It's so crazy to hear that Lee Norris was only on the show for one year. I would not have remembered it that way. Minkus was such an iconic and stand out character. One of the best moments was Minkus coming back for the graduation episode and calling attention to the fact that he just kind of disappeared.
I was amazed to learn that Minkus was only in the show for a single season; he is such a stand-out character! Such a shame that aging the show up tonally is what led to him being removed. I think it would've been nice to see Minkus coping with being shorter amid the other boys going through growth spurts, trying to change his image, and getting an episode with a proper good-bye acknowledging that friends grow apart to explain why he would be leaving the show.
Minkus was great. They should have sent his character off to college as a young genius instead of junior high if they were going to write his character out.
It’s crazy how much I actually adore Minkus. I remember thinking it was a loss that he didn’t come back and was so excited when he came back for the high school graduation.
Will's statement at 7:30 ish mark is exactly why I love this podcast. I love the show as the show, but getting to know the cast behind the scenes and the authenticity of the people involved in making the show just adds so much to the experience. I feel like I grew up as a friend in this group. Even if I knew nothing of the show, I could see myself enjoying just hanging out with these guys.

I love how naturally funny y’all are, and I understand why Eric was funny comic relief cause Will saying “shirts with mugs on them” gave me that Eric vibe humor and it like naturally funny. I listen to the podcast during work since I work in a small room and it helps me focus and I laugh out loud in each one such a good podcast of a show I love and care about

I remember the Torklesons (Dorothy Jane, Steven Floyd, Ruth Ann, Chuckie Lee, and Mary Sue), then Almost Home, where we lost two of the original kids, and added Brittany and Jason (With all those names, you'd think there'd be more of them!). And then I remember seeing Minkus, and it was just like seeing an old friend. Minkus was not Chuckie Lee, but they did have a few similarities. I love watching these podcasts, and hearing all the behind the scenes stuff.
Boys Meets World was pivotal in my life. I was born in 1985 so I am several years younger than the cast so I naturally looked up to them. Now my kids (10, 7, 4, and 2) love watching them on Disney Plus. Mr Feeny and Mr Matthews still teaching the next generation!
I was so sad when Girl Meets World was canceled. It was such a good nostalgia trap and it really feels like it was getting into gear for some good character arcs

I remember I was about seven years old and I was so intrigued by Lee Norris and thought how great of an actor he was. I loved his character on BMW. His scenes were my favorite. I was today year's old when ... 1) in an earlier Pod episode it was mentioned William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) is the voice of KITT on Knight Rider ... can we say oblivious?!? I feel soooo dumb... I never connected the dots. Mind Blown! 🤯; AND, 2) I always thought the Minkus and Topanga actors were real live brother and sister. To me, they had similar physical characteristics. Once more, mind blown. Interesting thing, I'm 54 married male, father of three, and although I watched bits and pieces of various BMW episodes, I've never watched one from start to finish. However, I'm familiar with the show's premise and characters, so I'm thoroughly enjoying getting to fully know and understand the show, the episodes and the BTS first-hand commentary of the 3 hosts and their guests. I'm sure I'll continue to get mind blown as I continue with subsequent pod 'sodes (or 'podes). Great job! PS: Now I wish more actors did similar podcasts of their shows. Perhaps one of you can take the initiative to create a podcast or introduce new podcasts modeled after yours of and about other 80s and 90s TV shows. I'm retired. What brings them together is the reunion for the memory of Mr Feeney after he dies. Whew epic
Here’s what I would do with the relationship to of Cory and Topanga to make it more realistic. Cory would support Topanga in her decision to go to Yale. Shawn would date Teresa (and break up before graduation)- but find Angela in college. Minkus and Topanga would compete in a Jeopardy type competition to see who would get to be VD at the graduation. Mr. Feeney would retire, with Turner taking his place as Principal. Amy and Allen would announce the pregnancy- giving birth to Joshua a season later, (with the whole 9 months thing- giving Morgan an opportunity to grow as a character as well- being an older sibling and the coping with the fact that her two older brothers are out of the house.) and adjusting to a fourth child. Eric l- after taking a gap year to improve his personhood, moves in with Jack at college, (and comes out to his parents as gay). Jack volunteers at an orphanage, as he’s an education major, which would bring in the story arch with Tommy. Rachel would be the RA in Corey’s dorm hall at Pembroke where he and Shawn would be roommates. Thus giving a fine conclusion to those characters we have been so long with, whilst giving an introduction to the new, and character arches to the recurring. As it is, at least for me- Boy Meets World was good for the first 5 seasons. Then, it just kind of faded out. The ladder seasons had some good ideas, but they felt half-baked in the execution and the writers felt they didn’t want to do it anymore, but they had to because it was a hit.

Lee's first audition for Michael Jacobs sounds a lot like the episode where Eric transitions from theater to acting on television and is saying all of his lines in a very over the top theater way. I wonder if Michael remembered this incident with Lee and worked it into the show.

Lee's first audition for Michael Jacobs sounds a lot like the episode where Eric transitions from theater to acting on television and is saying all of his lines in a very over the top theater way. I wonder if Michael remembered this incident with Lee and worked it into the show.
