I like how you called out the "solutions" that are bandied about but don't really work, at least not for most people. Doing the command at the end helped me too when I started seeing Rogue Amoeba notifications pop up. Thanks so much!
Hi Chris. Hands down, THE most annoying bug of both Ventura AND Sonoma! I thought upgrading to Sonoma would fix it, but even 14.1.1 couldn't make it go away. Then you came along with the Terminal hack. Which worked brilliantly! Thankyou! Running Sonoma 14.1.1 on a 2015 MBP (thank you, Opencore!)
Chris. So sorry to see this is an issue in this Mac OS version. The best advice I offer to people (advice I received from Larry Jordan many years ago and he still advises this), never upgrade to a new version of Mac OS right away.....NEVER!. Always wait for several .*** versions before upgrading. In fact, I personally wait one year. Sounds crazy but when Apple releases a new OS, that''s when I upgrade to the previous year's release. Hope you are doing well. Looking forward to many more videos from you this year!
This was exactly what I needed to eliminate the continual system notification of background processes, particularly Zoom US and also Slack helper updates every week! Thanks!
I haven't even watched your video yet ... still on the ads ... and SOOOOO excited to learn how to get rid of those annoying notifications! thanks in advance.
Question? Would you consider making a video of PixelShift X-T5 (160MP) vs GFX100? image quality comparison and if a gimmick or the real thing? When and how to use it etc? Thank you for making content for us!
It was helpful. The funny thing is that Apple's Brazilian support has no idea about this. This issue seems to be one of the most commented problem in the internet, and it has been treated as a pain in the s.
So I was having this bug on Ventura 13.1. After running this command, it re-enabled every launch agent I had ever had on the system included ones I had manually deleted and were no longer showing up in the settings. What it didn't do is fix the notification bug. I guess everyone's mileage may vary, but that was my experience.
Chris many thanks i was so fed up with these i was contemplating wiping everything, kept getting Spotify and Dropbox messages and I don’t even have these installed
Genius, why couldn't Apple tell us how you did this? I called about those issues and they had me deleting all that stuff from launch daemons without any benefit. Thanks much!
Thanks for explaining Chris. The terminal method didn't work for me so I contacted Apple, but they don't seem to be aware of this. FYI, I updated the system and it got rid of all pop ups.
Just tried this and the notifications still come in for me. Double checked each step before proceeding to the next. Does it make a difference that I was at 13.2.1?
Login Items. There’s so many background items I don’t recognize, such as 3XFPN, nbp, laser, etc. How can I find out what is needed to update frequently or what is important vs what I can turn off or even erase. Thanks
Not sure if it worked but fingers crossed. I didn’t have this problem until I installed Loopback and Audio Hijack from Rogue Amoeba and wow is it annoying!
Thank you very much, Chris. I didn´t find a solution till now. Quality management at Apple seems to go down. Steve Jobs was a perfectionist, Tim Cook wants to make money. No more innovation or visions. It is very sad.
Not really planning on installing Ventura anytime soon, but just curious how it works with LR and PS? I usually wait for each new release as it takes Adobe/Apple a bit to get things working as they should. Thanks!
I agree with you. I am also not planning to install Ventura on my MacBook 16”. But, I’m planning to get a new MacBook in the summer and I get stuck with Ventura then!
After getting a new Mac ( MacStudio) that comes preinstalled with OS Ventura i have no chance to downgrade ( at least that is what all specialists say) so i am tortured with this horrible MAC OS system! Lots of bugs i never had before from Mac os 7 onwards! Apple gets worse and worse indeed! Every new Update comes with announcements for new emoticons, color corrections in some in emoticons and other gimmicks so far and lots of resolving security problems. I wonder why Apple does this not find in previous versions other than MacOs X.13.95 or so? Thanks pal2tech, solution not tested yet, but i am relieved that i am not the only one suffering with this idiotic behaviour of notifications. Nice presentation and funny, yes, gave me another laugh!
do you have a solution for finder notification "disk not ejected properly"? no where on the internet that problem have solutions. every video shows just easy notification kill.
I probably don't understand what you are getting on about because there is a Notifications section in Settings in which you can turn all off or choose the apps that you want notifications from.
It doesn't matter if notifications are switched to 'never' at the top and every app listed is switched to 'no notifications' it spits these messages out anyway covering the right hand side of the screen. Even when you x them, more open and it becomes a whack a mole game. It's absolutely a bug not a misunderstanding of how to organise settings in mac.
The other big bug in 13.2 is that if you try and transfer files from on mac to another on your network - it doesn't work well anymore, hangs or causes Finder to freeze. sigh....
Weird. I don't have those popup-items. But it seems to me the last properly working version of macOS is version 11.x. Ever since the 12.0 upgrade my Intel Mac runs poorly and continues to crash a lot and have poor performance up to 13.2. Even after a complete reinstall.
Maybe you can tell me why my iMac has a difficult time running Facebook. I constantly get messages about it taking too much energy or being too large for the screen so when I try to click on something, it actually clicks on something else. So f**ing annoying.
In the meantime Windows 11 doesn't let me create software shortcuts to the desktop and whenever one shortcut disappears it's gone for good, I cannot find programs even though I know they are installed. This is driving me nuts 🤪 🤣👍👍👍
It's changed, now called Pin to Start. Click on the Windows Logo on the Taskbar, then All Apps. Scroll to the application you want, right click and select Pin to Start. It will be at the bottom of the Pinned list, so just drag it to where you want it to be and Bobs Your Uncle.
@@robertgrenader858 again Microsoft fixing what wasn't broken. Yeah, unfortunately I have programs that aren't even on the start list under all apps. Namely AMD software panel is installed, but it's nowhere to be found. I reinstalled it several times and no gives 😅.
By far the worse OS release by Apple so far. Riddled with bugs, hang ups, and just general sloppiness. I got rid of a lot of these by simply deleting lots of apps, the associated caches and preference panes associated with the app manually. I took ages and lost a lot of down time at work because of this. Will defo try the terminal option as I still get the Google one.
I don't like videos that tell me to type unexplained commands into Terminal. No one should follow this kind of blind instruction. You should have explained (as simply as possible) what the command and argument are and do.

