Had the same problem. twice replaced the receiver, but same issue. no signal. After removing the dash can power, signal came. Great. thanks

Already had a ferrite core for my dashcam in my recently purchased 64 plate Audi A3 convertible, but after watching this video it got me thinking about my wireless phone charger/holder. Removed the power supply and hey presto, DAB was up and running. Have ordered ferrite cores to add to the power supply for the wireless charging holder and hope for the best. Cheers buddy, great help!! Will also try in another car we have where DAB has always been an issue!!!

What are the clips called
I just fitted my dab serial today and had no reception as well and figured this would be the problem, thanks for confirming, I'll buy myself another set of ferrites, I've used all the others on all the other USB chargers for my phone, 4g dongle etc. Nice vid 👍🏼

Had my old stereo replaced with a Kenwood DAB unit by a shop.
I’ve a heads-up obd 2 plug in display and that’s been killing my DAB reception for weeks been ringing the shop thinking the Ariel’s faulty or poor quality.
Watched your video and thought about what could interfere, chargers some aftermarket led bulbs but it was the heads-up.
Unplugged it and DAB is good now.

Mine didn't or wouldn't work Before fitting a Dash cam..? Any Answers? On my M G. H S. Top of the range model.
If it deosnt work then loop the lead through a ferrite core, which is the correct way to install these cores.

Thank you for that, skoda Main dealer will be interested to watch this as they said when the radio kept cutting out and NO DAB it was down to the DAB signal but you would be fine because you still had FM. joke.
😆I guess that's main dealers for you always trying to blag it...If you use the ferrite clip that will do the job.😎👍

I've been driving myself mad trying to fix a similar issue, rewired everything twice and it's not helped. Going to give this a go!

If your dash cam is plugged into your 12v socket in the back and front then most like yes..my front dash cam is hard wired to my fuse box so its not interfering with dab signal.
@@emojicarmods4924 my front dash connected to fusebox.And my rear dash getting power from front dash.They are conected together.
And if I plug in rear to front dash den I completely lost signal...and I put on thees things already 4.
Better maybe rear dash wire from front to back on ground?Thx anyway your answers.🙂

No.it goes around the dash cam wire
Hi there, great to come across this as being the normal problem for DAB / Dashcam users. Thought I was going insane. Can I ask did this resolve the problem 100%? I put one in the front and rear (ferrites) and now and again things go for a few seconds or in areas I lose it altogether for a while. Cheers. (def made it better though).
Yes my bro sorry for the late reply..Yeah I get what your saying in regards to the (DAB signal) in certain areas I do experience loss of signal for a few seconds and its back... but having the ferrites clips on makes life more easy.😎👍💯
Top man thanks for the reply. I’ve found that the radio station that was last on will boot up before the dash cam is ready once I turn the ignition on. That station is perfect but I won’t get anything from the other stations for a few mins. Then they all seem to win the battle against the dash cam signal and I’m all good again. Taken a while to get the cam placed also as I found the shark fin on the roof is part of the circuit. I’ve got a BMW F31 and looking at the rear of the car back window the heater element in the glass also holds the antenna running down and moving the camera near it I would lose the stations. Anyway putting that here in case anyone in the future is in the same boat. Enjoy it.

@@armanis1234 not sure but try and see if that’s the problem if not it possibly could be a problem with the actual head unit itself 😎

@@armanis1234 I wouldn’t know what to suggest in terms of what it can be. Only thing I’d do is try and get a replacement or buy a new one.

Same issue without dashcam
Maybe it could be something silly like charging your phone via the 12v socket this can also interfere with the dab signal..As silly as it sounds but it's also possible this can be one of the reasons...😎👍😉
