      @josearce4436 I'm starting to take ubiquinol. I'm 45 and not on statins, but I had labwork done, and I'm deficient in coenzyme q10. There are many who take it without other problems, but just the minimum dosage, 100mg.

    I was diagnosed with heart disease and an auto immune disorder over 11years ago and for a very long have felt unwell with chronic fatigue. Well just recently a lady chiro suggested COQ10 and there has been a great improvement. Actually no other vitamin,mineral has ever given such a quick good health response. It is like it gives oxygen to the cells and breathing is easier.

    Ubiquinone has two ketone groups, where ubiquinol has two hydroxyl groups. This difference makes ubiquinol more polar, and therefore easier to move into the cells of the body, and into the mitochondria to assist with ATP synthesis.

    • @PrevMedHealth
      @PrevMedHealth  5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes. That’s the logic. And a great justification for advertising the hydroxylated product. Have you critically looked at the evidence re: or not that’s actually a practical concern? From what I have seen, it appears not.

    I find your method of presentation to be very engaging. Years ago I noticed that people are much more interested in looking at a person rather than some object. As I walked near a busy roadway, I noticed that people were looking at me rather than the traffic around them. I suspect that that is natural as people are evolved to pay attention to a person rather than the tail end of a vehicle just in front of them. So long as your face is also presented, people will be able to listen to the abstract stuff. Your method may seem simple but it is effective.

    3 days into it.
    I have weak body. Harsh voice due to which I feel weakness, dizziness and tightness in abdomen if I talk for long. Anxiety problem and difficult to focus without increasing heart rate.
    Just single dose of 120 mg when I took first time, I saw improvement in all of those symptoms. I noticed less inflammation in stomach and easy breathing. I can concentrate for hours without going blank. I can talk more than earliers with ease. These all symptoms also improved earlier when I was prescribed SSRI anti depression drugs due to overthinking and acidity that time.
    Overall I can conclude this COQ10 is the powerful antioxidant which really decrease inflammation at cellular level and boosts energy. One more thing I can eat more now and digest all food. Earlier I used to get tight stomach while eating more often. That's not the case now. More food, more energy...

    There are many of us that feel a lack of energy with Ubiquinol, and a nice kick in the pants with Ubiquinone. Ubiquinol is a more water soluble form. The Kaneka made CoQ10 is the best stuff you can get but it's hard to find. Everyone is using generic stuff in their products. Jarrows and Healthy origins are two brands that still use the Kaneka Ubiquinone. Kaneka still holds the patent on Ubiquinol, so go by price. It's all the same. Almost all the studies have been on Ubiquinone not Ubiquinol! I have waisted a lot of money on different brands of Ubiquinol. The result is always the same. NO ENERGY! I'm sticking with the cheaper Kaneka Ubiquinone!

    • @JonathanDLynch
      @JonathanDLynch 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Just following up... I have stuck with this and have expanded my exercise routine. For context, I am 49. I do 30 minutes of biking Mon-Sat (mornings), with hills, and I do weights Mon.-Sat (evenings, with weighted stair running Mon. and Thurs). This feels like a ton of intense exercise for my age. Not trying to humble brag, just explaining my perceived benefits of ATP-focused supplements.
      My supplements are niagen, ubquinol, mito-Q, norval, pregnenolone, and rhodiola rosea. The first three are supposed to help mitochondria, but all of them help with energy. I really feel like the supplements have given me enough recovery power to keep up with my workout regimen, which, in turn, is helping with my plethora of metabolic issues. I would add in creatine, but I am self-conscious and my hair-loss and creatine can, supposedly, speed that up.

    As a layperson I'm still a little confused. Is research showing COQ10 Ubiquinol as not being effective? (Only 4% getting into the bloodstream) Or is there a COQ10 Ubiquinone available that is better? Also....how much should a diabetic with high blood pressure, COPD, taking stating, like myself, take daily? I just read your answer to someone else to take Ubiquinone if taking statins as I do (Atorvastatin). Then you said Ubiquinol is slightly better but more expensive. If I don't mind paying more for a better supplement should it be Ubiquinol for a statin user or Ubiquinone? Confusing.....

    Do your own research on which product to buy, not all supplements contain exactly what they claim. Labdoor or consumerlab are excellent resources as they test products and identify what the supplements contain. There are alot of inferior products out there. Also, don't expect just one product to make a significant difference to your wellbeing, we are often deficient in trace minerals, b vitamin, efa's etc. Research, research, research, we are all different.

    Are there studies that took patients taking a statin, comparing muscle pain among those taking CoQ10 and those not taking CoQ10? Muscle pain is one of the primary side effects of statins. Are there well founded theories about what causes the muscle pain? Could it be reduced CoQ10?

    How much do you take; what is advised? I take my CoQ10 in a supplement called Statinzyme which is supposed to offset the negative effects of the statin. It has several other ingredients, mainly fish oil and some B vitamins. Maybe an investigation of that supplement might be helpful.
