This 70 Dodge Challenger is covered in a bright green paint color that it wears proudly!!..The factory 1970 Dodge Challenger body has been heavily body to give it a more aggressive look. The interior is custom with a mixture of late model Dodge Challenger Hellcat and full blow street machine custom, mixed perfectly..This 1970 Dodge Challenger Kryptonite from the 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals is a wild custom and the interior fits the build! Under the custom hood is the modern Hellcat transplant and a lot more custom fabrication work...Wheels are a personal touch and no one set will please everyone...I think the ones they chose to run on this 1970 Dodge Challenger from the 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals work well with the rest of the build...This 70 Challenger is custom from front to back...There is not another one like it..It was unveiled at the 2022 Detroit Autorama where it was one of the 2022 Great 8 Winners...When it showed up at the 2022 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals to compete for the 2022 Goodguys Street Machine of the year...It was one of the 2022 Top Five Goodguys Rod and Custom Association Street Machine Of The Year winners...A award winning Custom 1970 Dodge Challenger for sure... Exactly!! That's insane...1000 hours. So, to put this in perspective, let's just say on the low end he's $100/hr, that's $100k in just the hood alone.

Spoke to the builder at Good Guys and he told us they blew a radiator hose during the autocross. He said that probably blew their chances of winning the street machine award.

Yep, that's what happened. I was the one driving the car. The car that won was a beast too.
It was actually the heater hose that came off.

a full Hotchkiss suspension front and back, Cal Tracks Bars, Baer Classic Disk Brake Kit, 410 CID EFI

Is that a gen-2 camaro spoiler? The sides are a dead giveaway.
I have mixed feelings about ruining such a rare classic with a resto-mod redo. There's about 200 billion retro challengers in the USA alone that you can just go get off the lot anywhere. There aren't enough original real challengers left in the world that haven't been grossly molested. Nothing at all is sacred anymore, and it's heart-breaking.
