Hey man, just wanted to thank you for making this video. I’m currently applying to GMU, and was wondering if you could offer any other insight on your experience? Dorms, dining, study body, etc.. pretty much any expert advice you could share would be much appreciated!
If you choose a dorm in presidents park for freshman year, make sure you choose Taylor Hall, all the other buildings are extremely old and don’t have AC in the winter (starting October actually), west campus shuttles are useful and there’s a shuttle that can take you to the DC metro Vienna station, make sure you find people you genuinely enjoy hanging out with! At first I didn’t really have an active social life in my dorm and it wasn’t good for my mood, be social! I moved buildings (for other reasons) and I’m much happier here bc the ppl living on my floor now are much more fun and are easy to vibe with, also get at least one contact from a classmate in each class, you’ll need it, and communicating w professor via email is important
@@NickCarr do you exactly remember what room number and floor you were in when you were currently staying in Hampton Roads? I'm possibly thinking of considering a single room for myself too.
