Thank you now I know how to do this. Question. I have 10 mm stencil for cookies but I don't know what setting to put it on and any other to make the stencil. Thank you
You’re most welcome. That’s a tough one. The most common thicknesses in the cookie community are between 5 and 7.5mm for ease of cutting. If you’re on FB check out the groups Creating Cookie Stencils in CRICUT Design Space and Cookie Stencil Community. The FB platform is much more user friendly for troubleshooting and help with cut settings. Cut settings vary by machine make and model and people use lots of different settings. Both groups have cut setting tips in the GUIDES tab under the cover photo.
Thank you!! I am so happy I found your video. Other's I've watched didn't bother explaining "welding" or "bridging" and I was totally confused and ready to give up and just buy pre-made stencils. Now that I've seen your video I will definitely make a purchase of a stencil cutter.
Cricut has had quite a few updates since this video. They now have a “combine” tab. The weld feature is found there. You can also use “unite” in the combine tab. Unite can be undone after the project has been saved. A weld is permanent. I hope this helps.
Hello. I am trying to follow what you are doing but my computer is not giving me the option to “slice” once I click my bar then click my words. What am I doing wrong?
@@Kpattemychemeketaedu I made a printable step-by-step instruction sheet that goes along with the Happy Father’s Day video. You’re most welcome! I’m glad you found the information clear and helpful 🙂
Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial! Now I can make my own stencils.
How exciting! You’re most welcome ☺️
Thank you but you have any video of the cutting and the results? Can you show if you tried to use?
Mine doesn’t show weld. Mine is on a phone

The SLICE function only works with 2 single items chosen. If you haven’t ungrouped your word, then it counts as multiple items. I hope that helps!
@@creatingcookiestencilsinde2261 how do you slice it? Do I need to press anything on my keyboards?
