I thank God he's still around. Gave me an interest in Country music, mainly his 40 years ago beginning with a Country boy can survive. A little prophetic also with the Mississippi river going dry and I do believe we are definitely in the last days before the 7 year Great Tribulation.
@bluesify100 There was no solo instrumental feature in this particular version. Both Hank Jr. and B.B. did their respective thing, therefore it was a duo instrumental feature. Just like I said earlier..no solo.
BB smoked it…his tone was amazing as usual and he kept the band on track, they almost got confused on whether they were going to the 4 chord or staying on the one. Hanks Les Paul sounded terrible. It sounded like he was playing single coils with no sustain or overdrive. Hank sang well though and you can tell the band was on fire having the King of the Blues on stage with them.
Hank's vocals also get lost somewhere in the mix around the 2:00 minute mark, so I am going to assume that they were experiencing technical difficulties with audio during this live taping. Something is certainly "off" about Hank's guitar tone here, especially when in comparison to other live performances of this song from that particular era. Regardless, it's still a legendary performance from two larger than life musicians.
I was there
Man what a time to be a teenager
16n85
He tore the 80s up and so we😂

Bocephus had a great ride in the 1980's was so awesome to see him Mearl Kilgore and the Bama Band
Good he is so so good his the king of music to me and I'll his song
Merle Kilgore known as The Boogie King, was a part of the Williams Family since Hank Sr.
John Lee Hooker is the Boogie King!

Sounds like rc Pro-Am
@bluesify100 A duo is not a solo. Hank played first then BB came in second. Bocephus sounded much better anyhow.
LT1HILLINGHOE What? Hank never has, or never will sound better than B.B. King. B.B’s tone was amazing.
They're both great in their ways. You can't really compare the two. Just appreciate we have this video of them jamming together!
@@matthewscott8692 Obviously, they can be compared, because I did it, snowflake.
@@LT1HILLINGHOE Jesus dude. Drop the douchebaggery. I'm a major Hank fan and barely know much about BB King. No need to come at me like that.
@@matthewscott8692 STFU scooter.
