I'm new and just discovered you. Aloha! I recently acquired the 1968 Mexican 25 Pesos coin commemorating the Mexico City Olymics. I was vissitingMexico City in 1970 and saw some of the facilities they had built. Because I like chunky silver coins I asked my LCS and got the 1 Onza and 5 Canadian silver dollars. I really wanted the one with the goose because I had been in Montreal for Expo 67.

Best sovereign gold coin for Americans is the AGE or Maple, but I personally like the Britannia due to lower premium and high security features... Right now supplies of everything seem to be low, so keep an eye on Instagram sellers... I will let you know if I see anything, but I am not buying right now until I am settled...
I have one of these Mex 50 Pesos and what I don't like about them is that they are not pure .9999 Gold even in this video it looks like they have other metal mixed in. When you compare a gold Buffalo next to a Gold Peso there is a big difference. I would take a gold Buffalo over the Mex Peso. I love the Mexican Silver Libertad's and prefer those over the Silver Buffalo's. Good video tho. Thanks for posting.

I've been stacking since January. I've acquired around $16000 worth under my belt. Mexican silver is my jam!!! I have a bunch of Aztec rounds so I went for a bunch of 47-48 Cinco pesos, I have quite a few libertads and a bunch of other silver from Mexico. My oldest is 1780 I think. I am thinking about trading a bunch of silver for a gold 50 pesos but I don't want a restrike... fingers crossed ..I have a couple 1/10 oz age but nothing in a full oz and I want this count to be my first ..hifive

Also with everything going on and the CBDC’s being announced it’s starting to seem like I should be getting what I can when I can, but I could use a voice of reason. Also where can I get a fractional gold Libertad? Are the premiums higher than the AGE’s ? I’m on Instagram and I’m not seeing anything about Libertads. Either Gold or silver.
1/4 oz Libs are expensive and hard to get... AGE's always carry higher premiums! Frac Libs are around but really high premium and can cost double their gold value...
Hello Libertad King. Actual count vs Mintages on 50 pesos are not true anymore. Many 50 pesos over time have been melted. They are scarcer than most people think. I know personally of a guy who owns a currency exchange I. Guadalajara that melts them.
I did not know that... If that is the case you are right and they are much rarer than the mintage numbers... That is great news because I collect these and plan to add at least one per year...
@@AlohaStacker it was explained to me that gold is moved faster this way. He can either wait for someone to buy coins from him or he melts and sells immediately in jewelry bulk markets. Sad right!

Restrikes are the cheapest... So 1947 in that case. If you collect them then you may have to pay quite a bit to get earlier years.
Is there anywhere I can get 1/4 oz’s for fairly cheap? With the craziness going on I’m only finding 2021 AGE’s for $620. 1/4 oz Libs are expensive and hard to get... AGE's always carry higher premiums! Frac Libs are around but really high premium and can cost double their gold value...

I don't! That would be quite an error coin to have on hand!

Hello Libertad King. Actual count vs Mintages on 50 pesos are not true anymore. Many 50 pesos over time have been melted. They are scarcer than most people think. I know personally of a guy who owns a currency exchange I. Guadalajara that melts them.
I did not know that... If that is the case you are right and they are much rarer than the mintage numbers... That is great news because I collect these and plan to add at least one per year...
@@AlohaStacker it was explained to me that gold is moved faster this way. He can either wait for someone to buy coins from him or he melts and sells immediately in jewelry bulk markets. Sad right!
