This is a subject that comes up often, but us airgun enthusiasts already know this. And as we all know, some people laugh at the idea of PCP's being used for home/self defense. You know I agree . But the powder burners can't even agree on which guns and calibers are best for home defense. So they will never accept the premise that PCPs can do the job. Thanks.
If it takes 53 Foot Pounds of Energy to penetrate the human skull... then why do people still believe after 10 rounds to the chest of 200+ FPE that a man is gonna keep moving like he's the Terminator 😅
I agree 100% with all that you said here. I sold everything and only kept two 25 cal PCPs, as clean fire power and penetration, you want something over the 600-700 fps 22 and 25 cal machines. I competed with 30 cal power weapons one day on the range, and my 1,000 fps 25 Cal Hatsan bolt action beat a 30 Cal Winchester in speed, accuracy and had twice the penetration in the same 20" thick block of ballistic gel target. The 30 Cal had a penetration of 9 to 12 inches, and mine typically went all the way through the depth of the target. A 45 grain 25 Cal fired at 1,000 fps has roughly 90+ pounds of force at 25 yards. 25 Cal pistols and regulated PCPs have less performance, but that simply depends on what you can handle and what you can lat down as protective force when needed. And in that regard, I am something of an expert witness as a veteran of Vietnam conflict with three tours. Oorah!
Wow a Marine with three tours of duty in the Vietnam conflict. Now that is something special. Thanks you for your service. I like the term: ""what you can lat down as protective force when needed." To me "What you can lat down" refers to what you have available be it a powder burner or a PCP. And "protective force" refers to using it in an effective and sustained manor. So I agree that a PCP, in a pinch can do the job. Thanks again for your service and for your insight. Best of luck.
Agreed, even some MISDEMEANOR CONVICTIONS will get your second amendment rights taken for life and history of the second amendment has always been that once a person has served their sentence they would have ALL their rights restored, hopefully they will start using the constitution again instead of emotions when it comes to peoples rights after they have paid their debt to society and have become the PEOPLE again
Because the law is SCREWED UP and basically says your not allowed to defend your own life if you've ever even simply "Bounced a Check" If your a convicted felon and a man with no record comes into your house attempting to rob and harm you, you had better have witnesses or footage because they HAVE AND WILL take his word over yours. He could tell them he knocked on your door to "Spread The Good Word" You can own an air rifle that can take down an elephant but you cant have a can of Pepper Spray. Or any body armor if your worried about these mass shootings or being robbed and shot. Or a tazer. Or non lethal pepper balls He'll you cant even own a Cattle Prod. BUT I CAN OWN A FLAMETHROWER 🔥 My point is that these laws are made by IDIOTS to make IDIOTS feel safe.
I'm about halfway through this video and enjoying it immensely. There's one flaw which is easily remedied. If you're trying to get the drop on someone, you want to be doing that with iron sights at such close range. By the time you find your eye relief in the scope, that evildoer could have gotten the drop on you. If you're only option is a PCP rifle, definitely go with iron sights.
All my UTG Swat scopes can focus to inside 10 yards and are all 4 to 12 power. So I can quickly find someones head and fire accurately in any home situation and there is no discounting a thermal scope in the dark. Thanks.
My remedy to this is that all 3 of my PCPs have quick release rings with little marks etched onto the rails for quick and easy return. I remove my scope from the BULLDOG. 357 because with that rifle you only have to look down that long rail and I've run drills with it, repeatedly. Human shaped torso cut out of 3/8in. pine board with 81gn JSB pellets only. No slugs,it will look much better in court. I just kicked it up to 2 targets and am getting 1 center mass hit on each one in 3.3seconds. Working on it.
Less than a year since you posted this video and we now have the huben gk1 pistol firing 40 grain slugs at 80fpe... an air pistol... a hammerless air pistol! 😮
Yeah, you could be crazy. The biggest thing, as soon as this topic is discussed, you'll lead to getting airguns regulated. So, I won't discuss what my .30cal 100fpe and .357cal 200fpe airguns with Thermal Scopes on board will do to an intruder in a home defense scenario 😉.
Good point. Let's not tip off the crazy, radical gun-control people out there. Once they find out we can defend ourselves with air, they will try to regulate compressors.