I first tried the option in Finder, and it worked for me (so far). Thanks for the tips!
Thanks Chris , it really worked for me. I tried many things but finally your video helped. Thanks for your good work.
I always watch your channel but this time it's unbelievable that you solved that problem for me.... thank you really
Amazing! A way to get rid of these crazy notifications! Thank you Chris!
It worked for two of three notifications, but I still have one! omg this is so annoying. Thanks a lot! rather 1 than 3!
Thank you. This was driving me nuts.
Wow. It worked! I hope to see if it sticks, but so far so good. Thank you!
Chris, thank you for posting! This is helpful! BLESSINGS!
Finally. The Terminal command worked. Thank you.
Thanks a lot! First solution that finally fixed my problem! (the terminal command) Best regards :)
Thank you so much! I finally got rid of the annoying Rogue Amoeba notification.

Thank you, I think you solved the issue for me! I shoot Fuji and that's why I follow you but wow, I feel lucky you use Mac and had the same issue!
Oh my goodness this actually worked!! Liked n subscribed! 👍
Hey, the command line worked great!!!!🎉

Thanks, it did work using the terminal one!
I did what you suggested, still getting the notifications. It all started after downloading Norton Anti-Virus
Thanks for explaining Chris. The terminal method didn't work for me so I contacted Apple, but they don't seem to be aware of this. FYI, I updated the system and it got rid of all pop ups.
Hi, may I ask which OS version have you upgraded to? The terminal method didn't work for me either and I'm thinking about upgrading too.
Just tried this and the notifications still come in for me. Double checked each step before proceeding to the next. Does it make a difference that I was at 13.2.1?

Using AI, PS & LR on Ventura 13.1, working like a charm. Except for these notifications of course 😆

This is happening after I upgraded to Sonoma from Ventura, and the command + restart didn't work unfortunately.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi! I noticed that my Mac’s battery drains much faster since Ventura. Is there a fix for that?
Doesnt work. It just removes the startup items and then I just have to reopen them manually.
Thank you it worked to me
thank you. it worked. 😀
I’m running Ventura 13.2.1 and don’t get any of the pop up messages you have. Do you suppose they fixed the problem with the .1 update?
Either that, or somebody over in Cupertino out to get me! 😮
I’m impressed!
I tried literally everything in this video and the notifications still show up!
Have it with Sonoma beta 3. This fix didn't work
It worked . Tks
