a deaf rock band. Great video! Thanks for the inspiration. If y'all can do it, any deafie can do it! Now....turn it up LOUDER! :-)
Steve, I had the pleasure of seeing you guys live in Columbus in 2010 and I also had the pleasure of talking with you, Ed, and Bob at the bar in hotel ! :)
you guys need to go on itunes so hearing people like me who think you're awesome can give you money! hahaha seriously, been searching forever around on places to buy your music!!
Out of curiosity, I looked up if a such thing as a deaf rock band existed. And well, this song is pretty darn catchy. Reminds me of Huey Lewis & The News.
I sent the music to Carnegie Hall in Manhattan. They wrote back saying they wanted me to join them to write new music, but then said they weren't interested after I signed up with them. It was bad, but people from different countries are writing about the symphony from Greece, Italy, Canada. I don't know why Carnegie decided not to have me perform there after I paid their fee to get in.
Awesome video! I think I recognize TL Forsberg and who is the other woman singer? Is she deaf or hard of hearing? DWIF Media Coordinator, Kerry Cooler Jules Dameron, Founder of DWIF
My kindergartners are studying deaf culture in my music class. I'd love to show them this video, but unfortunately due to the women's clothing it would be deemed inappropriate and I'd get a parent phone call. I wish there was a clean cut version that I could show my students.
aha this song is soooooooo awesome!! :D im actually deaf :) i have hearing aids to help me hear some and i do play guitar for 4 years :D u can check it out my video :) im glad there is a awesome deaf band :D
I wouldn't say he's off-key, per se... it comes across to me as more of a speak-singing kind of thing. And to be honest, I actually rather like it. It sounds better to me than the backing singers, and it feels like his voice has a character to it that I wonder if it'd even keep if he'd gone through enough speech therapy/vocal training to make it sound "aesthetically pleasing".

I’m deaf and wear hearing aids. I like music with beat and cool guitar/bass sounds. I like the music. You guys rock. 🤘🏼😊

I like this. I'm a deaf Classical music composer and just wrote a symphony. I was born hearing but went deaf a couple years ago.

Thanks everyone!

I wonder how they felt the first time they heard their song on the radio. Oh wait...
The song never showed up on radio.
It was a joke...@@SteveLongo
Who else is here from QUARTET "MOTEL" and adult swim smalls series?
CHeck the website
Why does this remind me of Rancid?
This is great, but im deaf sooooo......
It would be even more interesting if it wasn't in English (using ASL grammar).
You are signing "world" incorrectly. The world isn't round. ;)
The real world is not terraria
I like the music, but the singing voice isn't good.
Jolly Roger we had no control of the arrangement nor the mix.
his voice is really that bad. nothing to do with the arrangement or the mix.
Richard Radzinsky agree, it's way off key. he could use a vocal coach or find a professional singer to help them out to make it sound better.
i'd say more but id rather not be called an audist. yup google it - wikipedia has a great page on Audism.
