@@vicsminiatures7949 nothing at all. I built this kit a while back and I was going on and on about not putting the luggage rack mine came with on it. Rambler69 and I would give each other a hard time about putting luggage racks on different builds after that. Then Chris here (C.D. Scale) built the kit and Tom was encouraging the luggage rack and I was saying don't do it! haha. He put it on in a lapse of judgement but now whenever we see this kit being built we kid each other about the luggage rack.
Though you had problems at first it sure turned out very nice. It does seem to be a common problem with a lot of AMT kits to fit properly on the chassis.
Really nice paint job I also like the choice of having a different blue in the interior was that to match a stock look? This was before I was born but I love the stingrays definitely nifty or groovy and outta site 🕺
Thanks Palmer. I looked at some photos on line and I liked the blue on blue. It just worked out this way for the interior and exterior color. Happy Accident.
What a beauty! That blue is a great colour - top paint job. I'd display it with the bonnet open - it seems a shame to cover the engine. A bit more fun than the Lindbergh kit anyway! 👍Cheers.
Beautiful color on that Corvette but I noticed that the hood is lighter than the body color and also the front balance underneath that you explain about the gaps I would probably glue that balance to the body and then with the hood put tape underneath the body so that the hood sits on the tape and when you're painting it you're going to paint everything all the same color and also the front end sits too high but other than that it's a beautiful paint job I love the interior really nice job just a little tip for you about the hood and underneath the pan where the bumper sits on
The reason the front end is all jacked up is, the front fender well is hanging out into the wheel opening! Pop off the bottom and insert it on the front tip of the car. Then it should straighten out.
Vette turned out really nice Vic!!!
Thanks Tim!
I love the old Vettes...nice build....love that body color 😁😁

Just about to finish this one. Did it in orange with tan interior. Nice kit that fits together nicely.
Orange is a great color for this car. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks. Yeah this is not the first time I've had fit issues with AMT kits.

Very cool build. Nice color choice and engine detail. Shame about the hood. But, completion over perfection. Take Care and Keep Building!👍👍
Thank you!!

Thank you Andrew. Leaving the hood open is an option.
It Came Out Looking Really Gooodd Vic. What Cleaner DID YOU Use to Strip the 2k Clear n Paint Please?? God Bless All.
Thank you Gary. It was called Strong Power and I picked it up at Auto Zone.
👍
Thanks

Does this need glue? Nothing mentioned on box
Yes, it needs glue
What is the name of the paint you used?
It is Splash Paints Nassau Blue
Thanks very much Vic
There is nothing wrong with the fit on the chassis…. Builder error!
Could be but I still had issues with it.