Ye be careful or soon the US will have 7.4 FPE without "FAC" like we have in Sweden.. Or ~5 FPE like in Germany However I enjoyed the video like always Aaron ❤🔥
Hey Aaron I agree in many scenarios they would be effective. But, you have to be very familiar with your tool. The stealth of smaller pcp’s is a huge advantage in many prepper scenarios. Another advantage you can have is the adversary likely has done very little if any training. Of course it’s not my first choice. I have other options and I do some training with them. The new “Rattler .35”, Leshy 2, and a few like them would be great choices for what you’re talking about. The optic on it would make a huge difference for say a dark space at close range.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Very real world approach to using these types of options for self defense. Great collection of airguns brother. Most of my airguns are for recreational activities. That said, I do have less lethal airguns options along with my firearms for self defense. I added less lethal airguns to my self defense system, because I realized not every self defense encounter required a lethal response. Although the airguns you showcased are basically the equivalent to firearms and would be good alternatives for those who would a firearm and for whatever reason, can't or don't have access to one. Appreciate your input. Good to see another Michigander doing what you do to promote self defense for law abiding citizens. Stay safe and healthy. Peace
hey Aaron , i wanted to let you know , i specialize in modding umarex HDP.50 cal , and the HDR .68 , can do the hdr.50 also . spend a 100 on marker , another 150 in high performance parts , let me file, fit , polish all internal and properly lube with pure silicone grease , gel and oil in different places , you will have a piece that puts out 39 to 42.93 joules , awesome less lethal home or personal self defense weapon !!! for home defense i recommend a quicker dot type sight or just plain sights . head shots , especially through the eye is fatal , with airguns ,but with the less lethal modded markers ,center mass will break bones and put em down , can shoot pepper balls too !!! lol
How about the TD 50 or HDR 50? Maybe .177 pellets co 12 g dieseled fast flights? I can't have powder. I been trying a replacement to just get someone off me. I know they not superman no one going to stand 2 3 yards away getting hit with one. They going to move too. I know the 50 with the right round will put u down from ten yards. What u think.
Magnificent discussion! AEA HP SS+ in .25 or .30 pushing 50FPE at CQB range, will give any potential perpetrator a one-way ticket to hell. Just don't let them shoot your air tank 😉
I guess I have been out of the loop lately. Just heard of the AEA HP SS+ and the Evanix rexp. Boy they are two bad ass guns. Thanks for informing me about them.
You are right. It’s not a crazy idea. They are certainly capable of being used for home defense. My problem with the idea though is that they are simply not reliable enough for my comfort in such a scenario. My Benjamin bulldog is certainly capable of being used for home defense, but it has sat for the last year or more without me using it. I have no idea if a seal has gone bad. I will have to check it before I use it next. My Walther 9 mm has been sitting for a couple of years, loaded and ready to go. I have no questions about it being ready to use if needed.
I have air guns that have not been shot in years and they are holding 3,000 psi with not problems. Sitting is not problem it us us, the constant fill to 3,000 shooting down to around 1,500 psi and filling again that puts strain on the o-rings. Just my experience. Thanks.
bullet from an air rifle and probally air pisfol also goes thru wood imagine shoting a himan with it i can kill someone easy with an air pistol and rifle
@@stefanvasic7559 Absolutely you can kill someone with an air rifle. The question is whether it is going to be ready to shoot on a moments notice, or are you going to discover at three in the am when you need it that it has no air because of a seal gone bad? You better be sure it’s reliable.
I don’t know why the idea of using a PCP airgun for home defense is so crazy. Are there better tools available? Absolutely! But the Girandoni Air Rifle which I believe was about .46 caliber and “only” held 800 psi was effectively used in military combat in the late 1700s. Not to mention, we have much more advanced PCPs these days too.
I just looked up the Girardoni air rifle was an air gun designed around 1779. Boy was I shocked. I thought for sure I would be looking at a modern PCP. Thanks for the info.
Hi Aaron, are you crazy to have an air rifle as self defense ? HELL NO you're not crazy. A pellet would sure stop me in my tracks and I'm 6' tall 300 lbs. EXCELLENT video as always, Aaron. You're a badass.
I am impressed,, You are an educated, proud, good black man who knows how to protect himself,,, I wish ALL blacks and whites had HALF your knowledge and fortitude,,, Keep going brother,,,,you are awesome,,
I'm not allowed to own a firearm...but I have a heavily modded Guantlet .25 with a Massive 4500psi tank,a 2300 PSI regulator and a heavier hammer spring. It will go clean through a 2x4 and it's not something you'd want to get hit by ! I can also put an 8 shot mag into a group not much bigger than the size of a quarter at a 100 yards . Next is a .30 Hatsan Blitz . I own several Hatsan pellet guns and they're all super reliable. I also have a real katana . So PCP for home defense ? Better than a sling shot !
