Still tho, the last joke aside, sinking in a pool being covered in a black pool cover when its pitch dark... I wouldv died if i were in such a situation. +spooky1000 Yeah, where's the explanation on how this works? So Mr. Ritchie just invites people to go alone down to a darkened swimming pool right out of the elevator without a simple mention of, "by the way, watch your step!" or such? Is he trying to kill people??
+spooky1000 It was probably a few steps off the elevator. Mind you that there aren't much space in London. You need to be really super uber rich to own a place in mid London that have that much space for Americans pool size standard. Guy Ritchie is rich, but still not in that bracket of richness.

The elevator wasn't worthy.
That accident happend with my sister in 1999. I used to take karate training lessons in an academy that had a pool covered just like that. My sister, who is 10 years older than me, went there to give me a ride home after training. When she asked about me at the lobby, someone told her I was in a dojo downstairs. She never went there before and turned to wrong direction after the stairs. Since was late afternoon and nobody was at the pool area, the lights were off. She was swallowed by the pool as soon she stepped on that rubber cover. It made no noise and she was saved by a trainner who was just passing by at the moment.
It was dangerous as f**k, she could have died right there. To be fair, she herself makes fun of the moment, but I was scared a lot.
I got to say, the description of Guy Ritchie’s swimming pool sounds like a serious safety issue.
I always come back to this video if I ever need cheering up. Paul’s delivery of it is just the best.
Paul always has the best stories this was as funny as the other one that happened to him at the airport with his son.

Very true. It's not necessarily for safety, it's more to avoid minor objects falling in and to say "No swimming"
for an outside pool it's very useful but for a basement pool it's just creating more danger than necessary tbh

This man is a legend, besides the way he re-told that story AND the put down of Jason Statham's lack of acting ability he's always been fantastic no matter what part he has in a movie.

I went over to my friend's house and she told me to go along the fence to go out to their guest house and I didn't realize they had a pool. I'm walking on what feels like a trampoline, it's dark so I have her turn on the lights and I look down and I'm in the middle of her swimming pool on the cover. I scurry off and over to the side before anyone saw, and I luckily stayed dry!!

You know what he should do? He should get some contacts, THAT'S what he should do.
+Xiang (Fortehlolz) sometimes contacts with people that can't see a damn thing, like he said, are not an option because the contact would be too thick to wear and your body rejects them. It happened to my husband, he tried contacts for a while and there was nothing but eyes redness and tears the whole time. So I guess contacts are only for people with minor degrees of myopia or astigmatism.

@@Owlay84 Contacts aren`t only for people with minor eyesight problems. If there are problems with contacts, then either the contacts or clean fluid aren`t the proper type for the specific person or the clean fluid or the contacts are used incorrectly.
I have very bad eye sight & wear contacts for many years. They are soft contact lenses which are made for sensitive eyes (hard contacts are terrible for my eyes) & I use clean fluid for sensitive eyes. I went to a specialist & went to check-ups regularly in the beginning...we tested multiple types of contacts & clean fluids till the correct ones were found.
One of my eyes has -8 dioptres, also astigmatism -3 & the other eye has a cataract which makes the eye partly blind.

A lift that leads to a darkened room and a veiled pool! An owner of a pool (especially one with kids) knows all too well the inherent dangers that come with it. Was Guy Ritchie low-key trying to *kill* Paul Bettany? I have long suspected Ritchie as being heavily connected to the London mob. Sounds like Bettany escaped with his life (and his watch), but at what cost!
I did exactly the same thing at Buckingham Palace - I'm sure the Queen set me up.
Honestly I have embarrassing experiences like him and wake up swearing to myself about how stupid I was or am...
