  • So the trip continues on our Harley Davidson Road Kings headed north to Brisbane and hopefully eventually to the Tip of Australia !! The oil leak for now seems stable but cannot find the source ? I get booked by the Police a 6foot tall revenue raising cop and argue with him over the ticket. He was always going to book me, as I had a camera in his face which is my right by law.

      Cop was an oxygen thief! I’d contest the infringement notices and lodge a complaint with the NSW Police Integrity Dept. He also had no authority to handle your bike or request you not film.
      This guy is clearly a throw back to the dinosaur era and it’s time he rode a desk. Until people like yourself complain then nothing changes.. great Vlogs Danny’s d always enjoy your content and sense of humour 😂😂😂👍

      He didn't argue he asked a question and said this is revenue raising. Do we live in a world that you can't question or talk to authority. Why book him for an expired license that clearly shows when he ran his license plate that he was totally legal.

    • @oldninjarider
      @oldninjarider 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@scottscaneh you're talking about a country that was started as a penal colony and has locked people down, prevented peaceful protests and has seen a form of concentration camps established for those not getting a shot in the arm. The police have a shit-ton of ways to screw with you and while a judge or magistrate may throw out that charge you still have to deal with it in court. Don't litigate on the side of the road with a guy who has a taser and a gun, you'll lose every time. Once he's decided to give you a ticket, you're getting one. wait for court and lawyer up.

    Danny as a retired cop here in the USA. 32+ years of service. That cop was 100% wrong! Very unprofessional, very aggressive and using laws and violations to punish you for what he perceived as disrespectful behavior by you for actually questioning his authority. I would file a formal complaint with the proper authority. He is a stain on all police offices with his sh+t attitude. Time to retire pal. You are clearly way too sensitive to be on the street any longer. By the way that was also 100% revenue grab. Pathetic, shameful.

      This demonstration of intimidation and repression against a driver for a minor infringement highlights the deeply political nature of the police and courts. Australia has always used repression tactics for control - against First Nations people, and poor and marginalised people, who formed its original prison colony. We know that a fine is trivial in comparison to the lives Australia steals constantly. The Penal Colony administration has failed to evolve into a representation of a modern society. Australia will, like always, use whatever it can to protect itself. For the rest of us, everything is at stake.

    That line was designed specifically for revenue raising. Supposed intention to “ease” the merger of main traffic with traffic from the ramp. From the cop’s pov, they are maintaining law and order. They ride their flashing bikes/cars with bright stickers yelling “Cop is here!”. From the pov of road users where we experience real road rage and bullying, we hope the police are around to help us from those situations but they are never around. Only to be pulled over in the corner for minute matters and ego flexing. Btw, if they had really wanted to ease the merger with a silly line, might as well built a wall all the way. The fact it isn’t a wall meant that when there’s no traffic from the ramp, bloody use it. A line drawn on the road made people become stupid.

It's about a $400 US fine here. #2 rule never piss off the cop with a sarcastic remark immediately when stopped--anywhere. #3 judging from your vid those lanes look very busy and maybe people are always doing as you did, so it's an easy target-rich environment for the cops. Got to hand it to Mitch he’s a good bloke dropping everything for a friend of a friend, as for the police officer he’s doing what they do the world over minor traffic offences bag easy money. Strangely familiar hearing the terminology / manner used by Australian officials it’s very similar to the U.K. as opposed to say an American cop culturally different. Sorry you got busted man I’d definitely fight that one if you’re concerned about it, cop needs re-educating. Sending some ❤ from 🇬🇧

    My old man was a TOG (traffic operations group) cop in Melbourne years ago, met a lot of his colleagues, decent blokes. That cop was on a power trip, your probably right been in the job way to long. What else is he going to do with himself but issue petty little fines. He’s reached the pinnacle of his career. Let it go Danny and don’t intimidate them when you get stopped next time, all 5.4 of you. Ps: I’m surprised he didn’t use his stun gun on you or go one further…..🤪

    1. Why have I been stopped? Should always be your first question. 2. What law have I broken? 3. If they cannot answer to first question by law you are free to go. You are not obliged to contract or answer anything further. By the way, you can have them pay for a new helmet. Helmets are rendered damaged when dropped onto a hard surface from a height or impacted. Send them the bill for a replacement.

    I'm sorry you went though that, take it to court, I got pulled over too, but totally the opposite happened, I did a U-turn at set of lights on my bike, then straight away blue lights, once I pulled over he ask for my lincene and pulled my phone out and showed it to him, he gone back to his car, 5 minutes later came back and said, I'll just give you a warning. I said thank you ser. It's wired there out there. Power tripping the core

    I have heard from several reputable custom builders here in the USA that the vaunted Milwaukee 8 engine has several major design flaws that Harley-Davidson refuses to address: One; is the problem with the cam bearing design that allows crank case oil to migrate over to the other side; Secondly, is the oil overpressure situation in the crankcase; Thirdly, is the incessant problem of cylinder cracks. These are the few I can remember. What I can say, is what I heard from these builders: It's a serious design flaw that is cheaper for Harley to address with "Extended Warranties", instead of redesign and retooling. Go figure the new mentality on quality control. I've had more buddies that have had "out-of-the box" engine problems with this single cam Milwaukee 8 engine than any of the previous generations of motor designs; the AMF 1970's Era trash bikes being an exception.