I have a semi-full auto LCS SK-19 .30 cal regulator cranked up to 175 bar with 76 grain hollow point slugs, 17 shot magazine and A Western Rattler .357 semi-auto cranked up to 175 bar with 202 grain slugs 15 shot magazine! Both regulators can be cranked all the way up to 190 bar. The Western Rattler can reach 270 FPE. They are expensive, relatively quiet with their stock suppressors (the LCS SK-19 can be upgraded to a Donny Fl), super balanced, with Holosun Holographic closed Red Dots and are indeed intruder/attacker stoppers and droppers and if needed, I could reach enough to argue here and say short range sniper rifles. Also AEA products have changed the game. The the B&W S45 is a capable carbine type.
Boy your guns could easily be classified as powder burners. I dis not know they made 202 gr slugs. Yeah don't waste your money on a powder burner. Thanks.
@@aaroncantrell8819 Yes high power airguns are evolving fast and for the good! The AEA Zeus is a beast that can lob a 850-grain slug at 870 ft-lb. Exciting times!
Great video about these type of guns. I'm not allowed to own a fire arm in my country but can own a PCP rifle or pistol. My question is if you can store these guns pressurized? If so, fully or partly pressurized.
A practically silent .22 pushing 60ft pounds is enough to dispatch any human being on the planet given proper shot placement. If you consider a 50 grain .30 cal pellet moving 800fps, no skull or rib or forearm or Tibia is going to stand up to it. Shatter bone, fracture skull, all quieter than a hand clapping.
I would suggest to anyone that's using a PCP for home defense to get at least a 30 cal, 357 preferably in semi-automatic bullpup for better maneuverability. For your optics disregard the scope, top it off with a open sight, Red Dot or laser. A true air Gunner knows the capability of those 357 air rifles, they're just as deadly as using a handgun. Also, there's technology out there in which you can double your foot pounds of energy which is really not necessary. The cat's out of the bag gentleman, they already know all about your airguns and loopholes for some individuals. Please just be responsible or that right can be taken away also.
That is my biggest fear, somebody some day is going to do something really stupid with an air gun, and we will be right behind the UK with calls to regulate them like firearms. I love the fact that right now I can live in the most restrictive state in the nation for firearms and order a full auto air rifle through the mail, pimped out with any accessories I want without permission from the gov’ment. The freedom is Awsome, and I want to keep it that way.
I agree with your assessment. Can't beat a 30 or 357 cal. But if you don't need those calibers for your everyday use then a head shot with a .22 or .25 will put his lights out and any scope will do the job. But I feel really good because I own a thermal scope so all I need to do is cut off all the lights. Thanks.
The absolute lethal effectiveness of an air rifle, capable of propelling projectiles at over 900 feet per second, is a testament to its discreet yet formidable nature in self-defense scenarios. This high-velocity capability ensures swift and precise incapacitation of threats, offering a distinct advantage in situations demanding stealth and precision. The lack of loud gunfire reports allows for a covert defense strategy, catching assailants off guard. Its lethal potency, combined with the advantage of silent operation, makes it an invaluable tool for individuals seeking a non-lethal yet highly effective means of safeguarding themselves in self-defense situations.
It's not for everyone, because of the price point. However, the .357 Rattler fires 81gr. JSB pellets at over 1,000 fps producing 200 fpe. Or you can also use 174 gr. slugs at 800 fps generating 230 fpe. It has a very reliable 15 shot fixed rotary magazine. That is semi-auto only. Or, the .30 cal Rattler that has a 17 shot fixed rotary magazine that is select-fire. Using 65 gr slugs generating 200 fpe. I own both Rattlers and also , two SK 19's . One in .25 cal and one in .30 cal. The 30. cal Rattler and the 30.cal SK19 look and function similarly. However, the .30 cal Rattler generates way more power and is more accurate.
Really, the .357 Rattler fires 81gr. JSB pellets at over 1,000 fps and a 174 gr. slugs at 800 fps. Boy that really takes PCPs to a whole new level. I am going to look into that Rattler. Thanks.
