For those still trying to become Nomads and having trouble finding an affordable van or motorhome don't give up. There are other alternatives that Bob has discussed... Dig through his forum and videos and you will find what you are looking for. Becoming a camp host might work for you? As a camp host you could use a hot tent and have your car which can give you the comfort you might want. Keep on keeping on and believe in yourself!
Thanks for the encouragement! Some of us have been working all through the pandemic and still dream of van life and seek a reliable and affordable vehicle when life aligns to go for it.
No build is the best way to build for myself. Fast, easy and affordable. Love the simplicity. 💙 to the lady and good luck for the next steps of her life. Hello from France. 👋
I love that you kept wide open space for your dog to truly lay out. So many people show a small spot for their large dog.. and i always feel so sorry for them. Love this.
She did a great job on her van. I really like her simple and easy sink set-up and, I have been pondering several ways to build mine and I think I will use her idea. She looks like she is really enjoying herself, as does everyone Bob interviews. I wish her safe travels.
With both of my kids having been in scouts when they were growing up (and living in an area that knows hurricanes) I have an absolute TON of various camping equipment. I plan on doing my best to incorporate as much of it as possible when I get a van.
Except I'm really trying to find the cheapest route to get my top done so I can stand up. I'm on disability and my husband left me because of that and I have no extra money, so I'm trying so hard to get everything together, I've been selling everything i personally own. I've been watching your show for 2 years and I've got so much useful info from y'all and I thank you from the bottom of my heart
Your ex wasn't worthy of you. Now you can live life on your terms. Keep moving forward, stay positive and it will all come together for you. You can do this Melissa!!
This woman has a great disposition. Her enthusiasm generates positive vibes. Great job with this build too. I watched this video and afterwards I felt a jolt of energy for my future traveling! Thank You Bob for this video! Cheryl Thank you for your home tour and sharing your experience with all that are watching!
This diy is a very nice home. I really like bringing the outdoors inside. Yes, it has inspired me bc I have always liked the windows over the closed in cargo vans.
Wow! This is really a “cheap” way to go! I love that you put all the links to all the items you discussed in your description. If I ever go back to the Amazon, I’m taking one of those toilets with me! Great job, Cheryl, you have been very innovative!
We just want to be in a community that is as nice and helpful as we are. You can't choose your neighbors in a stix-n-brix neighborhood, so sometimes you end up next to a negative, hateful person that brings your whole life down. Life is too short for that kind of existence.
Sheryl is a smart lady and doing what she wants to do and really enjoying it. I love that toilet and would like to order one if I knew where she got it. Thanks Bob for another great video. From Central Oklahoma
The gallon for gray water under the sink takes up unnecessary space. I watched another vanlifer and he doesn't have any gallon for used water. Instead used water just goes out his van (ingenious). So all gallons in his van are clean water.
I have since learned this. LOL It is amazing what we think we need but find out later are just not practical. I have ditched the sink and just use the wash basin and toss method now.
I'll get there eventually nomadding. I started out camping in my car because I could not afford hotel rooms. That was just sometimes on weekends. I loved it so much in a car I want to go to a van. I will be with a cat and a couple of dogs so I need a bit more space and also to take my jewelry making with me to sell.
I really liked seeing Cheryl’s creative build, and listening to her no-nonsense style! She’s very practical and savvy and is sure to make this P.T. nomad lifestyle work well for her. I hope she’s able to sell her quilt shop soon and have one less responsibility on her plate. 👍😊☮️🌟
I believe that I like the openness better. You can see all around you. I don't like closed in places. It's simple as well. It's not a bunch of complicated issues.
I need more info about that sink set up! It looks really doable. Right now I just plan to use a collapsible tub that I rinse/wash out when I do the dishes and dump the gray water once the dishes are done. If I could have an actual gray water setup, that would likely be a heck of a lot easier, though.
Thanks Bob and Cheryl for the video. That is a really nice setup Cheryl. My wife and I talk about getting a van and doing a minimal build out. This certainly gave me some ideas.
Hello cheryl, my name is Bonnie or Bonnie n Klyde on you tube. I to am from Washington state, the spokane area. Its nice to see a washingtonian on here. I think ur the 1st ive seen from Wa. Your van is great! Youve done a wonderful job with it. Maybe one day our paths will cross. Until then, Be safe, stay well and God bless !
Love her van easy build out and lots of space. I’m glad to hear nice things about Quartzite because I watched one TH-camr make comments that it is full of old white racist. I of course unsubscribed to her channel because of negativity. Everyone seems so friendly when you interview them. Thx for another great video.
She is able to have minimal stuff because she doesn't live in the van full-time. She packs what she needs for that trip when she leaves and then she comes home to her fully stocked house.
Great job on the build. Only thing I would change: get rid of the particle board-- it has formaldehyde in it. Wouldn't want to breathe in the off- gassed formaldehyde in that space.
What a Great video! Contents and the guest being so relatable make a great video, and Cheryl did her part! Super nice camp set up! Super nice lady! Enjoy your adventure!
Total Blackout Window Film: 100% Light Blocking Film with White Sides - Heat Resistant, Room Darkening, Static Cling Film for Privacy & Day Sleep - No Residue, Stops UV, Easy Removal (17.5 x 160 in.). Purchased on Amazon. Link in description of video.
she is a awsome lady nice to see enjoying herself when she said she was from Wa state Ithought no wonder she is so nice that is where I live now lol... nice Interview with her also .
Great build! I had a similar van, I also used Harbor Freight solar, well worth it. As for being in an accident, my van got T-boned by a dump truck and yes I lost a lot of stuff because it wasn’t fastened better.

