Use linguistic devices like if ur gonna talk about similies state :"The writer utilises a simile in the quote ..."(it may be obvious but some people forget to identify the language technique. Also try to embed quotes that are present in the extract as a way of analysing. When doing the structure questions remember to talk about pace ,narrative and shift in focus because those are some really good structural features that are normally in the text.Hope that helps.😊
Also when it comes to the final question try to stray away from writing as a teenager taking an exam. If you're writing as a reporter write as a reporter. Hi Mr Bruff, when given a statement in Q4 of Language paper 1 which states "the writer really brings the scene to life for the reader", how exactly can you go about answering it? This is a really vague statement, so it is not really straightforward.
Do you suggest any tips for answering each question so, for example doing question 5 first so I don’t run out of time, then moving onto another question, what order would you suggest to answer each question?
@@najm6600 well I didn't do aqa, I did Edexcel, idk why I watching this. I got a 4 almost a 5 and got a grade 3 in the summer. I mean I got 23 more marks. Idk how to help as idk what the aqa papers were like. Sorry I not helpful.

Why am I watching this? Cos Mr Bruff helped me with my GCSEs last year and just wanted to hear his voice again lol
Sym you slag
Trying to get all the vids in before Tuesday rip
My cat stepped on my tablet and liked this video. I can't disagree with that
I was pretty surprised that the grade boundaries compared to last year for this exam were quite high! Between an grade 5 and 6 it was like 12 marks.

What were the grade boundaries?
105 for grade 6 and 93 for grade 5
Well the only thing I will always learn is failure ;-;
The 2019 paper better be good and the grade boundaries hopefully are not very high especially the marks between each grade!
Nahh I doubt they'll lower grade boundaries. You'll probably need like 90 marks for a 5 since you needed 86 in June.
What score was this
Thanks for vid ! ✨

I have a video on timing in my English Language playlist. I always advise 1,2,3,4,5 but manage your timing well.
Do you have a good way to write the structure question on Paper 1
i hate the structure question:(
Nozmul Islam I got 2 marks on that question in my mocks and I thought I did well 😂
Would the same advice apply to Eduqas/WJEC?
sir you are the best
I need to achieve a level 7 by this year any sentence forms that can help me with that???

How did you get a 6 by doing one paper, you need like 100 marks, and that impossible on one paper. Besides, congrats on your grade, i happy with mine
