      Hey how long this cvt transmission last on corolla as u know they had to replace all cvts back in 2019 if I'm not wrong I just bought 22 corolla le just concerned abt cvt transmission it doesn't have the power but if atleast last long time

      Do u know if 2022 corolla le carries a physical first gear or a launch gear and is it direct shift cvt?

      @@brianruperti I really like the steering wheel of the SE version better than the LE version which I currently own 😂😂😂😂. I will be doing major trip first time this pandemic started this weekend, so I will be driving roughly 180 miles roundtrip, will see how it will perform on gas. The 2020 only has 11.5k miles which is really low mileage for the year right.

      @@rmultani9276 it has enough power, I have the 2020 LE. You should be able to do all your city and highway driving well below 3000rpms.

    I like how this video popped up on my recommended list when I am about to buy a 2022 Toyota Corolla SE in July 2022.
    I'm getting a base SE in Super White color, say no to moonroof/sunroof package, remember kids, don't pay someone extra to put a hole on your car's roof which inevitably breaks and leaks, and you get less headroom due to the moonroof.

    It drives me nuts that the door lock/unlock buttons don’t light up. It’s so frustrating trying to find them when I want to unlock the passenger door in the dark to let someone in. Why would a modern car not have lighted buttons?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I agree with something small like that. Take this for what you will, it may help:
      The door lock button on the door has a smooth button for the unlock and a nobbed button for the lock. So without looking, you can find the unlock button right on the drivers door by feeling for the smooth button out of the two. Then you can feel for the two dots on the lock button.
      Also, most Toyotas after 2014 actually unlock all doors when you put the car in park and relock them when you put it in to drive.
      I hope these 2 tips ease your issue with the lack of button lighting.

    Thanks for this! I watched your other video on the 2022 Toyota Corolla SE review. It's what got me to buy the car. Just bought mine yesterday in the same color of the Corolla in this video. Although the interior is black. I only had to wait two and a half weeks after placing a $500 deposit to hold. Went from a 2016 Toyota Corolla S Plus to this! One big difference I noticed is the 2022 sits LOW. The new driving platform is nice! I'll miss my old Corolla. Anyways, thanks for taking the time in making this video it has helped me a lot, the manual is pretty thick and you helped me avoid it☺.

    Thank you I have a 2023 Corolla SE. I hope you make a video for 2023 soon. The dealer cannot get my Moto G5 to sync to the entertainment screen and so I can't use the radio or anything. Just bought it 3 days ago and totally lost with all the computer stuff

      Will do. You can use the radio in guest mode and access AM/FM/XM
      In the mean time please software update the phone and the car then attempt again.

    Thanks for a detailed guide!
    But how hard do you push a Corolla for it to get as low as avg 15.1 mpg?

    Thank you for the tutorial it was very helpful, however what I was searching for you didn't touch on. I want to know what the buttons are for that are underneath my rear view mirror. Maybe at some point you could do another tutorial addressing that specifically. Thank you again for taking the time to create this video!

      @AulaniMaria ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianruperti awesome, thank you! I live in the boondocks, I don't have fancy things like an automatic garage door, so I'll disregard those buttons. Lol
      My '22 Corolla is also a standard shift, is there anything I need to know that's different from your automatic?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AulaniMaria yes you have a button on the left side of the shifter called “IMT” it means intelligent manual trans it will rev match for you or assist rev matching. I find it works best when you do your own rev matching because the system doesn’t have to work as hard to make up for a couple hundred rpm. This makes for a much smoother experience and better for the trans. I love the feature because we all rev match within a few hundred rpm margin and this feature eats up that margin for you!

    Great video. Got my corolla hybrid sedan on order since May 22. There is another production delay in Japan so I should receive it sometime by Christmas......2028. I didn't realise there is a tyre pressure gauge. Is this in the base model or top of the range.

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I hope you get the car soon. Depending on your region the hybrid corolla is just the LE (base model) right now that sometimes has a premium package. We expect more trims to come soon.
