What of reg.bin mods? And having multiple of those
It can be done, but it's quite more complicated. You will need to use a tool like Yapped Rune Bear or DSMapStudio.

Your a legend man, i was losing my mind trying to work this crap out blind.
Do mods affect the appdata file? I mean if I only use skin mods and want to update my backup data once in a while and if I also want to go back to vanilla once in a while can I just copy the current files in my Elden Ring data files and replace the outdated backup files with them or do I need to take more steps?
I tried applying a mod (raptors set colour change) using mod engine 2 and it didnt work. Even when the 'mod engine 2' was inside the game main files folder.
The bat file that was supposed to launch the game... didnt do so. So i changed it's name to 'start_protected_game.exe', still didnt work. A small black screen appeared just for a fraction of a second and that was it.
Mod engine 2 (folders and files) being into the main game folder or otherwise didnt change a thing. The anti cheater toggler would only work on the original 'start_protected_game.exe' file, so i am unable to use the exe (modengine 2 launcher)/bat (eldenring_launcher.bat) from modengine 2. When using the original '*.exe' file (the one that worked for the anti cheat off mod) the game was able to launch normally, but with no mod whatsoever.
Any help?
*The 'raptors set mod' files were only dcx files inside the 'parts' folder.
Every time I put the armor on it bugs my game out till it crashes did I do something wrong?

When I install Mod engine 2, with the same steps as in the video, in the launchmod_eldenring file, I do not get the ".bat" nor does it let me start elden ring by clicking on that file. Do you know why this is?
can't speak for why it doesn't work, but if you have file extensions turned off, it won't show you the suffixes on files (such as 'eldenring.exe')
you can look up file extensions to see how to turn the setting on online. hope you figure it out!

For me the .bat file works, but ER doesn't load my mod for "Maps for Goblins".
Can i also use my main char if eac is off and mods installed?

This has been very informative. However, I have questions. Are texture/mesh replacers bannable? Assuming yes, can a save file, having used a mod to replace the mesh and texture of an existing armor, continue as is after removing said mod? Or would I have to overwrite with a clean backup save? If it isn't obvious, I haven't modded any fromsoft game before.
Mods, period, can run the risk of getting a ban. It’s why playing through Mod Engine starts you in Offline Mode.
Can you Do tutorial how to download mod in elden ring no steam??
I am pretty new to modding I have a way esier time using vortex and was just wondering if vortex is bad because i dont really see any modding guides using it.

Curious, if I download the mods and they are in my Elden Ring folder, what would happen if I forgot to turn off the Anti-Cheat? Would the mods not work or would I risk a ban of some sort?
banned and mods not working. that being said, being banned only disabled offline mode and im sure there is a mod that could fix that for you if it did happen.

Do u have to toggle off anti cheat? do u have to pay for any of the mods?
Yes, you need to toggle off Anti-Cheat in order to play with mods otherwise you could get banned (or the game won't allow you to play at all. Don't entirely know) and you don't have to pay at all to download mods
anyone know how to install convergence mod with other mods?
I had my mods working correctly then i went & downloaded another one but unfortunately it conflicted with one od my important mods so i felt like i had to restart over again. So i came to this video tutorial. I thought I did everything right. i launched the game & my mods are not working. ☹
where do i put other normal mods, in the mod engine folder or the game mod folder?
Smaller mods usually go into the game's mod folder (if they contain a .dll file).
However, to be sure, always read the description of the downloaded mod, which will specify how to install it.

Check to see if the mod you’re using has any Requirements. Go to the mod you want to use, scroll down on its page, and see if it has any.
What if I am on cracked (i will buy the game but I just wanna check if I would like it. I know I can refund it but I just don't like refunding what I bought.)? Should I still download Toggle anti-cheat?

It Mod Engine/Seamless CooP use a different save port.
Open the main game, delete the Mods, and you’re fine.

Hi, I basically followed a tutorial that was pretty much identical to yours and I had a question. I modded my game and downloaded and armor set, which works perfectly fine, but I decide to install a different one which caused my game to bug out and have three frames per second so I uninstalled that mod and reinstalled the first one that worked once I did that and launch the game I would get halfway through the progress of the game loading in the game crash. It is when I have the installed when I uninstalled the mod. It is fine. I have verified the games files uninstalled the game and reinstalled it multiple times. Do you have any ideas or solutions?
if i were to just delete elden ring and reinstall, will it go back to normal without the mods?
Can't you just manually delete mods the same way as installed
@@ExinithYes. You can simply delete the mod folder and the other mods as well. Delete the reg.bin and verify file integrity. Easy.😊