How kind you are, Shaun Hall. Thank you.
Knock on doors with junkers outside, you never know who is holding onto something you value, seeking to get rid of it
A pickup truck with a large camper shell can be another option.
Been traveling up and down New Zealand, met a 93 year woman driving a Class B, totally amazing, sometimes when you get on the road you keep traveling
Thanks for the encouragement! Some of us have been working all through the pandemic and still dream of van life and seek a reliable and affordable vehicle when life aligns to go for it.
I love that she thinks outside the box function over form
Thanks for the shout out of my channel Cheryl. I loved meeting you when you were down in Southern California. Safe travels.
It’s great to see a passenger van that someone is living out of. So many builds are windowless boxes. Hers feels really open and comfortable.
Some of us need to be more stealth (less windows). I hv a 2013 Transit Connect, and I don't feel clostriphobic👍
2:41 but by😢
Windows leak air/heat. Easy to break into and also stealth.
No build is the best way to build for myself. Fast, easy and affordable. Love the simplicity. 💙 to the lady and good luck for the next steps of her life. Hello from France. 👋
👀 I see your Thieves hand soap! So happy to see an “oily” friend on the road! ❤
Love the windows of a passenger van + the high top. She's got everything she needs.
I like how she set up her van. It looks light & airy. The 2 night stands for the kitchen counter is a great idea! Love it!
Love that awning which makes her camping space special and cozy.
I love that you kept wide open space for your dog to truly lay out. So many people show a small spot for their large dog.. and i always feel so sorry for them. Love this.
I think that was Bob’s dog, Cody 😀
That was Cody what a ham!

Yes, so many thrift stores have night stands like that and it'd be very cheap to find a counter top.
With both of my kids having been in scouts when they were growing up (and living in an area that knows hurricanes) I have an absolute TON of various camping equipment. I plan on doing my best to incorporate as much of it as possible when I get a van.
It was her shower that impressed me. Absolute simplicity, with more space than most purpose built RV's provide.
Except I'm really trying to find the cheapest route to get my top done so I can stand up. Excellent! Break free from the chains!
*Glad she’s enjoying herself*
This summer I will be camping in my Subaru Impreza for months. I’ve done it before it’s awesome.
Between the high top and how she set up the bed, there's so much storage and a beautifully open space.
I like how she invested in a Hightop. That cd be a deal breakervwhen living in a van. Super neat
Great build! Need to insert something between mattress and board to allow “breathing” or it will get bad...should google it.
Excellent interview and tour. Keeping it simple - this is my take away. ❤
This diy is a very nice home. I really like bringing the outdoors inside. Yes, it has inspired me bc I have always liked the windows over the closed in cargo vans.
Very good video interesting van
You can tell she's a quilter! She's generalized her talent in amazing ways- very impressive!
I like how open and light it is.
These free spirits are very inspiring!
Most economical shower solution I have seen!
She is so great. No pretense, bs, just function... The jack stand under the bed is so perfect!
Thank u for sharing ur home...you did a super job...your a wonderful example for us. Some many ideas
Wow! This is really a “cheap” way to go! I love that you put all the links to all the items you discussed in your description. If I ever go back to the Amazon, I’m taking one of those toilets with me! Great job, Cheryl, you have been very innovative!
Driving stresses me out. Getting lost triggers my anxiety. I don’t get bored at home. I like having a routine. Nomads are a different breed.
I love these simple basic van builds!! ✌🏻
I love this kind of vids, I love vans because the green future is now

