So, I heard you mention that you used a heading sensor. I am getting the message "Radar overlay invalid" when trying to overlay the radar onto my chart . Also am using the 4g radar on my NSS9 EVO2 MFD. Is this because I need the heading sensor?

It sucks that Simrad makes you buy a GPS to use the overlay when it obviously already built in

Gerard Miglino Technically you don’t need the GPS ant to get the overlay. You need a heading sensor, any Navico heading sensor. Just so happens that their cheapest heading sensor also has a GPS ant packaged with it. Before they offered this I had to use a $500 stand-alone heading sensor rate compass in addition to the antenna.
