Brutal how the time goes by, listening to it now makes it feel like yesterday that I saw her live on stage... all the while it's some decade ago and the world will never get as good as it was back then.

Today in the literature lesson we discussed The Lady of Shalott, the poem this song was originally based on, so I got this song stuck in my head. Now I'm listening to it over and over again.

The turning point at 3:05 gets me every time I hear this song. Parallelism with a strong effect is always a winner in my book. It's just such a simple twist on a repeated phrase and it sums up the story progression of the song perfectly.
It's just so interesting because it's a very humbling line, but it's not like the narrative was ever about pride or hubris or anything. And really, it feels like she's accepting an answer to the entire song.

You're right, but even talking so much about death and the dellusions of life her song sometimes cheer me up, hard to explain, but 'Everyone else can watch as their dreams untie, so why can I?' gives me strenght to accept when thing go bad and move on.

You know, a song based on 'The lady of Shalott' is amazing, but do you know what would be sheer perfection? A song based on 'The Raven' by Edgar Allan Poe. God, my respect to that man, he was clever and I love his stories and poems, especially that one.

I would like to do what someone did to Mama Mia and Abba's songs with Emilie Autumn's songs.
All of her albums clashing together in a psychotic truth about old-fashioned asylums and their inmates. And a story about a strong, insane girl, curious about life.

don't listen to Snutih, or any of the other hater, I am sure you are a very beautiful young woman and what you need to understand is Emilie's beauty comes form with in her, If she was a hateful mean person her beauty in your eyes would melt away. I also think Emilie would say the same thing to you. like CaptRavenous said, If someone can't see your beauty inside and out, then they are not worth your time and nether are the trolls trying to put you down only to make themselves feel better.
