    The single tilt cylinder for the bucket on my BX2680 is really the only negative I have with it...yep its in the way when you are trying to see sometimes. The other thing, never let your dealer talk you out of having the 3rd function and rear remotes installed...even if you don't need them right away, its a headache later on and a reason I don't have a lot of attachments now.

      All tractors have pros and cons thats for sure. Kubota is a great tractor I just needed more lift and digging force. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

    Moved my bucket control arm when I added a soft cab for snow blowing in the winter. No issue with it turned to the back and a gave more access room. Literally 5 minute fix.

    Great video. We have the 1723e for our 3ha commercial orchard.
    It is brilliant! I call it our swiss army knife tractor. Mowing deck is great quality and works excellent! Don't need the back hoe which is why we got the 23. We mow our entire 5ha property with it incl our gardens. Had it for 3 years now 1000hrs and can't be happier. Even load our compost in our spreader behing the big tractor with it. And its main job is picking up fruit with custom trailer. Think narrow row vinyard style. We run the tyre pressure really low in the rear as the small wheels make for a very bumpy ride. I think we run only 0.5bar in them!
    Before you buy the backhoe model check what a local trench digger charges if you just want to dig for piping etc. Trench digger incl man cost only 150NZD an hour here and is waaay quicker then backhoe and in my case I will only need them for an hour or so once every 10 years so didnt make sense for us to spend thousands extra on the hoe.

    I have the 1725 mb. It's a good tractor but the if you get a 3 point attachment such as an auger or wood chipper you can't use the pto without being in the seat or putting weight to trick the safety switch to thinking you're in the seat. An easy way around it is tilting the seat forward and putting a something on the white switch under the seat.

    Nice review ! I was looking at one of these , But went with a M-F 1526 compact with a fel didn't need the backhoe , & it had a higher lift which I needed to work with my 1 ton dump truck , & I liked the 3 speed hydro. I bought brand new in 2018 , & it's been a great tractor ! I did talk my brother into buying a 2020 M-F GC1723EB & at 1st he was going to buy one without the backhoe GC1723E ! But changed his mind ! & is elated with it , & has surpassed me in seat time , & hours , But I also have a 1959 M-F 50 gasoline engine that gets seat time as well so we might be even there ! Thanks for the honest review , & video.

      I had a couple backhoes and wouldn't have another. They were hard on my frame and I broke it twice but the new ones look better engineered. Mine didnt have enuf reach to dig deep and you had to move a lot to get much digging in. Also every time I had it on I needed the 3 pt. for a blade, mower, disc, etc. They look kinda neat but tge liability digging in town with all the utilities , cables, phone, and fibre optics takea the fun out of digging. Plus you have to give 48 + hours notice every time you dig.

    Thanks for the video. My backhoe control panel tabs that hold it onto the tractor broke after only about 50 hours of use. I bolted some angle brackets to it to secure it and it is rock solid now. I could have had it replaced under warranty, but the tabs would probably break again.

    I like mine. same as yours 1725mb from 2021. But I think it's underpowered for many things. It will not pull a box blade that is half full, even in low gear and 4x4. Works good with the brush mower. Backhoe is fine but it won't break very large roots, if it's clean dirt you can do pretty good to dig holes and trenches. I think I would prefer more weight(larger tractor frame size) and gear transmission. Skip the hydro. It is nice and small so it maneuvers well and the bucket works fine for moving quantities of dirt and gravel but isn't great for taking up sod.
    Put outriggers down before you climb into seat then you can step on the little step for that purpose.

    FYI At 9:45 you said you can use the mower at the same time while you have the backhoe installed. That's not exactly true. You can run the mower and drop the deck a little but you can't drop the mower deck all the way down to it's lowest point. The three point hitch arms get hung up on the backhoe and it won't let them drop all the way down. This also makes it very difficult to install and remove the deck while the backhoe is installed. Other than that I love this machine and am very glad I bought one! Thanks for the review. I have the GC1723E.

    I have a Massey GC1725MB also. I liked the stat's better then the Kubota's. The backhoe bucket has a larger capacity. I lower the outrigger before I get on the tractor for a little more room. I only get on the tractor on the left side, away from the loader stick, It can be inconvenient to walk around. I would like M.F. to change the thumb to cup or bend into the bucket, more like a grapple for better grabbing power.

    • @lawnBot
      @lawnBot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! The same reason I choose the the Massey over the Kubota BX23S. The front loader wasn't even close on the lift capacity. Plus the Forward/Reverse function felt natural on the MF vs BX. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻

    Good review of the GC1725MB. I have the older GC2610 TLB model. I have seen some things on the 1725's that are improvements over the 2610, while other things are inferior. The casing on my backhoe is certainly better and beefier (bigger, stronger, more bolts, etc). My backhoe also has steps built in, so I don't have that big step up like you demonstrated. It's too bad they have cheapened the backhoe casing. Thanks for sharing! - Rick

    Excellent Vids... Very informative -- am shopping for one now... So all the reviews are very helpful - I haven't sat on the Massey yet, was curious about the shifter you said you hit when jumping on, is it possible to loosen and twist it back so the manufactured angles give more space? Not sure that makes sense. Looking at minute 8:41 gives a good look at it. Face it backwards to the current configuration.

    • @lawnBot
      @lawnBot  ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry my uncle has the Kubota BX23s the Massey is better. It has the two tilt cylinders over the bx one and the 922lbs lift capacity over the bx which is 625lbs without turning up. The other specs are nearly identical, between the two the one complaint is most likely a factory screw up that handle is meant for hand hold so probably poor weld. For me I would pick the heavier lift capacity better Massey and beef up that piece if the new warranty part isn’t better. I hate the single lift cylinder lower capacity the Bx23s is awesome otherwise. Of course as a Ky farm boy I’m going to use that cylinder as step all day and just not touch the lines.

    I bought the Yanmar SA424, bigger tires, more ground clearance, more tire traction, more lifting capacity, ten year warranty and the best engine, even JD uses a Yanmar engine and it's less money that the competition and doesn't have the goofy Kabota pedals. • @lawnBot
      @lawnBot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congrats on the 424! The Kabota pedals are a little uncomfortable operate IMO. 1 reason I choose to go with Massey. Massey has a decent loader lift cap and BH dig force. For what I do I needed the smaller setup that packed a punch. The GC1725 holds it own in the categories that mattered to me. Plus, I got it a killer deal on it. That always helps. I live in a rocky area and was concerned about ground clearance so that really helped make my decision to go with Yanmar. The dealers are far and few, one would not return my call probably because I had cash and they wouldn't ever see it again for service and the other wouldn't give me the factory rebate that the manufacturer had given the dealer, it was a very aggravating experience to deal with the dealers.
