The Bridgerton sample he used is actually based on a melody by J.S. Bach, who used it twice actually: in his ‘Little Prelude in D minor’ (BWV 926) and in the ‘Well-Tempered Clavier (Book 1) - Prelude and Fugue No. 6 in D minor’ (BWV 851).
He is brilliant genius. I love how he plays with words, sayings, the irony and so much more. He is a true wordsmith. Its so beautiful, the music he creates with his own sound, the influences from all over the word and his voice and the emotion oh god! It blows my mind how good he is!
Totally... he is following on from Bowie but perhaps with 😊more integrity (I am British). Come on Rolling Stone = put someone on the cover who is not treading the same, boring path. There is so much music out there that you do not cover.... just caught up in the same boring American rubbish (from British, European, and lover of music from around the world).... Stromae is the greatest international star since Bjork.... promote him.... you know you wanna.
The most beautiful man on earth. In all ways: his mind is beautiful. his craft. his eye (and where he draws inspiration from). You can just tell that so much of what he gives to the world comes straight from the soul. I am so grateful for him. For his art - and for everyone else around him who support him in bringing out such magnificence for us to enjoy! Bravo 🤩
I really like this artist, his presentations are incredible. He gives us a unique performance and his music is elevated, his lyrics and melodies show a real social content, allows us to listen to sounds from other corners of the planet and offers us much more than the empty lyrics and absurd phrases of pop or reggaeton, which already we are thousands who are tired of listening! That's why I've been following it for years and I love it! The musical world deserves more artists like him...! Thank you for presenting this wonderful boy on your platform, it took a long time to have him, but here he is! Thank you!!!!
i hope this isn't a dig at rosalía cause i've seen so many people come for her for making a few reggaeton tracks and completely invalidating and underestimating her art. her lyrics and melodies are also amazing. her performances are outstanding, she plays instruments as well (which a lot of people aren't even aware of and judge her without knowing anything about her work). she produces most of her music herself as well which not a lot of artists do. yes, she released a few songs that were meant for dancing and for fun, but most of her music goes deep and has a lot of meaning.
Thank you for giving Stromae this space to share his creative (genius) process and his take on this song. 🙏🏻 It’s interesting to hear that Spotify invested in the making of the video.
Love to see him .He is a transcendental artist and an incredible musical proposal. Hopefully one day he will be recognized for his productive skills.GRANDE MAESTRO
first! I had the opportunity to attend one of their concerts! In Lisbon! If you catch Stromae during tour 2022/2023 please go see him live! He's amazing!
Fils de Joie is a lovely work of art. I just think the part that makes it amazing is the consistency of the beat being so fire mixed with the seriousness and meaning of the words behind the beat. Idk speaks to me on a different way! I hope he achieves the number one song in America one day! SLAYY STROMAE! 💕🎶💕🎶💕🎶

In the interview of his album back in 2008 he spoke English fluently already … don’t know to what decade you’re referring to
