The biggest flaw in the system is Graham Annesley. Doesn't surprise me to find out he's a former politician. No wonder it's so hard for him to admit his party of Referees are wrong.
I find it funny they say Kennedy had to deviate his line to get to the kicker, the 2 ‘blockers’ literally showed him the perfect straight line to get to him.
This referee interpretation has impacted the table. Knights v Roosters he ruled one way and now this one where he completely ruled the opposite. Happy to cop a loss on a call I don't agree with but 2 where interpretation is opposite from the same referee.
The Knights one was ridiculous both Knights players moved forward to get out of the way so they didn't block Kennedy, which is only made worse by the fact Kennedy went early and was miles inside the 10 but for some stupid the reason the bunker cant rule on it
So why did the bunker award a knock on as a try and not give a clear penalty for head high in Golden Point..the Sharks were playing one half had half a team out ..stop crying
This shambles cost the knights their season, the shambles on Thursday night cost the panthers a chance at the minor premiership. The only word that matters is 'consistency'. I don't care what the rule is as long as the decisions are consistent. I forgot, one rule to get rid of, 6 agains, the worst rule the game has ever seen.
look the blockers moved and you can't move that's the rule and didn't obstruct anyone. Kennedy was miles offside, referee discretion wasn't used and knights should've won. they disallow those but then ignore the head high shot on sharks in the 84th min to give sharks a penalty. Annesley is brain dead plain and simple, he should know better considering he once was a referee so there's no excuse for his incompetence. how can they not review the offside but they did in the challenge for the panthers/storm game off the optional restart which resulted in a penalty which was also the wrong call. buzz is clueless it was a professional foul and sin bin, a flop 6 again but then get up in this case he stayed til half time to kill the play. the only good and right call the ref made all game. why is no one talking about belinda's absolutely rubbish game? she has no idea what she is doing and can't make a call to save her life. what about the storm and panthers game with the inconsistent sin bins and lack of them and following and implementing the rules. same with the roosters parramatta game, no sin bin or send off. need bill harrigan back as head of NRL and referees to get them back to the nrl standard not these incompetent nit wits that are there because of who they know or who they are sleeping with. people that actually know the rules and aren't afraid to follow them.
The local grade ref's make the nrl ref's look ordinary. Nobody in their ear, no bunker. They make the call and then get on with it. The game flows better, no playing for penalties or blowing up because the decision ain't changing
I'm not sure what Buzz is talking about with Phoenix Crossland, he's purposely staying in the tackle, looking for a six again, and trying to see out the half time siren. The foul doesn't get much more professional than that. The blockers on the other hand, that was a joke.
@@AaronMatt Sounds as though the NRL are trying to deflect on what happened on Sunday. Why come out with these "so called reports" 2 days later? They've realised that a 💩storm could occur leading into the finals.

removing the blockers in the first place was a stupid rule change, along with the short dropout the rules changes this year might be the worst we've seen
This will be interesting when teams set up 2 players as options for field goals. The rest of the team would just have to wait on the sidelines or stand 20-30m back
Obstruction, forward pass, and to see if they got over the line/sideline or not, thats all the bunker should be used for imo. Then again, i like cricket, lol.
It ain’t Rugby League anymore I’m done as a fan It’s all about the referee the game has lost its way This thing has morphed into something that fans dnt understand
It was Sutton, in the bunker, looking for any opportunity to inject himself into the game. Has to ensure every game he's part of is decided by a whistle. He's going to cost a team a final adjudicating something completely differently to how it's been done all year.
The game was decided by the Betting agencies who sponsor ALL clubs, "Crown Betting" won the game. When people learn to accept that footy has a script, we can all move on. Did you all know that NFL has a script and the supporters are slowly finding this out..... players even have admitted to it lol. You are actually watching "Bread and Circus" bought to you by your owners....
Mate, they should get scaredy-cat Jason to take over in the NRL because if he was in charge he would be too scared to make any rules so that means they will be no stupid rules for anyone.
The ref didn't think so. This nonsense about blockers wouldn't have arisen , otherwise. Fox Sports commentators said it went through. Obviously, it was the dunderhead Channel 9 commentators.
The call is wrong. Even though Ponga missed. Then the ref had to give a penalty for the Sharks attempt because he set a precedent. It's the classic ref square up philosophy "Two wrongs make me right" But if you look at Pongas next attempt in golden point there is a player in front of him again but he ducks down, & the ref says it's ok.
@@RomeroCarpenter If Ponga had of missed, there wouldn't be this whole debacle in regards "blockers". It's obvious that Channel 9 commentators don't know what they're on about. Or just trying to cover for refereeing inadequacies.