Wise words brother. Millions are not allowed Conventional arms. I am trying to reach and teach those people about these options. Also as we saw during covid when supply chains break down it is very easy to cast your own ammo gpr pcp
Hey Arron: I haven't checked in on Ur channel in a while, but i saw this and was interested. I agree with U. for home defense get a (powder burner) But, I just got an AEA HPSS .22 cal shoots 12 shots as fast as U can pull the trigger. But, they also make this same gun in .45 this would equal any .9mm pistol. Next I am going to check out Ur new and old .bb gun review. Keep em coming!!! RHK
I was actually thinking more about catching game to feed myself in the event that ammo is hard to get . I guess pellets could be hard to get to but easier to make then powder shells
A quiet pcp rifle with a good suppressor and thermal scope could be a more deadly killer on the battlefield.. you won’t even hear your buddy dying near you ..
I agree, I have an FX Compact .30 (sucks the regulator leaks ALL THE TIME but thats beyond the point), I'm shooting 90 FPE with a compact .30. I also had many hand guns in my life. I always told people if I had a dude 100 feet away from me with a 9mm vs me with my FX, I wouldn't even break a sweat. The accuracy of PCP's these days are unbelievable. I'm thinking of a semi auto now for self defense (much less power but whatever). I DROPPED A DEER with a .22 marauder pistol once tuned to 28 FPE from 25 yards away folks with a headshot. Dead more humane than any .308 in the chest shot ive ever seen. People, just practice only going for headshots like this gentleman says. If you can hit a squirrel from 50 yards in the head EVERYTIME you sure as shit aint gonna miss a dude 20 feet away with a BIG ASS HEAD.
One year later and they have better air guns for that purpose. The m50 is a bolt action .45 caliber air pistol that has up to 200 fpe. And you can get an attachment that turns it into a pump action for quicker fire up shots. It is only $640 for the air gun however the pump action kit is another $155.
I have an evanix rexp 9mm. I keep it between the seats when I go to the city. It is only one shot but that should be all I need in a carjacking situation. It makes quick work of rattlesnakes too. I also have a Huben in the house with 100ftlbs and 17 shots.
I agree but how many other uses will it have. The thing about high cals is the have limited uses for me. I love shooting my .177s cals because I can shoot them every day and night. thanks for watching.
It's all about foot pounds. I have a .50 cal smooth bore pcp. I make my own shot sabots to throw an ounce of BBs. I get 870 fps with a one foot spread at 25ft. Ouch.
Well you have done it with a PCP and I agree. The best home protection arm is a shotgun loaded with either buckshot or number 4s. Don't have to aim to straight to take him out. Thanks.
I have a hatsan Blitz, full auto, in .22. I bought it for home defense. It's running a 14.3 pellet at 1085 to 1090 fps over the chronograph, and 38 ft/lbs. It will dump 4 rounds out of the 21 shot mag in a burst, that's the least amount of pellets you can shoot in a burst, it dumps the full magazine in about 1 second, and has never jammed. No man is going to take 10 or more of these in 1/2 to 1 second and stay on his feet. I shoot frequently, so it's always full of air. It sits beside my bed, cocked, locked, and ready to rock. I live alone, so no kids going to get ahold of it. I'm supremely confident in both the rifle, and myself. I've been shooting for over 50 years and know how to do it. And your correct, you lay n wait, shoot when you see them.
Boy that is what I call "Led down range in a hurry. That hatsan Blitz sound great. I am going to look into that gun. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
hello top video you should be congratulated but would you recommend this carbine pcp kral bigmax x 7.62 for wild boar hunting where it is allowed and is it for self defense if you currently have no other weapon???
People that say a PCP shouldn't be used for home defense don't understand technology. There are machines that use water jets to cut steel 😂 so why wouldn't you think compressed air could propel a projectile the same velocity as gun powder is insane to me.
I would not use an air gun simply because I have firearms. However if I was in a situation where I was forced to use an air gun, I have a Gamo Swarm Magnum break barrel and with quick reflexes, you might get a 2nd or 3rd shot off because that particular break barrel is magazine fed and potentially could be considered a repeater. The swarm magnum also packs a powerful punch for a 22 air gun. it can penetrate sheet metal and plywood all day long. I am sure that at close range and good shot placement, it could seriously injure or even kill if need be. But hopefully I will never have to find out though.
My friend, I totally agree with you. Air rifles of today are deadly! Most people doesn’t know this fact! The first thing they think is their grandparents BB gun. Some of these rifles are pushing 1000-1100 fps and more! These people don’t know what an air rifle can do now and the power it has! Great video!
