Basement, have basement shop area that has a dirtbike torn down in it so no room and decided to do work in a heated area as the non heated garage was freezing 🥶 but glad it tickled you 😉
Well done! I’m in my second season with mine, and chose the standard for many of the same reasons you did. I’ve made some modifications, and I will be spending more time on the trails…haven’t felt the need to change the suspension yet. Very happy with the bike, and hope to see more Nordens out in the wild. Safe travels
I love the line of your thoughts. I made quite the same decisions. I put the original center stand which is an aftermarket Husqvarna part, very useful.
great vid. I have the base model as well. I ordered new springs from hyperpro and a new rear shock from them as well (they make the springs for touratech). I didn't want the bike to be any higher...also less flexible. I'm only 5'7", (30-31" inseam) so height was a big issue. I found the stock front forks dove a bit more that my liking. I also wanted a rear shock that had high and low speed damping. I found hyperpro to be a mid-range suspension upgrade option. I think I am into it for about $2,100 USD. I'll get it in about 2-3 weeks and I think it will be great. like you...I am not going to hit a triple on an MX track with this thing. 😉

I don't want increased ride height. 16:30 - Stock windscreen and airflow. Torso height is the key factor not your overall height. 19:42 - How I find the riding and standing position of the Norden with seat in the low position. 24:23 - Summation of the video.
Do you own one? I have done thousands and thousands of miles (BDR type riding, often fully loaded) and have yet to experience ANY problems that would lead me to think that they are "unreliable". Like with everything else, if you take care of them, they will take care of you... besides, show me a bike that doesn't break these days.
@@ralfwilkowski Glad to hear you’ve had such great luck with the Norden and such great experiences riding it. You’re right that there are many models today that have reported issues. Bottom line, be it a bike problem OR accident out in the back country you need to be prepared for problems. So prep the best you can for contingencies. Oh, as for heavy, he should check RockMoto’s channel and see it weighs right inline with the class.
For unreliable you can't comment if you don't own one but for Heavy you serenely can . And can you please explain how you got that conclusion ??? It's 214kg with fuel and Honda Africa 1100 is 224kg plus Honda is way top heavy .
Presenting your bike in the kitchen is something else ...

Thanks, a center stand is very useful for sure.

Points for keeping your bike in the kitchen
easy, it's not reliable and it's very heavy
😁 some certainly will say that.
