Also in XIII's intros, Shen hates Chin for somehow surviving everything thrown at him, so it's likely that K' shares his opinion.

yeah that's kind of a problem with a lot of SNK's characters where they never seem to want to make any relationships develop and just keep them in those same spots they had since the 90's and honestly that's kind of sad no one really developed from that. they're still the exact same in the exact same places where nothing really changes for them.

I never believe their relationship is actually a thing since it's basically in the same position it's been in since the 90's which even if we assume fatal fury had them in their early 20's they'd be in their 40's yet nothing to show for their relationship and pretty much lose out to street fighter given most of the characters actually moved on to other things and even Ken is already a dad with his kid old enough to want to learn how to fight.
till SNK actually shows a relationship development everything still looks one sided and Andy still lame as he always was.

To anyone who doesn't know, this was back in KOF '98, where Leona mysteriously salutes Chang and belittles Ralf. Originally thought to be a bug, the developers add as it was showing her respect for "real power". It happened again in 2002 ... and now, since Chang is back... xD

Even though KOF series is not as popular as it used to be, I still think ALL the characters are very memorable and unique. The intros alone shows how deep and varied their personalities are. I really hope KOF is able to top other fighting games. Its not impossible, but SNK need to do something about it.

Both Tekken and SF are on slow decline, while KOF is on rise. Fact is SNK's profit and sales increased and the free stream of KOF Destiny gives access to new comers and alike to get into the series.

It's not really awkward, Chin and K' had some history in the past. Chin was the reason why K' entered KOF2003 and XIII even though he doesn't care about the tournament because he saw what K' is capable of.

I'm glad to see that Joe and Billy FINALLY got a special intro. I figured that since Joe has been dating Billy's sister for a while now, they would have had some sort of special intro.
And I'm glad that the Chang salute for Leona is still around, and it's great seeing Chang return it. I don't know why, but that simple gesture seems to give Chang a little more character by showing that he at least respects Leona.
Although these convos are nice, I prefer older scenes where characters not only talk but also act, like Mai teasing Andy with the fake baby and Kyo/Iori staredown then explosion.

Well, Kyo and Iori will STILL kill each other until one of them dies. Like Ryu and Akuma, think of Kyo as the Ryu to Iori's Akuma.
+Roy Asturia I think killing Kyo is just one of the many reason for Iori to tell himself to be alive. I doubt it's the same with Kyo and after their ending, it just shows that both are more or less just fight each other because they're bored, not to that extreme like some other claim.
The Kyo/Iori conflict is one that I still haven’t found a decent answer or resolution to to this day.
I didn’t for Sol/Ky either, but at least they have it... somewhat resolved?

It's KoF, wherein almost everyone does not age like Mario and the crew, and time skips are too cliché.
No complaints about the new voice; Masahiro Nonaka is moving on from his most renowned voice act and lets Tomoaki Maeno handle the rest from now on.
Kyo's new design (or at least the model) does look oddly younger, but it's not as weird as Kensou, who looks almost exactly like Chris now.

Considering the character design and events of the game, the story timeline might be much more narrow than by game release years. Therefore instead of the story spamming 10 years, it could be by 5 years or slightly more by game story chronological perspective.