My only concern w pcp home defense is air pressure storage in these guns . I may not use this regularly for home defense but when I do need to pick it up I want all the pressure .......
then you want a unregulated pcp.my sabers had 2000 lbs of air in it over a year, never lost a single psi.pcps with regulators ive heard have had issues with seals.dont seem to be the case with unregulated ones.
My 25 cals will drop deer at 75 yrds. So intruders within 20-25 ft might have a "BAD" day like you said if I get off the 1st shot. As you said you can have a 9mm, 357 magnum or whatever, but if you don't get off the 1st shot then it's no good. Would I want a pcp rifle in a war zone ? Nope, but for in home protection I wouldn't have a problem with it if I get off the 1st shots and hit the intruder.
Lots of people who don't know about PCP would argue with you about dropping a deer with your .25 but we in the game know better. It is all about shot placement. I like the idea a viewer posted saying that he has a 50 cal loaded with buck shot. What an idea. Thanks.
@@aaroncantrell8819 I'm betting the 25 cals I have shooting 1000 fps will drop someone easily. FX Crown, Impact, Hercules bully, Neutron Star, Avenger, and Sumatra. Yeah I think they will do the job if needed. Enjoy the holidays
When purchased my used FX Impact Mk2 it came with eight boxes of .22 cal slugs. I own four .22 cal PCPs and none of them have ever fired a slug. That is because slugs are a scam to me. $16.00 will purchase me 500 pellets and $17.00 will only purchase me 100 slugs. Are slugs five times better or five times more expensive to make? The answer is no!!! So it is a well marketed scam to me. Thanks.
I have a 50 cal pcp pistol and if that doesn't stop them I also have a new hand held 50 shot rail gun that uses a Ryobi 18 volt battery good for up to 75 feet
I kind of agree. But I’m a bad shot I can’t see that good. And I’m not wearing glasses or contacts when I sleep. Need something bigger than a 25 or 22 cal.
I just learned from a comment that the .357 Rattler semi auto fires 81gr. JSB pellets at over 1,000 and a 174 gr. slugs at 800 fps. That is a lot higher than 60 joules. PCPs are getting scary. Thanks for the information and for watching.

I agree I have some rimfires but I have some PCP that put that out equivalent to a 45 ACP, got a 457 Bullpup, semi-automatic 457 with tactical grip light laser and red dot, 357 side lever and a 25 Cal semi automatic, and I got a 50 cal wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of either one. The S45 I have would be a go-to for self-defense!
@@aaroncantrell8819 I have it setup has the carbine version but I have the mini barrel too easy to switch out got some metal covers coming for the magazines being made in a 20 round drum instead of a six-shooter semi-auto.. love you videos keep up the good work
@@aaroncantrell8819 was one of the first in the u.s. for the pre-orders little over a year ago I've had it now. They're Challenger Bullpup series is nothing to play with either a little heavy but very powerful!
The problem with most PCP's and semi autos is that they have spring loaded magazines which you cannot leave them loaded for long periods of time because the spring tension will weaken and this might cause jamming when you most need it. The Edgun Leshiy is an excellent solution but it is crazy expensive! In my opinion a good home defense setup needs a compact form factor, a revolver magazine, > 30 Joule power and effective penetration which means .22 or max .25 cal H&N Hornets. Not sure how many PCP's satisfy all of the above.
I agree that is a problem with most semi autos. I know I have to remember to de-cock my M40 but that leaves one in the chamber. So now I have to double stack the first shot but I am use to it now. As for the Leshiy too expensive. My nephew has almost $3,000 invested in his. Thanks for watching.
buddy , why dont you think about getting you some less than lethal weapons , these markers are really nice , comes in .68 and .50 . i been working on them almost a year , i am a beast with it ,i get up to 42 plus joules with still using a 12 gram co2 powerlet . i totally rebuild the whole marker ,all internals . i grind ,file ,polish and fit all parts . i change the valve system , install custom tighter barrels , powerful firing pin ,etc.etc.etc.these things puts a 8.5 gram steel ball bearing straight thru a tin can and more , shoots powder balls ,pepper balls , steel , slugs ,all types of stuff . search "less than lethal "on youtube brother !!!
This is also for the responsible guy who is considerate of his neighbors, and doesn't want to kill any of them by accident with a stray! " Hold your fire till you see the hair on their junk... Or something like that." The guy with really thick glasses is still waiting...
