      All it needed was three little machine screws replaced in the secondary to fix it. The ends of the screws have unthreaded tips which wear down over time and allow the secondary to close too far. This increases the tension on the belt causing it be too tight.

    I used to Ski Doo outside Corner Brook back in the late 70's / early 80's. Nothing quite like Ski Dooing on a clear night with a full moon. Good times.

    I remember growing up riding snowmobiles. I was around 6 when I got my first 1970s skidoo. I am 35 now, by the time I was 18 the snow here in Massachusetts disappeared. We have not had a real winter since 2012ish. We are lucky to maybe get 8 inches of snow a year now, when we used to get over 4 feet. So, that hobby is over. I don't know if you notice a drop in snowfall up there, bu the northeastern part of USA notices it hard.

    how to tow a snowmobile.
    You short tie one ski to the back of a sled!
    Then you tow with nobody on it.
    If you have to carry somebody put them on your sled.
    Makes it extremely easy !

    • @AndrewMossOutdoors
      @AndrewMossOutdoors  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where they found it was about 2/3 hours from the closest town on Snowmobile. If they went back in on quad in the summer, it might take you 4+ hours on an ATV. If you consider the brooks/rivers & bogs you would have to cross with a trailer in tow with the skidoo on it. It's nearly important even with all the man power you could find to help out.

      Thanks for the comment. If you watched the full video you'll see that I said it was recorded in 2018, and yes, the Snowmobile was manufactured in 1991, but im assuming based on the kms on the machine that it was lost in 1993.
      So, if we do the math, from 1993 to to 2018... it works out to be around 25 years lost in the wilderness. Just a guess, but I dont think it would be far off that number.
