Hi, guys thanks for the videos. How do I disable the bass x connects from the HU for the subs? The manuel says to disable my x-overs on the amp and let the hu take over? I don't really want to do that especially since my amp has more specific settings. I have a D mono block with built in x-overs on it already (JLA Slash 500/1). I spent some time to tune it in just right with my old HU. I feel the x-overs on the HU aren't allowing certain frequencies to come threw. My old head unit was a Kenwood and it had a "Through" setting that allowed all the frequencies to go "through" allowing the x-overs on the amp to do its thing. I'm trying to do the same thing with this Alpine but am having a tough time. I notice certain frequencies not coming threw when the subs hit. Appreciate any help thanks.
I did get the epicenter hooked up to a RF p1000.1bd. To my ears the epicenter makes all the bass sound the same note . the manual says hook it up to a full channel amp but my bass amp is connected to the alpine HU sub out and the amp is a sub amp 20-250 hz. I guess you could daisy chain from the full channel amp to the epicenter, then to the rockford but im not gonna change the wireing set up ive already got. I may send the epicenter back
Can this be removed from the dash by myself? Or would the company that installed it have to do it?? I wanna add some subs but my brother supposedly said there's a security code for it after it's disconnected? Idk how accurate that is. Please help.
I’m gonna try one of these to run the 3 way active mode or network if that’s what you prefer to say. I am gonna remove the passive crossovers on my Focal KRX2 61/2 components and I have 2 DC audio LVL4 12’s in a custom cherry man box tunes to 32htz with DC audio 2k’s on the subs and DC audio 175.4 for highs mids. Yea I know I went overkill on the amps but overkill is underrated like DC says it allows everything to run nice and easy with plenty of good clean power. We actually hooked up my 4 channel to my buddy’s 4 15’s and surprisingly it beat the shot out of them it was flexing the window and everything we where amazed at the class AB power that amp put out. Should be 3 times to much for my components but I have room to grow if in the future I want to add a set of components or subs.
Hey buddy... I’m interested in this stereo Alpine CDE-W265BT .. I have two questions if you can give me an answer to . First does it have a dimmer ? I drive at night a lot a looks kinda bright .. second.. how is the fm reception compared to a pioneer ? I live in the middle of nowhere and pioneer is the only one that gives me decent reception .... but I’m really wanting to upgrade and don’t want to buy an other pioneer .. thanks
Hi i have been trying the hands free calling , i can hear them through the speakers but they cant hear me. Do i need to buy a mic or is there a mic built in the unit? Thanks
+Andrew Jao A mic should have came with the unit that gets installed in your vehicle i.e. by a sun visor. Hopefully it didn't get thrown out with the box:)
ok i hooked this headunit up and it really sounds sweet powering my polk dxi 6.5s. my question is the TCR time correction... do i simply just put how many inchs each speaker is from my head?? for instance if my front left speaker in the door is 25 inchs away, do i just put 25 in the radio? and if my front right speaker was 52 inchs away do i just put 52 and so on??? or do i gotta do some funky mathmatical stuff and do i delay the sub in the boot?
Eric Lupo yeah a ton of math, I had to call Alpine to rap my head around how bad it is. They try to explain it in the manual and do a bad job. You do need the manual for their conversion chart. Page 21. I will try to give it a go- first measure all four speakers you will need to convert to meters. Next subtract the 3 shorter ones from the longest- next divide each of those three numbers by 343 and then multiply by 1000. So there example of the math on page 21 will walk you through it if needed. What they don't tell. Now take those solution numbers find them on the chart under Time Distance slid across to the Distance number. Take the Distance number and put that in the radio. Good luck, let me know if you get it.
ok that is complicated lol. cuz i tried just putting the inchs in like i explained and it really didnt do much of anything. negative or positive. ill try to do the math.. if i was to give u the inchs from my head from each of the 4 speakers can you help me with the final input?
I've recently purchased this head unit and have a question about the time correction. If I adjust everything from where I'm sitting in the drivers seat won't it effect the passengers listening experience?
Yes it will, but they are the passenger. Did you spend all the time and money to worry about your passengers listening experience. If you want to show off the system have them set in the drivers seat and wow them out.
Hey guys. question: would a soundstream digital bass machine or any brand bass reconstructor be useful with this head unit (alpine cde-265bt) or are all those adjustments already in the head unit?
How many sources does this unit have? I hate I have to scroll through radio, aux, Spotify, pandora, and Bluetooth on my pioneer. I can't turn any of them off.
@David Petik ????? What does that even mean? When you "scroll" from one input to a different one, THAT TURNS OFF the previous source, and turns on the new one. WTF??
There is no off for the lpf, you have to choose a frequency. The Alpine have a smart phone app call tuneit, you can set all your sound settings from it. We have a video up showing how it works.
i gotta question- if i set the high frequecy at lets say 18k and choose WIDE on the parametric, about where should i set the next lower frequency as to not overlap? you see i dont like high pitch sounds so i think set at 18k should take care of anything from 17k to 20k but i dont know what the "window" is from one end to the other end of a set frequecy set to wide
+Five Star Car Stereo oh yeah i forgot to say at 18k i would lower the the decibles of that frequency and the frequencies around it but set to wide how far does that affect other frequencies would you say?
+Blacksea Odessa I believe the 265 is the USA version whereas the 296 is the european? They're basically the same, except the 296 doesnt have any of the pandora etc..
the stupid bass engine SQ is on and i have no idea how to turn it off on an X108U, very annoying and i don't want to hit factory defaults because the sub level gets mysteriously unresponsive sometimes afterwards on my headunit. I'll call Alpine on monday i guess, lol
I’m convinced. I’m ditching my buggy android unit for this gem. Thanks for the review!
I've had this double din for a bit over 4 years and love it still, only now I find out about the 3 way thing?

