    I was the lead groundsman for a tree removal service for 4 yrs. and he was the best I'd ever seen. This crew did an excellent job, no doubt. All you Monday morning quarter backs should give this a shot before you criticize. If you can do better?! Then you can talk. Just my opinion.

    I did a little tree removal with GA Power many years ago. I here to tell you men you did a great job. It was unfortunate that the water line was there, but, things happen sometimes that you have no control over. You worked great as a team. Also, the man in the hooks ,my hat us of to him. Never had to climb that high. We didn't have the climbing ropes either. Again, great ,safe job!! 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏

    I felled trees for 37 years..the northern interior of british columbia then settled in a small northern ontario town on the north shore of lake superior and cut pulp and believe me I was in shape and considered myself good! What this guys does is awesome and just as dangerous plus you can make a mistake in the bush but you cannot make a mistake here for obvious reasons. I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU SIR...JOB WELL DONE!!

    This is solid work done on a complicated job by a good crew and a ballsy climber.
    It's a shame there's so many critics out there that in reality have probably never done a tree job close to this one. Think before you comment.
    I love what I do and I would loved to have been a part of this project.

    I have increased respect for these men who do this work. When I watched that man climb up that very tall absolutely straight pine tree, I couldn’t have been more surprised if someone had of given me a winning lottery ticket. I grew up in Washington state and I’ve seen logging trucks all of my life but I had no idea how complex tree felling is. Thank you very much for such a very interesting and informative TopBuzz video. WOW... People on here are extremely critical of this crew considering the complexity of this job. I don't fall trees for a living but I would imagine there are 10,001 ways things can go side-ways on a job like this. I thought this crew did a hell of a job and was EXTREMELY professional and safe! Falling a tree of this size (with one house 3 feet from the tree and the other 10 feet from it) seems as difficult as it gets. For a tick over $2,000 you got an absolute bargain. (In my opinion) I would hire these boys any day of the week! Well done! I hope you tipped them well.

      45 feet is enough. You can only get so dead. Once you believe that your gear works, the fear component goes down a bunch. I learned this on a mountaineering trip a thousand feet of air. Still nervous, but not really more so than at 30 feet.

We have that opportunity every election ! And America truly needs to get rid of the Political Figures that have used their Offices to make themselves rich and Powerful and like this tree they need to be removed ! Before they ruin America like this tree has the potential to ruin several homes !

    I worked for my uncle as a ground man many times when he took down bigger trees than the one in this video. Steady slow and safe is the name of the game.
    Fast is slow and slow is fast was the first thing he taught me and I asked him what it meant. He pulled off his shirt and I saw multiple scars from as he put it young dum and unwilling to listen to anyone one day older than him. His first job taking down a large weeping willow a large branch dumped him and the branch from near 80 feet, when he opened his eyes he was told don't move then saw the branch some 6 inches in diameter sticking out of the right side of his chest. The doctors were shocked when they removed the branch and found no major damage. He went home 5 days later and Monday was back to finish the job, he told me that he listened to older people that had been doing tree work and hired an old logger who had one leg removed from a falling accident who couldn't climb anymore but told him what to do and how to take down a tree without killing or hurting yourself or someone else. I had a few chips and bruises but never a major injury. I was 11 years old when I started as a groundman. I quit when I enlisted in the Army. The old logger was a spar high top man in Washington State and worked there as a logger for 27 years before he lost his leg. Was dropping a western cedar when it split vertically and threw him over 100 feet and broke his left leg in 9 places so the doc amputated it he didn't even know what happened until he woke up three days later in the hospital. His falling partner was killed when he was thrown into a large rock killing him instantly. The crew thought they lost both of them when it happened.
    The old logger is the reason my uncle lived to a ripe old age with only bumps and bruises after his first and last major tree accident.
    This crew in the video is doing it exactly as my uncle and me would take down a tree that size. All you guys out there saying he should be using a crane, instead of proclaiming your informed decision get off your ass and go work for a tree company or a logger and find out what life is about. It's not a video game guys. Real people get hurt and killed doing this every day.
    Stay safe out there guys.

    Loved this. You can see they had a good safety plan. That is one mean chipper. The Video guy did fantastic but missed the topping of the tree. Oh well, it still was a great video. He zoomed in and out at times and showed everything. Great job do by everyone. Main thing is no one was hurt.

    • @dabalmesbp
      @dabalmesbp 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats really not that mean of a chipper. Don''t get me wrong, it will do a 12" diameter log so its not bad but a "mean" chipper will will take care of a 19" or even bigger log. LOL