I don't see much difference between powder burner and air guns. Both guns are designed to shoot bullets at high speed. But economics says that for emergency use, powder burner guns are more economical. For example I have 12 gauge maverick 88 shotgun which cost total $300 including taxes, registration and background checki. Compared to that similar air shotgun would cost $1500+. One area air gun really shines is less lethal self defense and air revoloves like HDR50/HDR68 are really awesome for stopping home invaders especially with pepper ball rounds.
I mean I didn't watch this yet, but as long as you understand that this is not "less lethal" then... no. But at the same time, maybe? Because if you know it's more than likely lethal, why not just buy a gun? Edit: my comment here was to the title, not the first question you ask in the video, like I said I hadn't clicked play yet lol.
Agreed a break barrel would do with the right shot placement but as you already said a good semi auto would be the better choice, I'm planning on getting a Hatson Invader in 22 for me that's the one but I don't have access to powder burners can't have one
Check out the AEA HP SS. It comes in .22, .25 and .30 cal. Much smaller and lighter than the Hatsan Invader but still packs a punch. I have the .30 cal HP SS for my home and carry it in my car also.
@@MWS67 Yeah that one is on my wish list but for now it's the invader and until then I have my sig mcx 30 rounds of red fire should do just fine thanks
i know everybody will say im crazy but i grew up in a time when anyone could mail order to their door step any rifle and shotgun and that included thompson machine guns when my grandfather was a young man so if they start being linked to deaths then they will quickly become regulated and there is no amendment for air rifles
If a pellet gun was all I had I do believe I could use it in a self-defense situation people have been killed by pellet rifles, my TH-cam channel is All American prepper 13 and I have a video about this and I absolutely do believe used to use a pellet rifle for self-defense, I mean you can buy one at Walmart that shoots 1,400 feet per second and that can cause some serious damage I could possibly kill someone I have over 14,000 subscribers and I hunt with a pellet gun it's all shot placement and they also are good for a prepper for hunting small game without making a lot of noise and very cost-effective.
My biggest reason to have a PCP in my arsenal, is the relatively low noise level when compared to firearms. It’s easy to say that you can use an AR pistol for example, in your home or car, for self defense. But I can guarantee that ppl with that mindset, have never used an AR pistol in a home or vehicle. The noise level is unbearable for 9 out of 10 people; and just about everyone will endure hearing damage. Yes, a suppressor will help when using an AR or other firearms, but I think a PCP is ideal in the confines of a home or a vehicle.
Take away the suppressor and i would only own one PCP and it would be a .177 cal. for the quiet. So I agree sound is a big consideration. Thanks for watching.
I have no other choice i lice in holland firearms are illegal over here but we can buy any airrifle we want so i bought a aiventuri wingshot ii so breaking in at the moment is not a great thing to do in my house

Two thumbs my fellow Veteran. I completely agree with you. I have a bunch of .25 , .30 , .35 caliber semi-auto and lever action rifles and bull pups.
Oorah!

So I agree that a PCP, in a pinch can do the job. Thanks again for your service and for your insight. Best of luck.
Why do people seem to believe that a felon has lost his right to defend his life against a person trying to deny his.
Because the law is SCREWED UP and basically says your not allowed to defend your own life if you've ever even simply "Bounced a Check"
If your a convicted felon and a man with no record comes into your house attempting to rob and harm you, you had better have witnesses or footage because they HAVE AND WILL take his word over yours.
He could tell them he knocked on your door to "Spread The Good Word"
You can own an air rifle that can take down an elephant but you cant have a can of Pepper Spray.
Or any body armor if your worried about these mass shootings or being robbed and shot.
Or a tazer.
Or non lethal pepper balls
He'll you cant even own a Cattle Prod.
BUT I CAN OWN A FLAMETHROWER 🔥
My point is that these laws are made by IDIOTS to make IDIOTS feel safe.
Thanks.
I thought the same. iron sights or red dot reflex sight
I have never used iron sights so I am stuck with scopes. But My scopes are clear from 10 yards to infinity. Thanks.
I like lasers. Any reason why people don't? Especially on less lethal stuff, that can take the force easily without going out of alignment.
I say yes BRO! You are right on those who see this video pay attention!
