He is destroyed by Hulkenberg (who himself is losing against a 19yo rookie) and previously he was slower race pace wise than Mick Schumacher. Out-qualified by Grosjean as well btw, with slower race pace. Magnussen is an unbelievably overrated driver.
@@quentinhirschfeld9382 Well that depends on year to year as well unless u mean overall because then it's not a blowout and Grosjean is a great driver. 9 podiums with the 6th-8th fastest car, 1 with like the 11th fastest on pace at Spa. @@thekingmansplainer6813 1) Grosjean is NOT a great driver. @@thekingmansplainer6813 I love how your response is purely emotional with absolutely no proof whatsoever to contradict my points which are backed. -No, Grosjean isn't a great driver by F1's standards and his career proves (you didn't even bother to explain why he is, which is the ultimate proof that you don't have argument). A driver who has bad awareness, no matter how quick he is (and as i've mentionned, Grosjean is just averagely quick without a very specific set up), is not a great F1 driver PERIOD. He was a danger to the whole grid because of his atrocious decision making and because, just like Stroll, he didn't knew what was going on around him half the time. In Indycar, he hasn't been able to finish a single time on the TOP 10 of the drivers' standing and this season he has done absolutely nothing, except provoking dangerous incidents. -Give me a single time Grosjean extracted more from the car than its potential. Spa 2015 should've been a disqualification as Lotus used illegal engine settings (and the Lotus was bloody fast that weekend, even Maldonado could've been in the match for the podium without his engine blowing up). He benefited from a poor strategic decision from Ferrari as well + the mechanical DNF of Ricciardo + Williams pulling off a disaster with Bottas. -Hulkenberg got comfortably beaten by an old Barrichello, was neck and neck with Pérez and beaten by an off-prime Ricciardo. He is a late braker type driver but without the range of inputs of a Lewis Hamilton. He is indeed nothing special for an F1 driver (0 podium record may i recall, most of the time he bottled opportunities himself) and Bearman, a 19yo, proved it.
I really like the videos, but there's a bit of inconsistency. In the Hulkenburg video you said he brakes later than Magnussen and carries more speed mid-corner, but now you're saying Magnussen brakes later than Hulkenburg and carries more mid-corner speed. Could you clarify, please?
I think he was analyzing a qualifying session at Imola for that video, in which Hulkenberg did brake later. Most drivers seem to take corners differently depending on the car, track, setup, etc. So Hulkenberg probably does brake earlier most of the time, but probably brakes late in quali.

IMO oversteer.
