That waterfall is well known around Tonopah and Goldfield. That mountain does get snow and there are mountain sheep on it. The hole to the right side of the waterfall was a miner's cubby hole house. His mine was further around the mountain to the northeast but the Test Site frowns on anyone going over that direction. I've been told that weddings have been held there in the past. I climbed part way up the falls several years ago but at this point, I'm a bit old for any serious hiking. Glad you made it up as far as you did and could show us what was up there. The pile of wood you found before the falls, was a train stop and there was an old train car there until a couple of years ago and someone removed it. Keep up the fun.

You've taken me back to the mid to late 70's with that Coors can. They had two iterations of the first post pull tab cans. I'm not sure if the one you found was first or second, but it's certainly from around 1976-1978. BTW the second type had two push tabs, one small to vent and one larger to drink/pour. Also same approximate vintage. Keep doing what you do, it's great!!

You just found the Lost Dutchman mine. That rust-colored rock by your head, when you stopped at the top of your climb was one of the indicators of gold deposits--pyrite. The others there were quartz and maybe even a bit of black sands--sulfites. That rotary kiln was processing gypsum by the looks of the debris on the outside. Borax was around, too, so who knows?

Have you been to the waterfall at the bottom of Hall Canyon in Panamint Valley? It's sort of blocked off by the Indian Ranch, but there is actually a series of waterfalls. I've seen three of them, but several are only accessible to people with serious mountain climbing skills. That said, the bottom one (which is about 60 feet tall) is an easy walk once you have permission to go there.

I’m just as amazed as you are…wow! Comes from underground I’m sure, so the water would be very cold. Very cool.

Ball/rod mill or perhaps a rotary kiln at a mercury mine.

This is a treat this week. Yesterday, I got to see a video from Anna's Burning Curiosity. She went "All Terrain Anna" to climb to an old castle in The Czech Republic. And now I get to see Sarah
Jane go "All Terrain Hussy" near Area 51🙂Been a great week. Thanks a heap, Sarah Jane...and much love to you and yours.

Im new to your channel you should have day pack with the 10 essential and in your case snake bite kit. I know for some it could take away the simplistic rawness of exploring
Thanks for sharing the solitude there is amazing especially at night. I live in the woodlands mountains 97% of my backpacking trip start after dark love that solitude. I dont live as close as i use to but i find the desert a amazingly beautiful place to spend time in.

I think finding the source of the waterfall would have been a good job for your drone. It could have gotten close to what you thought was the source in the bushes when you were standing above on the second day. Nice find though.

I think you're right Sarah, there probably were wild animals around that area. They'd definitely find you to be a juicy morsel. Nice video!

That Coors can was from mid 70's , a trick someone showed me to open them, roll a golf ball around the top while pressing down

The second water falls at Panamint Spring is pretty cool as well. Not sure if you did the second one. Also, all of those canyons on west side road in Death Valley have springs and little water falls way up the canyons. The same goes for Saline Valley.

Is the water safe to drink ?
You should get test cylinders and take samples and have them tested when you find water
That is an old style can that I think just one company used, maybe Coors ?