Less than a year since you posted this video and we now have the huben gk1 pistol firing 40 grain slugs at 80fpe... an air pistol... a hammerless air pistol! 😮
It’s crazy🔥🔥how advanced the sport is getting 17:18
Yeah, you could be crazy. The biggest thing, as soon as this topic is discussed, you'll lead to getting airguns regulated. So, I won't discuss what my .30cal 100fpe and .357cal 200fpe airguns with Thermal Scopes on board will do to an intruder in a home defense scenario 😉.
may they RIP !
@@albertchavez2693 😏 Yup.
Good point. Let's not tip off the crazy, radical gun-control people out there. Once they find out we can defend ourselves with air, they will try to regulate compressors.
Ye be careful or soon the US will have 7.4 FPE without "FAC" like we have in Sweden.. Or ~5 FPE like in Germany
However I enjoyed the video like always Aaron ❤🔥
Hey Aaron I agree in many scenarios they would be effective. But, you have to be very familiar with your tool. The stealth of smaller pcp’s is a huge advantage in many prepper scenarios. Another advantage you can have is the adversary likely has done very little if any training. Of course it’s not my first choice. I have other options and I do some training with them. The new “Rattler .35”, Leshy 2, and a few like them would be great choices for what you’re talking about. The optic on it would make a huge difference for say a dark space at close range.
Not crazy at all. Factually possible, and effective. Subbed.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video.
Very real world approach to using these types of options for
self defense. Great collection of airguns brother.
Most of my airguns are for recreational activities.
That said, I do have less lethal airguns options along with my firearms
for self defense. I added less lethal airguns to my self defense system,
because I realized not every self defense encounter required a lethal response.
Although the airguns you showcased are basically the equivalent to
firearms and would be good alternatives for those who would a firearm and
for whatever reason, can't or don't have access to one.
Appreciate your input.
Good to see another Michigander doing what you do to promote
self defense for law abiding citizens.
Stay safe and healthy.

Well done I really enjoyed the presentation of the video 👍
hey Aaron , i wanted to let you know , i specialize in modding umarex HDP.50 cal , and the HDR .68 , can do the hdr.50 also . spend a 100 on marker , another 150 in high performance parts , let me file, fit , polish all internal and properly lube with pure silicone grease , gel and oil in different places , you will have a piece that puts out 39 to 42.93 joules , awesome less lethal home or personal self defense weapon !!! for home defense i recommend a quicker dot type sight or just plain sights . head shots , especially through the eye is fatal , with airguns ,but with the less lethal modded markers ,center mass will break bones and put em down , can shoot pepper balls too !!!
😂😂💀just dnt let them shoot your air tank😂😂you are right,it would definitely end badly
I guess I have been out of the loop lately. Just heard of the AEA HP SS+ and the Evanix rexp. Boy they are two bad ass guns. Thanks for informing me about them.
You can say the same thing about getting your Magwell shot that'll put an end to your shooting It just want to explode like an air tank
@@jumpkickman1993 Thanks
You are right. It’s not a crazy idea. They are certainly capable of being used for home defense. My problem with the idea though is that they are simply not reliable enough for my comfort in such a scenario. My Benjamin bulldog is certainly capable of being used for home defense, but it has sat for the last year or more without me using it. I have no idea if a seal has gone bad. I will have to check it before I use it next. My Walther 9 mm has been sitting for a couple of years, loaded and ready to go. I have no questions about it being ready to use if needed.
Regular training & testing are pillars of Home Defense 👍
Change the O rings once a year. That can't be an issue any longer now.
I have liked and subscribed! Awesome content!

First timer here, I have a house here in Panama. I like your presentation and I agree with your opinion on the video. I will check you out further.
I'd rather use a pointy stick or an actually functional firearm.
@@Mr._Chunk I hope that pointy stick is a magic wan. Best of luck.
Great break down on the pcp guns. And how affective its one is. Good video
Great 👍 video I've just recently got into pcp. I have 2 9mm hand guns but loving the pcp rifles
Thanks.

Your right brother, WE must protect ourselves, the cops and government can NOT,,!
Great video about these type of guns. I'm not allowed to own a fire arm in my country but can own a PCP rifle or pistol.
My question is if you can store these guns pressurized? If so, fully or partly pressurized.
So just for the fun of it, have you done ballistics with your airguns (like shooting a coconut or ballistic gel) to see how well they penetrate?
I feel like I’m chilling with my uncle watching you lol thanks for the help

Thank you Sir,, you area realist,,,,and have the info, knowledge , thanks,,
A practically silent .22 pushing 60ft pounds is enough to dispatch any human being on the planet given proper shot placement. If you consider a 50 grain .30 cal pellet moving 800fps, no skull or rib or forearm or Tibia is going to stand up to it. Shatter bone, fracture skull, all quieter than a hand clapping.
