@Ajidam mid? Do you even believe what you're saying? You're of the crowd calling Margot Robbie mid I guess because you have a fragile ego. She's clearly charming, has a great body a 7,5 face.
What's the opinion in France of Lea Seydoux? It's interesting how the French have a different opinion to the English and are apparently not shocked at say what the Americans are. Plus it looks like there's a different view of certain celebrities
The break-up scene between Lea & Adéle's characters is ridiculously powerful, & the effect it has on Adéle's character shortly afterwards when she's teaching the lesson to the children is heartbreaking. She's totally broken. The film was one of the best I've seen.
Her smile is so cute, with her lips and teeth making that cute shape. Lol. Je pense elle est la plus belle femme. Je veux a regarder plus d'elle dans plus des films, bientot !
Considering French is her primary language, Adele speaks fairly well in English, she uses good vocabulary to articulate herself properly. I'm so jealous of her deep sultry french accent lol Love it :)
Live Vegan Lea Seydoux doesn't speak English very well. I think she just couldn't express what she wanted to say. I mean, I think she meant in that interview that her character should be the "one to lead", once she is the older and more experienced. In the context of the interview, you can see she says that, because Adele(the actress) is more outgoing than her and she thought it would be a challenge which really was, but it all went well and the result of this relationship as coworkers we can see in the movie. Both actress are super open minded, don't let a sentence ruin it all.
Lea is playing a character who at least at the beginning is quite "butch." She is an aggressive pursuer of this young girl; and Lea said she studied the films of Marlon Brando and James Dean, seeking attitudes as expressed in their facial expressions and body language, etc. She doesn't mean she was trying to play a man; she was trying to use the gestures and expressions that a pursuer of a young girl might have, and you can see it in the way, in the bar, she has her head always cocked down so she looks sort of sideways at Adele, with a sardonic smile, an amused laugh, an expression that is meant to project her superiority over this younger, inexperienced girl. That's a typical male attitude in such a situation, coming on to a girl in a bar.
Live Vegan its lost in translation. She didn't really mean it that way...she did say about playing a bit masculine role, however that is because that's the persona of the character she was trying to portray. Give her a break, its her second language! And just because of that you refused to watch the movie?? For real? C'mon!
Finally the conversation is not about the "brutal methods" of the director and of the beautiful and intelligent movie. Adele Exarchoupulos a great actress and it is clear that she was so inspired by the director, that he did not want to let this character. Expect to be nominated for an Oscar best actress and best supporting actress and the Golden Globes.
Nice to see that Kechiche smile again as by the Cannes Festival. I think they found each other. The director discovered the perfect actress and she found her director, but Adel Exarcopoulos needs to grow up to have it :)))
Adèle there is so fricking gorgeous! My stars, they say that the beautiful women doesn’t exist, but this women, Adèle, shows that that is not true at all! I’ll let my simp-ness take over from here
This interview is very confusing, most of the journalist in that room speak bad english and the director speaks no english, so first they ask a question then the director answers in french and then a other woman has to translate it. By then I forgot what the interviewer asked.
As a teacher I get a bit pissed off with Anglos who expect the world to be competent in English. I know how patient people had to be with me in France and Germany and Sweden.
I don't like kechiche...he takes himself too serious and it takes him much too long to answer a question. After having seen the movie and several interviews I think it must have been torture for the two women to work with him. Especially Léa seems to have suffered a lot.
***** I didn't say it was a bad movie, just that I didn't like Kechiche. And other than Michelangelo, Kechiche didn't do it on his own. He needed these two actresses and asked (too) much of them to get his film done. Lastly I don't think that Léa would do it all again, hence she wouldn't say it was worth it.
I think what Lea means is that she dominated Adele as a manipulative master. Rather than be able to state that in queen's british, she simplified.I think she genuinely cares about Adele, more than a lesbian sexual relata.
I've yet to see a believable movie about lesbians. I haven't seen this one but when I hear comments by the main actor Lea Seydoux "It was thrilling to be able to play a man" I shake my head and think to myself, this woman knows very little about lesbians or lesbian sex. It's an extremely heterosexist comment and very unfortunate.
Yes, very unfortunate comment BUT you have to see the movie 'cause it's extraordinary. The sex is the less interesting thing about the movie, I've never seen someone (Léa and Adèle) perform like that. At the end, love is love...and they show us love in the most raw way possible.
It depends how you interpret the English of a barely competent speaker. I put more emphasis on the followup comment on being many people as a reference to gender fluidity which she had not the vocabulary for.
Though I found the subject matter and characters quite interesting, did anyone else feel that the movie was overrated? Again, I liked it, but I wasn't enamored by it like so many critics were.
you have a good point, but its the way the actors showed so much emotion that people in the business understand how difficult it is to put it out there, and how rare it is to see nowadays ,it did look cheaply and low budget overall .
Where can I watch this movie in Canada? I have multiple platforms available to me, (Prime Video, netflix, Crave, On demand everything) and I can't find it anywhere! Can someone help me with this, I would appreciate and subscribe her/his channel if you want, just to help me out if you can.
Adel without Lea Seydoux behaves restraint and serious, she's smart, though the film seems both actresses do not understand: (( but Adele wants to learn, she was still only 19 years old :)))
Live Vegan Please don't be too hard on her. Being ignorant or having not enough knowledge about sexuality and being plain sexist are two completely different things. The former is understandable and I'm guessing she didn't mean to look or sound sexist. I myself before I became active on the internet I was quite ignorant about the subject of sexuality too. So please chill a little and give her a chance. :)
yikes ! the director is as typical as they get ! the reason the film is great, is the actors! im not hating on the director, but I call them as i see them. With out the cast he had it would be just another decent foreign film, but the chemistry Adele andLea showed,
if french football players can learn some english for interviews im sure intellectual film makers could manage it if they want to explain and promote their work
Ha ha! English is a not a language that the French are particularly motivated to learn unlike Indians or Scandinavians. French footballers only have to master a narrow range of vocabulary and grammatic forms. The register of English used for sports commentary is not very wide. I can discuss music in German but not sport and I don't think I would do cinema too well .
@@Hndjdj400 why would I not believe that? Indian English is brilliant. Lots of novels, the newspapers published in English. the Cambridge guide has a whole section devoted to the special contribrution of India to English. If you have a regular habit of writing in English you might end up as a writer
Adele is one of those people who are extremely hot, beautiful and cute at the same time. It's insane.
It must be the hair and her stupid beautiful face. Haha
She is mid af.

