@@luker2273 You're basing your barely coherent point on clean-slate attractive people which is vacuous. Their expectations arise from reinforcement, inductive reasoning. An attractive man that has grown up completely isolated from superficiality in the dense African jungles obviously has no expectations regarding compliments in relation to his looks.
That you interpreted my highlighting of unjustness to be a "dig" at your idolized dream partner is beyond me. Produce me another comment once you've past the mid-ride mark, ideally when your lovemaking session is finished and the resulting mess cleaned up.

I love the scent of pepper so Herod, Kalan, and Percival I really love from PDM. I also own Layton and Layton Exclusif so you know I like Parfums de Marly. The most complimented from PDM that I wear is actually Percival. Herod garners compliments on really cold, brisk days for me.
As for Roja Dove I would have to agree. Elysium was so hyped by the community that grabbing a bottle seemed worth it. Yet once I got to Bergdorf Goodman and smelled through the line, I decided that Danger would be the one I chose. Once I got a full wear I realized that although I love this fragrance, it had it's time and place for bringing it out. Not one compliment from Danger but I did purchase Roja Dove's Vetiver and I get compliments galore! I love the dry, green, paper like smell from the drydown.

It's hard to describe but on me it just smells super sexy. I'm a female and love, love, love it. I believe in wearing fragrance for me. I wear men's fragrances all the time and love them. Thank you for making this video. I'm glad I'm not alone in wearing something just for myself.

Way to call it, with respect to the house of PDM. They really are meant to be obnoxious and loud and I've never really understood the hype. I also don't really detect much natural quality in most of their fragrances. But they do what they do on purpose and it seems to work for their market.
The two that I own are Layton and Layton Exclusif. Layton just works on me and gets me great compliments. Exclusif is one that I actually really like and it leaves a much more serious impression. I get RIDICULOUS reactions from it.

I think a lot of scents, we as men consumers ,cherish are really more for our own pleasure. When I recieved my Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille I was so excited to show and sample to my work friends. I was quckly schooled by the ladies that we should probably not listen to men review sexy colognes but instead find the female reveiwers. So that day I learned that ladies don't really think Oud or heavy Spice is sexy at all. Of course taste is subjective but I do tend to check out ladies reviews more often these days. I have 3 PDM's and love them, my wife hates them.

Watching this while wearing (a lot of) Musc Ravageur. To me it's not a sensual fragrance whatsoever, but it is intimate, warm and comforting. I wear it mainly when I'm alone for that reason

Around here the ladies usually liked the smell, but yet I never came across a guy who knew this one in rl. Musc Ravageur is as close to a perfect scent I've ever come across. I love the clove, warm woods, vanilla and musk. And although I could give a shit less about compliments its pulled some wild ones from strangers for me 👌

Heathen. I love Parfum de Marly and they are not loud on me. Been wearing Herod all day and love it. Then you attacked Danger, blasphemy, which I love while I don't like Enigma or Creation E. Oh well to each their own. Note I am 65 so maybe that has something to do with it. While I don't agree I like when your honest, tell us about perfumery business and history, and share your love. Like these types of vids from you best then test strips with cute guests. Just saying. Keep it up.

Regarding Parfam de Marly, I agree. I got the discovery set, I liked it , massive projection and longevity. But not amazing. I wouldn’t spend all that money on them, except for Sedly which I loved and bought. Demy Rowling would be upset though, she adores this brand. But it’s a matter of taste.
As for Creed, I really hope they don’t reach the fate you think they will, I’ll miss Silver Mountain Water and Mellisime Imperial

Interlude. No question. That's mine. Herod was a surprise though! For me it's recieved more positive feedback than Aventus. Which is not saying much really since most people here in Canada are just too polite to say SHIT about anything. 🤣 But it does have a vanilla candy vibe and my niece and nephew love it.

Trying to please everyone might actually be more connected to the fear of rejectiono rather than the need to bring others joy. But, let’s face it, the biggest rejection in life, is to reject yourself. Don’t deny yourself a benign pleasure that really could add value to your every moment. I say Nike got it right. Just do it. (Just Behique it - speaking of which - would like to know your opinion of Renier’s new Cacique?). It’s your skin in the game here.

George - great video. I agree with all the fragrances you list - especially Roja Danger, but the one I have gotten compliments on off this list is Herod. Here's a real-life example. I was wearing Herod (which as you now is pretty strong) and had applied it about an hour before I went into a clothing store and wanted to buy a wool scarf. I wrapped the scarf around my neck to see how long it was. It was too short and I handed it back to the sales associate and asked to look at another one. A different sales associate walked by us as I tried on a second scarf, and the second sales associate said: 'this scarf smells amazing!' as she folded it. True story.
My wife also likes Herod - more than TF Tobacco Vanille and thinks it smells very nice. I even know there is a fragrance reviewer from Australia who likes it as well!
I do wonder sometimes if some fragrances are geography specific. In my world, Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male smells loud and cheap (could be the people I hang out with, could be the west coast Canadians who are my neighbours), in Jeremy's world, it smells amazing in a Munich discotheque. I don't doubt Jeremy, and I don't doubt your experience with Herod, I'm just saying that in my case- for this one specific fragrance, my experience is more positive.

Hey are you saying I am old??? I received compliments with Danger when I still had to go into the office...then again I was 58 at the time. lol
For me Carlisle-I like it but 3 different ladies did not care for it. I wore my small decant until it was gone but since I have a bottle of CH Mystery Tobacco which I do like better (and so do the ladies). I never found the desire or need to buy a bottle of Carlisle as I had already sold off my Herod which was a compliment getter, but never reached for after I got MT.

That’s an interesting subject to pick up, getting compliments makes you feel great and your memory is set in stone from the who, where and when. It’s was mentioned at the start that we should not be over reliant on buying fragrances just to get compliments, it’s an accessory to your life, the accessory does not own you or rule you.
