I went to my first AVP this past weekend in Chicago, I was able to see Phill play and even took a picture with him, what a nice guy he is, very attentive, soft spoken. But I got to say one thing that impressed me the most is how involved the Mckibnins brothers are during the whole tournament, they were on the court pretty much the whole time filming , and it was really hot. It was a great experience, all the players were really approachable, the crowd was awesome, I will definitely be going back.
I will never forget spending an entire weekend at the NVL in Baltimore back in 2012 hanging out with all Phil, Todd, Ryan Mariano, Casey, Ryan Dougherty, Kerri, April, Jenn, and the list goes on. All of them were so humble Phil was so gracious and kind to My family. So many memories one of the best was riding the school bus to finals day with Phil and his knee nearly as tall as the seats on the bus. Then in Hermosa later that summer at the AVP. Love Phil’s humility.
I am 49 and I have played for over 32 years both indoor and beach. I remember meeting Phil in Rome during the FIVB finals a few years back. Watching him play up close is the best experience and memory I have had in this sport over those 32 years. He is the GOAT. Period. Be well thin beast. You have been a true inspiration for so many. 🙌
Phil changed the worldwide beach volleyball scene and strategy more than any one player ever did. Once Phil got on the scene, all of us short and mid sized players realized that a tall player could actually set us.. So the search for a tall hand setter began for the entire world
Love the idea of these types of videos. A look back at the legends of the sport. Especially for the younger generation or people who are just joining the sport.
I'm 5'11" and can jump, played in a few tourneys and when i get a few roofs over the opponents and the spectators yelled out "Let's go Phil" lol I knew exactly who they were referring to ;) so fun lmao Great timing for the roll shots and then swipe it down is the funnest!
I'm down for this to be the first part of a 20-part documentary on Phil
Seconded
Would love a McKibbin-produced 30 for 30
Agree
Epic video boys. So cool to see Nick and Phil running around the court like that celebrating points

Guys! You created a masterpiece. Thanks a lot!
Awesome video! Seems like Phil is opening up a lot more in the past few years on podcasts and videos. I’m glad he is!
Please make more of these. This type of content is great to get people into a new sport

GREAT interview. ❤ "fun" is the reason Dalhausser chose volleyball. 1:48
So much respect for Phil! Was a pleasure to get my butt kicked by him round 2 in 2008-09 AVPs :)
Excellent job McKibbon Bros!!! 👏

I watched all his games
Awesome to see so much emotion from Phil and Nick in those early days. Later with Todd, Phil became so calm. Maybe a bit too calm.
Sick video
