THIS IS SO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!! I learned so much about mtb just from watching you take it apart and put it back together. Thanks for making this content!! You're the dopest.
Nha man, literally yesterday on Reddit someone talked about your channel I was like: I really miss his content, hope he comes out with a new build soon! And there you are! Awesome work as usual mate
Hey love your projects and from what I can see love your CRX even more!! Do you have any video reviews of it? I have a 91 civic also in Tahitian green pearl ✌️
haha! The CRX belongs to my brother and its currently not running 😒. I do however drive a 91 civic hatch back also!! all bone stock, maybe I'll do a video on that too.
Bro I just bought the same bike and just started to restore it. Glad I came across your video. Excellent build up you made 🙏 Question, I'm thinking about making mine a mullet. What size fork would you recommend. Thanx for the inspiration and ideas 💡 🙌
Thank you, I was thinking somewhat along the same line but im fairly new into the mountain bike scene so I rather ask a professional before I make a decision lol. Going to follow you on Instagram and later on show you when i finish the bike. Thanx again and have a good week bro! 🙌
Nice build! How is the chainline when in the largest cog, any problems there? was expecting you to put the chainring in the middle position of the crank .. but perhaps frame clearance is an issue there.
Thanks! Great question, I didn’t show it but the chain line definitely needed to be adjusted so I ended up moving the chainring into the middle ring mounts and worked out perfect. As for the tire clearance, I ended up changing the tires three times due to rubbing on the cross brace in the rear!
A hundred bucks lol. I break bikes for parts for a living. Once I'd stripped it down, cleaned all the parts, taken my pics, and written some concise listings with worldwide shipping on my well established ebay account, I'd make.. Well, I wont say, you people wont believe me, but the profit percentage is healthier than just about any business you could name. This is why I do this. Nice job BTW 🤙
Im a roadie bike Ryder, but after seen this video I’m looking for a mountain bike…..what’s the model of this bike…..love it and good job…MTB bike amico..
100$! Wow, The parts on that bike are worth way more than that - dt swiss rims, xt cranks etc... Nice colour scheme. I used the same microshift 1x10 on my rebuilds. Quick Question.. are you still doing the handlebar bags? I was going to buy one when I got back to the US but it seems yu don't have any.
aye tomi love the builds if you are every near Freemont you should come by EVO Seattle; I work over in the bike sales department and would love to try and get you connected with some of our bicycle related community outreach programs here in Seattle :) Peace and love my brother - Anders
First off, that’s the worst paint job I ever seen, second you take off the XT group set to put that micro shift garbage, not to mention trading the Cane Creek headset for the Origin 8. SMH

Great to see you're back and putting out a new video!!!👍
Feels good to be back! Thanks for sticking around 👍
@@CowboyTomi You bet. Love your vids!!
Just discovered your channel a few days ago and am loving all the rebuilds. Keep up the great work and keep creating content for us to enjoy!
Thank you! Cheers!
I always watch these videos right away. Unreal content and build Tomi!
Thank you!!!
Great video showing the entire process and great mods so far. Personally I would have invested in getting it professionally painted from a shop.
Thank you! Fair enough!
Dude, CRX Si! I had a tuned ‘89 CRX Si BITD. Great video.
Such a fun car! Thanks!
Great Re-build Tomi, hope to see more in the coming winter months. 👍
Thank you! There’s definitely more comin up!
Have you ridden from Hyak west through the tunnel to North Bend/Rattlesnake Lake. fun ride, great views.
I love that ride! We bikepack that trail every year during summer and end up at Lake Easton. the tunnel is definitely my favorite part!
$100! Great components even parting it out!
Thanks for yet another quality video!
Such a dope build. I got a 2005 giant reign 3 and am planning on getting it up and running. Inspiring bro
Long time no see buddy!
Great to see you.
yes, it’s been awhile! Thank you for sticking around!

Would be a pleasure to see Cowboy Tomi's vintage car collection
Sweet CRX! My first car was one just like that.
Thanks! It's my brothers, but i do drive a 91 civic hatchback that's completely stock!
Bro I just bought the same bike and just started to restore it. Glad I came across your video. Excellent build up you made 🙏
Question, I'm thinking about making mine a mullet. What size fork would you recommend. Thanx for the inspiration and ideas 💡 🙌
Amazing! I would go with a fork for a 27.5 wheel. it’ll probably be a 100-120mm travel, which is fine.
Thank you, I was thinking somewhat along the same line but im fairly new into the mountain bike scene so I rather ask a professional before I make a decision lol.

Hi ! Nice video ! I'm planning to restore the same bike model.
where did you buy the Santa Cruz decals?
Thanks for your video
Thank you! I made them on my cricut vinyl cutter
I have an 2007 I was wanting to rebuild and I found your video, awesome! I love it. Did you need to change the length of bottom bracket ?
Thank you! I didnt need to change the bottom bracket either!
Nice build! How is the chainline when in the largest cog, any problems there? was expecting you to put the chainring in the middle position of the crank .. but perhaps frame clearance is an issue there.

I’ve never rattle canned a bike before so on video they always look good but how well do they look in person up close?
A hundred bucks lol.

This is why I do this.
Nice job BTW 🤙
Thank you!
Tastefully done all over you always have an interesting lineup from different eras
Thanks! What can I say, when I see a bike that just looks fun and needs a good TLC - i’m gettin after it!
That’s awesome that you worked there! I wonder if maybe we saw each other and didn’t realize haha. Maybe I’ll see u around since ur in the south end
Yeah, we probably did cross paths haha! Stop by again and maybe we’ll catch each other!
how do you clean the small components like washers, bolts, etc.?
I used white lightning degreaser then follow up with warm water and soap! then re-grease on whatever needs it!
Sweet love it. Wish I could find something like that for $100. I built a Bullit frame I got on eBay but that was $300. Nice video
Thanks!! Nice!
Sick bike 🤘
Thank you!
God that bike is a Masterpiece
Thank you!
Im a roadie bike Ryder, but after seen this video I’m looking for a mountain bike…..what’s the model of this bike…..love it and good job…MTB bike amico..
Thank you! This is a 2008 Santa Cruz Blur XC
Nice CRX!
Do u think this is actually worth it, or should I just buy a dirt jumper
It was definitely worth it, I've taken it some so many great downhill mtb trails!
Yeah I know! Crazy, shout out to Bikeworks! Yes we are currently out of handlebar bags, gonna make another run of lunch box shaped ones soon!
wow hard AF boiiiiiii!!!
Thanks brudder!!!!

Thank you! I’d love to! let me know of any details!
that CRX Si though 😮
You should put a shimano alfine hub gears and a belt drive on the bike. Would be amazingly unique!
That’d definitely be very unique especially on a full suspension from 2008 🤣
@@CowboyTomi Yep 😄 however there are full sus belt drive kits 😀
I would have kept the XT hydraulic brakes, they're excellent.
100$ what a steal.
I got so lucky!
Good vid..new sub.
We need a video of the CRX
It definitely needs a full video!
How much did you spend?
The pandemic bike bubble is still in force where I live. Prices are almost more than when new. It is hard to find deals.
how much for the crx
not for sale!
Nice bike build but need to put some real brakes on it in one day !
Yeah I still have the original Deore xt hydraulic brake calipers that will go back on eventually!
Y así, señores, es como se estropea un bicicletón....
First off, that’s the worst paint job I ever seen, second you take off the XT group set to put that micro shift garbage, not to mention trading the Cane Creek headset for the Origin 8. SMH
slava cocaina color bike :D
