The 3.5L eco boost is a cookie cutter engine across the board for Ford. It's in the Raptor, F-150 reg trucks, Expedition. I was told the turbos are not reliable over short period of time if you push the engine i.e towing. For the price they're asking, it's a wonder why the trucks are not moving off the lot.

It’s hilarious that so many dudes think pickup trucks are amazing. They aren’t bros they are useful and comfortable. But you idiots driving up the price by being willing to pay so much for a very basic pick up truck. I know someone who had a paid off 2015 GMC nice truck. He traded in for a new one. Agree, Ford is cutting corners and still lacks in quality control (though they are doing better now than the last couple years) but at least they still give customers a lot of what they want. Whereas Toyota seems to want to TELL customers what they want.

Prices across the board for new vehicles/manufactures are way overpriced. The average middle class customer is not going to spend that kind of money on a new vehicle when you can buy them used for about 1/2 the price with relatively low mileage. These new vehicles are not worth the asking price. Plus the turbo junk will not last and in the end cost on average 5k-7!k to fix.
I will not be purchasing a new vehicle ever again no vehicle is worth $100,000 much less $50,000 nope not that stupid
Tundra gang rise up
2016 sr5 5.7 represent 125000 miles no issues
"When you sell it". If they last long enough to sell😅
Been to several ford dealers this past month and walked out. No way I’m paying 55,000 after “rebates and discounts” for a 34,000 truck
I am in construction and all I want is a basic truck without all that electronics. I still drive my 2001 F250 diesel. Great truck, even has a cassette and CD player with a radio. Thx Mike
I worked at a Ford dealer in 2012. Even then their prices were ridiculous. Platinum trim F-150s going for 100k even back then. Ford has always been known to have overly expensive service for mediocre vehicles.
Ford= Fix Or Repair Daily.
1:54 I am the same with you. I hate Fords, my favorite cars brands are Toyota.
The best thing about Fords is that it keeps incoming business for mechanics. Always has, always will..........
No sense going to college go to a trade school and learn how to work on 150s you'll always have a job
100k. Payments and rates to high.
They keep saying the car market is going to crash, I can’t wait to see it. When the lots are closed and they are Hauling off the vehicles then I’ll believe it.
I built a rubber floor vinyl seat f350 work truck... tickled 70k before ttl. Lol no
Had me at "For 78k I'd want a supercharged V8."
I bought a 2023 6,7 Lariat F350 18 months ago. Paid 76K, I'm starting to feel like I got a bargain with the way the prices have kept going up and the standard options are being taken away, again while they keep raising the price.
Keep up the great work.
Same damn truck and he is paying so much more. This is common. I do have a nice pickup truck but I don’t brag about it or post pictures on social media about it.
and a base ish ranger 2wd in 2007 was msrp 17k
All new vehicles are overpriced junk.
I haven’t had truck payments in 10 years. I’ve saved over $60,000 not making payments so far. When this one goes I’ll buy another 2011 for cash.
Its called inflation people. As long as we keep over printing, the value of the dollar goes to shit. Gold isnt over 2k because its value increased, its because the buying power of the dollar has decreased, and will continue to decrease.
Ford is still a little better off than Toyota. They can shove that 4 banger and 6cyl turbo crap down our throats all day, but I’ll still hold on to my naturally aspirated 5.0 V8. Hold the line, don’t buy their garbage and they will be forced to go back to the tried and true V8.
Agree, Ford is cutting corners and still lacks in quality control (though they are doing better now than the last couple years) but at least they still give customers a lot of what they want.
Whereas Toyota seems to want to TELL customers what they want.
Enjoy the Cylinder deactivation in the 5.0 BUT MUH V8
@@Michael-bu7nino cylinder deactivation on the 7.3 in my Super Duty.
@@SliderFury1 That isn't what's being compared.
@@Michael-bu7niI know, just saying. Ford does still sell a good V8 without that.
Here in central Florida dealer lots are full of mavericks. Used and new.
F series trucks are the best selling trucks because you have to buy a new one every year or two. wake people theres a reason for the sales numbers.
100k plus trucks seem to be selling like crazy here in the Albuquerque, NM area. Can’t figure it out … one of the poorest populations in the U.S. and dealers here are getting top dollar for these trucks. I’m going to AZ or UT for my next purchase, can’t get even 2-3k off here in NM 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
What would a reasonable fair price for the F250 diesel short bed in the Lariat trim?
If they sit longer than 6 months they begin to ROT. Tires, rubber, bearings, etc...all deteriorate if not used. Should be sold like used. They are not NEW anymore.
@@cyclopsvision6370 If a car sits that long then all the rubber (tires, hoses, belts...etc) will start degrading. If it isn't periodically strarted and run then the oil will all settle out leaving key component dry. Also bearings and seals will suffer. Need to tell them to go stuff it if you don't get a very good deal on a car that has been sitting outside for more than 6 months.