no, youre just horny mf
I agree! ❣️
Adele is an artwork in itself
Peter Lamber you mean herself?
Yes yes, fantastica
Adèle must be the most beautiful woman on earth, currently.
it's strange, in France we think she's very normal, and a lot of people think she's ugly !
+Emilie asmrose ugly ..............drop dead gorgeuos

Yes when she went alone to the park where they used to go while emma (lea) is already moving on with lise
Adele has a very special beauty not like the regular beauty of a woman, her face has a lot of emotion kind of like a surreal beauty. I love her.
The film is NOT long enough. Too short! Too GOOD!!!
Her smile is so cute, with her lips and teeth making that cute shape. Lol.

What The fuck? She's horrible!
Adèle is the only woman I haven't met in person who I would actually marry, she is so special there's no one like her😍
This movie is a masterpiece.End of discussion.
Adele is incredible! She’s beyond charming and very beautiful and effortless and strong. Art

And i m addicted to Adele
I’m in love with her. god damn.

minsay Lea Seydoux isn't present in this interview. Just saying.
Mario Kluser yeah.. I was talking about something she said in another interview that Live Vegan mentioned
And, of course, the Americans are already asking about sequels.
Clearly you know very little about us Americans. We're about trilogies now.
I'm American so I know quite a bit about Americans, but touche. ;)
H though it was Remakes?
That question if he was thinking of a sequel was indeed a very stupid question. Why would he? Why everything needs sequels.
