Anything from 03-10 would be acceptable. 03 Lakers with the black band on the jersey. 06 Lakers with 81 point Kobe. The 07 Kobe. The 08 Lakers with the 60 on their jersey and Kobe with the sleeve and high socks. Or the championship run Lakers.
2k could mitigate most of the depth problems by making the generics at the end of the roster somewhat similar to the player that they weren't able to get. Kinda like the old college games. So if you don't have Chris Bosh on the '13 Heat, you instead have a 2k generic with a knock-down mid-range and some decent defensive skills. Different name, different number, different face, slightly different attributes, same role.
You're absolutely right, but teams are crippled without some of these players. At least this way they'd be viable online. The roster can be fixed for offline use otherwise.

I don't get it. On launch I specifically remember Matt Barnes being on that Warriors roster, but as I looked at it today he was removed. Something must have bugged out with the standard edition release.

Anything from 03-10 would be acceptable. 03 Lakers with the black band on the jersey. 06 Lakers with 81 point Kobe. The 07 Kobe. The 08 Lakers with the 60 on their jersey and Kobe with the sleeve and high socks. Or the championship run Lakers.

2k could mitigate most of the depth problems by making the generics at the end of the roster somewhat similar to the player that they weren't able to get. Kinda like the old college games. So if you don't have Chris Bosh on the '13 Heat, you instead have a 2k generic with a knock-down mid-range and some decent defensive skills. Different name, different number, different face, slightly different attributes, same role.
its not as fun using a fake version it just feels better knowing youre using the actual chris bosh
You're absolutely right, but teams are crippled without some of these players. At least this way they'd be viable online.
The roster can be fixed for offline use otherwise.
Not only does 2k need to add players on their classic teams but some players need face and hair updates like convington trey burke zach lavine . also the lighting on courts like utah boston and okc need to match the real life likeness