Hi ! Could you please write the names of these guns in the description or else? Thank you
I would suggest to anyone that's using a PCP for home defense to get at least a 30 cal, 357 preferably in semi-automatic bullpup for better maneuverability.
@@bluewater454 That is a beautiful thing for sure however they are considered firearms in some states.
Thanks.
@@aaroncantrell8819 Wow! Cutting off the light is excellent strategy.
Light a fire with a rattler , sidewinder or sk
RHK
Auto like your AEA is why I really think this is possible. Thanks for watching.
I agree that it would work... But do you always leave your PCP pumped up and loaded? Cause, how will you know in enough time to ready your PCP?
I was actually thinking more about catching game to feed myself in the event that ammo is hard to get . I guess pellets could be hard to get to but easier to make then powder shells
Have you ever tried to keep a pcp by your bedside until the next day and did the air stay in the bottle of your air gun?
AEA Zeus is a real monster but slow to reload. Semi auto pcp is useful for home defence
A quiet pcp rifle with a good suppressor and thermal scope could be a more deadly killer on the battlefield.. you won’t even hear your buddy dying near you ..
My man is funny as hell! Any .25 cal at 600+ feet is deadly.
How well do these hold air. My concern is a deleted air tank.
I'm a totally newbie to this conversation...the 2nd one? what is it? actually, what are any of 'em?
That was a damn great comment. 😂
Too many factors but definitely have a few that would make someone think twice about the mistake their about to make . R att Ler or sk.without a doubt
I had never heard of the evanix rexp 9mm. I just looked it up and it is bad ass. Congratulation on getting such a cool looking gun. Thanks.

Thanks.
Ken we want you to start making videos again my friend so please start making them with your awesome guns.

Well that all sounds good, my question is how long can you leave your PCP LYING AROUND FULLY CHARGED. Seems to me that you will wear out the seals.
I have a hatsan blitz 30cal which I have not shot for about 5 months and it is still fully charged. Same thing with my huben k1 25 cal.
My friend, I totally agree with you. Air rifles of today are deadly! Most people doesn’t know this fact! The first thing they think is their grandparents BB gun. Some of these rifles are pushing 1000-1100 fps and more! These people don’t know what an air rifle can do now and the power it has!
Great video!

what kind of pcp's are these ?
My only concern w pcp home defense is air pressure storage in these guns . I may not use this regularly for home defense but when I do need to pick it up I want all the pressure .......
then you want a unregulated pcp.my sabers had 2000 lbs of air in it over a year, never lost a single psi.pcps with regulators ive heard have had issues with seals.dont seem to be the case with unregulated ones.
Do you know someone who has been hit with one and asked for another?

There are PCP rifles with 200 joules of muzzle energy out on the market today. Someone here stated that it only takes 60 joules to kill a person.
I just learned from a comment that the .357 Rattler semi auto fires 81gr. JSB pellets at over 1,000 and a 174 gr. slugs at 800 fps. That is a lot higher than 60 joules. PCPs are getting scary. Thanks for the information and for watching.

@@benkelley551 That sounds like a great setup. Thank you for sharing with me. best of luck.

Perforate the hell out of someone's liver..?... and they are going to the hospital quickly , or not at all!
You can bleed to death in 1 minute through the femeral artery.
" Hold your fire till you see the hair on their junk... Or something like that."
The guy with really thick glasses is still waiting...
.22 cal slugs moving around 700-800fps is about 30-45 ft-lbs of energy. Pretty much a .22 short which was made for self-defense in a BUG
Thanks for that information.
Some felons can own a firearm, if it's non violent or not drug related. Most still can.
Full auto c02 offerings and large caliber PCP offerings are the go to for home defense and being a felon. Crossbows are effective too.
Agreed a break barrel would do with the right shot placement but as you already said a good semi auto would be the better choice, I'm planning on getting a Hatson Invader in 22 for me that's the one but I don't have access to powder burners can't have one
That is the nice thing about PCPs every one can have one. I hope that never changes. Best of luck with your Invader PCP.
@@aaroncantrell8819 👍Take Care my friend
Check out my video called: Are My PCPs in Danger? Thanks.
I did not think of the air shotgun for home defense. The Wingshot would do very well. Thanks.
