That was awesome !! what a great video !! lot's of laugh's and beer's !! I was woundering if Farly is a trained inspector of motor running !! He is so happy when the machine is running !! lol PS love my new shirt
Eventually, but don't wait for it. There's a ton of videos on how to use multi-meters and the Polaris Master Service manual can be found on vintagesnow(dot)com. Those manuals list the values for all the components.
Those were cool sleds i always thought. Then again im a sucker for 1 luggers. Also love the shovel nose skis(what i call them 😂) Awesome to see it was just the coil. I use a business card to clean them sometimes too...im thinking rubber track might be best, less weight and on ice cleats can be fun😂
Welcome back Lonnie! Too bad I missed you at Princeton 🤷🏻♂️ I see you got the new hound! Should be a good friend for Farley! Did you get the name Daisy from the movie Gran Torino? Same dog, same name in that movie lol Should be a good little sled for the one lunger rides 👍 Good job getting it running guys! Cheers 🍻
I had a 72 colt 250 that would run 67 mph race that many times the 250 ext would take me on a short track that 250 would take not be taken on a 1/2 mile track.i would run it in 340 440 mod class

Hi Daisy! Lonny, throw some ape hangers on that Gemini!
Good idea!!
@@nuttersspeedshop A trend that thankfully never hit the snowmobile market.
@@Z-Bart You may see it yet LOL.
New puppy!!!! Oh and I think I saw a snowmobile being worked on? You had me at puppy.
Daisy says hi!
I learned to ride on a 340 colt ss definitely brings me back
Could you please make a guide how to trouble shoot and measure electrical components with a multi meter for dummies like me?

Reinforce front left motor mount and a bigger top gear! (and a Walbro if you really want to make it a runner).
Change out a Mikuni for a Walbro LOL!
Only if you want it to be fast!
@@MrStorbeck LOL
What!? Seriously..... change a mikuni for walbro? No no no.
Through experience, always check the coil first. Easiest thing to replace and fairly inexpensive...

Lonnie is going to make the call, but I think he's leaning towards cleats.
Cleats are faster!
Do you have a older polaris style flywheel puller or does the slp puller work on them older motors?
I used the SLP on this one because it was 3 bolts. Had to make a 4 bolt puller for TXs.
whats just as good but not as fast? a good old 244. i would like to see a triple version of the 244.
You would need to start with a 60mm stroke base, so a 650 crank.

Daisy was her baby name at the breeders and it fit so it stuck. Thanks Rob!
I had a 1973 400 scorpion when I was young how hard would it be to find one and how outrageous would it be priced?
I suppose it depends on where you live, but it's a pretty common sled in my area.

That's awesome. What motor mods did you do?
Instead of cleaning carbs ur cleaning points
LOL
