    Next time, be sure to NOT point the gun at a person! You swept the barrel at Terry (he held his hand out at the barrel to try to block it). Obviously it was unintentional, but it is one of the Cardinal Rules of firearm safety- Treat EVERY firearm as if were loaded and ALWAYS keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction....

As it should be. Many Americans, including myself, believe all gun laws are an infringement of our rights, because the right to bear arms was written into our constitution. We, as Americans, are supposed to be a well regulated militia capable of overthrowing our government if and when necessary. That’s why many find these rights very sacred, and why you can obtain one so easily.

    I highly recommend going to a gun store where their job is a more professional setting, reason I say that is because you will find more knowledgeable people who may have a vested interest in offering information to better inform you of any question you may have. It depends where you go and such, but gun stores will offer soo much information if you ask and they love to give it if you ask nicely. Rental ranges where you can pay to test a specific weapon on their range supervised, and these folks will offer basic fundamentals to operating a weapon safely.
    They will even explain in great detail as why gun laws are the way they are in some states, why we have a second amendment and the fundamental importance of this right. Just letting you know people who work in the area of the firearms industry are more than happy to explain this kind of stuff to new people. Also, don't mind the people who have to point out everything you do wrong. Those people can't physically help them selves from doing that, I've spent enough time hanging out at the gun stores in Texas to know it's one of the safest places you can be and there's a certain level of trust that is established and maintained between customers and the staff. Also, it's pretty entertaining just to hang around and see what people talk about in my opinion. Nothing wrong with good ole walmart, just that their staff aren't exactly paid to sell guns and walmart generally discriminates against tactical weapons, mostly youth weapons for smaller people and basic hunting weapons, however it's not a bad place to get an affordable weapon for hunting season. The reason a gun store is cool is because you will see the supporting equipment a lot of gun owners use, like holsters and belts, and even a variety of parts and accessories.

    • @sergiosbudgettravelsshorts

      @@sergiosbudgettravelsshortsyea you definitely should have went to a gun range. Shoot any gun you want. I'm from Missouri. We can carry guns just like Montana it's called a constitutional carry state. Which means you don't need permits or anything. It's in the American Constitution that people have the right to bear arms. So some states go by the constitution and some don't. In which you would need a permit to carry. I got different color handguns for each outfit I choose that day lol. I live in one of the most dangerous cities in America, St.louis Missouri. In New Jersey you have to have what's called an FID. You have to go through several background checks in order to receive it as a resident in the state. You even need it for BB guns. If you go to a gun store and ask to see a gun they will check for your FID before they let you hold the firearm. (Firearms ID). Purchasing a firearm in New Jersey takes about a week on average for your background check to be completed. So you would go into the store provide your firearms ID card fill out the form and then wait until the store calls you to tell you your background check is good so you can pick up your firearm. Then you go back to the store and pay to get your firearm, (providing your FID again). There are 10 round limits on magazines in New Jersey, as well as many other restrictions that don't exist in other states in the United States. With all of the extra precautions and laws New Jersey has some of the highest crime cities in America. These laws change nothing. We have a people problem not a gun problem.

    • @redonk1740
      @redonk1740 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree with the sentiment but I wouldn't say they change nothing. For example, Carol Bowne was murdered by her ex while waiting for permission from the government to purchase a firearm. The laws didn't stop him from killing her, but they stopped a law abiding citizen from having a chance to protect herself. Overly restrictive firearms laws aren't just annoying, they actually have real world consequences.

    • @MrSloika
      @MrSloika 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The waiting period is for handguns. If you have an FID and want to buy a rifle or shotgun, you go to the store, present your FID and DL, fill out the 4473 and pay for the NICs. If all is well, you pay for the rifle or shotgun and take it home. With a handgun you need a FID AND a seperate permit to purchase the handgun. You need one permit for each handgun you want to buy. Want two handguns? You need two handgun purchase permits. You do the NICs, 4473 and then wait 7 days to pick up the handgun/s.

    • @19kUSA
      @19kUSA 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrSloika with handguns you have to apply for the handgun permit first ($50app going by up to $100 in 2025)... And wait til it's approved. You can only buy 1 handgun every 30 days. Longguns are as many and as often as you want, but you RARELY take home same day. I've NEVER had a same day approval in NJ. However, in VA, GA, NC, nd PA I have.

You can shoot all the guns you see in the movies and video games it costs about $15 or so to rent the gun plus the price of ammo (ammo you have to buy there if you are renting the gun there but they're usually relatively inexpensive if it's a reputable big range in a firearm friendly state like North Carolina, Texas and etc) It's a fun experience even if you don't agree with them and don't think people should own them without restrictions it's a safe environment to get the experience of shooting one so you can further understand them and you can tell your friends you got to shoot at a range. Hi Sergio!
    To answer some of your questions you had for Terry and he somewhat answered them…
    A shotgun can come in multiple different ways, the one you saw was a pump, typically hold 5 shells, you asked about shells and that’s what he showed you first, shells hold bbs on the inside at a ton of different sizes but are very similar to the ones you may have shot with a BB gun, however they shoot very very fast and a lot of them. There is a tube in the shotgun where the pump slide is where you hold with ur front hand and that’s where the cartridges go in. He made the distinction a couple times between shotgun and center fire rifle however the shotgun shell is a center fire which just means that the primer(device that starts the explosion, similar to what’s in a cap gun) is being struck in the middle of the shell/cartridge. Going back to the shotguns in order to get one in the chamber unless one is already in, you pull back the slide and push it forward, if a used or unused shell was in the chamber it would fling out and u would have a fresh one in the chamber from your tube. You seemed interested in the center fire or what you said was normal looking, those are used for many different things but many of the larger rounds here in the US are for hunting like the .300 win mag, 30-06 rem, 6.5 creed, all of these are talking about the size of the cartridge and bullet so people can choose what fits their gun and game they are hunting. Center fire ammunition typically is more powerful meaning it goes faster, in many cases above 2000 feet per second.
    Hope that helps and if u have any more questions I’d be more than happy to answer :)

    I'd like to apologize for the comment section on behalf of all Americans. A lot of us worship firearms, it's like a religious cult. It's remarkable how so many people interpreted this video as a personal offense and it upset them.