where would y'all recommend to order stereos from
Hey guys. question:
would a soundstream digital bass machine or any brand bass reconstructor be useful with this head unit (alpine cde-265bt) or are all those adjustments already in the head unit?
c0uchsl0uch the radio does not have that type of effect in it. So would say get one, I like the AudioControl epicenter
How many sources does this unit have? I hate I have to scroll through radio, aux, Spotify, pandora, and Bluetooth on my pioneer. I can't turn any of them off.

I personally do not go up that high, depending on where your tweeters are mounted you may need to EQ them down.

+c0uchsl0uch if you have not downloaded the Tunit app yet you may. You can play with EQ to get an idea of what it can do.
+Five Star Car Stereo Tuneit
hi I need to know how to set the clock , please ....
2024❤
Great video, but one question. I know this is a crazy one, but do new Alpines really lack quality than the classic 2000's headunits? Curious...
When it comes to single din or this radio they are really nice and sound great.
I'll take that answer. Thanks
is "WIDTH" and "SLOPE" similar ?
Yes they are. Width is just the term used on the EQ because the slope is on both sides of the frequency.
Does it play AAC files from USB?
K Puck no it does not appear to do anything with AAC file playback.
That sucks.
What's the difference between 265 and 296!?
+Blacksea Odessa
I believe the 265 is the USA version whereas the 296 is the european? They're basically the same, except the 296 doesnt have any of the pandora etc..
Thank!
wow this is pretty cool.
These guys have been a hit
Why does everyone get the time settings backwards. Come on guys.
does this reciever play nice with a android phone ?
Some of them have no problems with the Tuneit app. Bluetooth phone and audio works fine.
good vdo
thanks, i already told the guy to have there by friday for the install in a kia soul- your vdo helped me decide
Ничего не понятно но очень интересно.

Have you tried to use the Tunit app from your phone.
+Five Star Car Stereo i figured out how to disable it, got the app on my phone too just have to register an account, thnx for the response !!
+rellik187redrum cool I really like using the app it is pretty sweet
The only thing bad about this headunit is no navigation
Try a road atlas. It works for me.
I need these model in india for my car.
@7:38 lol wtf
No green chiclet buttons, not an ////Alpine. I'll stick with the old 'good stuff'