Like the set up, cheap and functional. Love the high top addition.
Great mentality 👏 "don't let things control your life" and yes, van life is habit forming 💓
I love this style of Cribs!
Clever and thrifty! Well done.
Another tour! My favorite kind of video. Would have loved to see how she cooks and how she uses her "garage" under the bed.
Such a sweet lady and she has some good ideas that I have made note of!
I love her setup and she's giving me two or three ideas bless her
Very smart lady with all her great ideas!
Be safe out there, just don't trust no one who you just met. Safe trip.
Sheryl is a smart lady and doing what she wants to do and really enjoying it. I love that toilet and would like to order one if I knew where she got it. Thanks Bob for another great video. From Central Oklahoma
I hope you got the update 😊 happy camping!!!
Nice lady! Love her van! I always enjoy your interviews Bob!
Ok, that collapsible toilet is really cool!
Regarding the collapsing toilet, how much body weight does it hold up?
@@KennethByers-w2j She said 300# but I've seen some similar to it that go up to 450#.
This is very nice! I love the nightstand idea for the counter build... and the windows. The floor jack hack is really clever! Happy camping. 😀
Love your set up, Thank you for sharing your build.
Learned " commercial swivel " my 96 Aerostar needs that.
Great interview and tour Bob x
The nuts container is a game changer 😂 brilliant
I love how practical her choices were.
She's going to go full time, can't wait to see her 6 months from now. Great job 👏

Great 🏡. I've never seen a collapsible toilet...that is awesome. Love the nightstands being converted to kitchen cabinets & counter ❤
Good job, smart van build.
Fellow Washingtonian Nomad here.
Safe travels!
I really enjoyed this video I love her high top it's amazing how her van seemed so much bigger
Been missing you in van tours I love watching you do the van tours makes me want to really get out there and go and do it
I feel I belong to such life for myself.
Love your home on wheels and how you take care of your doggie.

She has so much room, very nice.
Really liked what she did with her van. I think getting a low top and a fiber I even top makes so much sense. Great video Bob!
That potty gives sit still new meaning 😮 I love that Van though!!!
Hey Cheryl, when you said you were from Vancouver I had to reply. I’m from Abbotsford and looking for travel buddies in the future.
Actually, from Nothern Alberta, residing in Central Washington state.
I luv what she did with the windows, very smart.
Great job. Thank you for sharing your home on wheels.
Such a positive person, well done, enjoy
Thanks Bob and Cheryl for the video. That is a really nice setup Cheryl. My wife and I talk about getting a van and doing a minimal build out. This certainly gave me some ideas.
She has all you need!
I always love seeing these easy builds 👍🏼 Gives me lots of Great Ideas for next Van Build 🥰👍🏼 Great Video LOVE HER SET UP ❤❤ THANKS GUYS 🥰🪶
I like it when, with his experience, something is new to him. You never stop learning
Became a part timer with no modifications in my current SUV well I did take the backseats out so happy to find you and can’t wait to watch this
Nice job and she seems like a fun person to hang out with.
Her sewing skills would be a welcome thing in the van life community. She needs to get the word out and I bet she could make some pocket money.
Wish her more happy travels and blessings❤
Thank you for sharing. Hope to meet you all one day. This is the way of life I'd like to live. Planning 🚐😁 safe travels

Love her van easy build out and lots of space.

So many great ideas thank you Cheryl
Simply lovely build!
Where's your quilt shop?
Seriously :)
Grand Coulee WA. Quail Run Quilts
Really love the simplicity of this setup.
Nice open area minimal stuff something many people appreciate. Would like more info on the collapsible basket.
She is able to have minimal stuff because she doesn't live in the van full-time. She packs what she needs for that trip when she leaves and then she comes home to her fully stocked house.
This is one of my favorite videos in a while. I see myself in Cheryl. Can't wait to go.

What was name of white vinyl coverings on windows? Where did you get them?
Advise that you strap down your refer and night stand cabinet.

Absolute lovely nomad spirit and van. I watched the whole video.
